According to wiki the guy with the glasses name is Vic. Apparently this show was originally gonna have 6 people in the group but they were making changes and for some reason they changed it to 5 people and cut Vic out of the show. I thought by Season 2 we could've seen him again but he never came back.
The way this version would’ve been more popular on Freeform b/c if anyone actually paid attention with 6 teens instead of 5 (like the original) it would’ve been the total *FRIENDS* remake!
Vic was pretty cool too, he was like Logan but to the extreme. Having a character make a foam party instead of it being an accident is way more funny and interesting.
This was the first Pilot episode they directed and decided not to air instead they cut off one of the character since it feels over crowded with characters and Directed a new Pilot which we see in the series.
I wish they kept vic he was such a down to earth guy that will know how to start a party seeing him so chill with everyome he could been the easy well like person at school plus the episode when logan and Garrett have a sleep over it would been so different
Seems What ended up happening was that production ended up fusing Logan and Vic together as one character because Logan character seems a bit different from the original series then the way he is in the pilot.

This show never made me laugh but this pilot showed how much better it could've been because they did make me laugh here. At least laughing the things they should've kept. They should've kept him, the dark humor presented here and the "explaining how we got here" concept all the way through. And finding out all the shit Peyton Clark and his dad did IRL, they definitely should've kept Vic and replaced him!
I say this with respect but I'm glad this was not the pilot that aired. I see a lot of people commenting positively about this and while i respect your opinions this is a horrible pilot for I didn't do it in my opinion. I mean Vick is an entertaining character and I would have been curious about what he could bring to the show but at the same time I can see why they cut him because Logan basically already has all of his characteristics and with him on the show Garrett practically had no character and was basically just standing there in the background except for one scene at the end where he said something about being clean in the basement. I feel bad vics actor was let go that truly is awful to be let go after one episode but if this hadn't happened we wouldn't have gotten the logan and Garett we knew from the series. Problem number 2 is I don't think throwing a party with a dead body in the house is funny it would be funny if like in the original pilot she kept waking up frequently throughout the party that's legitimately funny but since that only happens once in this pilot I can't help but feel this plot element is not only not funny but I also feel this is too dark of a plot for an episode of a show that is geared towards kids and preteens. Finally however, and this is my biggest issue the biggest problem can be summed up in one word and that's this: chemistry. By chemistry I mean the chemistry of the group of friends now on the agree version of this show the close bond of the friends along with the retelling of events is what carries the show. My problem is with the exception of at the party these friends never interact together but rather do so separately. In the original pilot they're all seen in the room together when the lindy and Logan recount the story and there's a scene where all of them at once remind Lindy and Logan that classes isn't all they share and they also share the trio being both of their friends. I would argue without these scenes this group of friends has no chemistry because the majority of interactions take place in separate groups rather than all together. This doesn't sound like a big deal but think about everything that happens after this pilot. Without interacting often Logan and Jasmine getting together wouldn't have made sense and unlike the original series there are no hints that Garrett and Lindy like each other let alone even know each other well. This is the worst part of this pilot because without the clear bond between the friend group as a whole this show doesn't work because this is supposed to be like a kids version of Friends (Lindy is Monica, Logan is a mix of Ross and Joey, Jasmine is Rachel, Garrett is Chandler and Delia is Phoebe. Also Logan and Jasmines will they or won't they is kind of like Ross and Rachel's relationship. Also the way Garrett and Lindy are always hinted to like one another secretly is kind of like Chandler and Monica in that the pairing definitely wasn't planned from the beginning). Overall I'm not a fan of this unaired version I'm fine with people enjoying it because there are fun scenes like Delia's scenes and the parents lines but for me I'm glad this didn't air and we got the aired version with more chemistry between the friends and less disturbing jokes.
Id compare their friend group being similar to 6teen Lindy being Jen Logan being Jonesey Garrett being Wyatt Jasmin being Catlin And Delia being a mix of niki and Jude

bruh i swear the original pilot was the one in the commercials. does anyone else remember? it totally looked like she was dead and everyone thought she was dead. and then it comes on and it left me feeling bamboozled that she was alive and they knew for most of the episode and i never understood why.
To be honest I like the series, and I love the original five that ended up in the series. I don't know, it would have been interesting to see the other guy, but I find it... strange... It's funnier with that episode where the 5 add a new guy. In the end they realize that it was a terrible choice. I mean...Vic doesn't seem like it would have been a BIG change to the series. In fact, the entire cast by itself is already quite charismatic with good chemistry even without him. Whatever, watching the pilots of the series is always something strange.❤😅
I think i get why they changed the pilot aside from homaging don’t tell mo, the babysitter’s dead bing too dark, focusing on the sibling twin dynamic would’ve made it too similar to Liv and Maddie which was airing at the time. Ironically that show started off without twins then was changed, so refocusing this show on the ensemble with a cast of really talented actors gave it a unique identity. However, ultimately the show we ended up getting felt like it lacked direction. “A show about a bunch of teen friends who sometimes get into trouble”, “well isn’t that every Disney channel show?”. In an alternate universe we would’ve gotten bits and pieces the family sitcom and I didn’t do it being the twins show.
