I’m an old woman in the US who loves watching your videos. I think I was supposed to be a farmer. I find the operation of your dairy farm absolutely fascinating. Your personality and intelligence helps too. Thank you
Tom, you are a “Jack of all trades!”. You can do anything on the farm!!! What amazes me is the cows just watch you, and go on about their business! Lol. I like the way your first concern is always the cows!!!
Farmers have to be self-sufficient or they spend all their profit paying other people for what they could do themselves. Almost anything you have an average mechanic fix on a car or truck it would cost 2-3 times than if you buy the parts and do it yourself and in most cases you would get the same parts. Most auto repair shops gets their parts from the same places as the public then mark the prices up and then tack on the labor cost plus taxes. Always make sure you don't get taxed for labor fees, this is illegal in the United States.
I was so relieved when you finally got out of the Kenan!!! Love to see you and your happy cows. And as Eliasson said, let's help Tom get that workshop!!!
Hi Tom, You should take picture in the feeding area with the cows chewing those beets and photoshoppe in some bubblegum bubbles on the ones with their heads up.🤣😂🤣😂👍
Lovely to give those girls a treat, when they work so hard to make milk. you can see on their faces it's a delight to find a piece to munch on. Cows are so lovely we all love them in our house. Well done Tom.
Tom grabs some tarps to put down on the ground of the feed ally for when it has to become a workshop - then it is easy to find any metal and less likely to go into the cows food
The other day is told a guy at work that danger never takes a day off! He looked at me a laughed. An hr later he said it too someone else! And I laughed! Thanks for taking us along
Thanks Tom fore this video help me relax a while before i am back to my cows and keeping watch over a coupel cows that Will calv to night. Have a fantastik weekend Tom and Great work.
Nobody can ever say you don't love your cows and your farm. Your love for your farm is or inspiring and if I won the lottery trust me I would give you a million pounds without question 🐄🐮🐄
The life of a farmer! The half off sock would've driven me absolutely insane as would being half soaked ha. Congrats on both the weight loss, and the sponsorship too!
The cows were definitely happy that Luke and Tom put in the work that benefited them! The fodder beets were chopped up nicely and the cows were happily chewing bits that they could enjoy rather than whole beets!
Another great video Tom as always. I remember my brother bringing 2 of those beets home and saying to my mum. Look mam I have got you lovely swede’s for dinner.Mam laughed and said Thank You son.She knew exactly what they were.TakeCare and KeepSafe.🏴
Congratulations on the weight loss Tom. Your even taking care of the cows teeth and gums. You really love your ladies. Hope their milk production increases!! Another great video Tom. You thought about crowdfunding so you can get your workshop
I have a magnet-sweeper - it's a long magnet on wheels and a pole - because I was always worried about dogs in my sewing room (pins, etc.) works great! But it's meant for nuts/bolts/garage sweeping up bits of metal, etc.
7.9 sorry Tom, you bent your knees when landing out of the Keenan, you need a bit more practice mate, hehe, by the way the girls looked so happy, they loved watching what you, Luke and Sam were doing, that was so good watching them look for the fodder beets, they were so so happy, nice job all, it’s always nice to see how well you look after your girls, those replacement knives looked like a whole different part, they were so different, thx for taking the time to film and show, keep smiling, stay safe and try and keep your backside dry, 😜😂
Great videos Tom, try putting four days worth of beet in her and chop them, throw three quarters of it out and make your mix up as usual your wagon will chop it quicker
Tom the girls all looked really happy and content munching their new feed mix including the fodder beet well done good job! 🐄 Did you get anywhere with considering moving to an automated milking parlour? We’ve not heard about it but saying that it’s a huge change to consider. Whatever happens you will always put the girls first so good luck.
Thanks Tom for your great vids . Keeps me going threw the week . I used to drive a livestock trailer and work with animals . But now sadly I drive for a building supplies place but watching u brings back great memories with the livestock . And your dad knows so much what a ledge . Keep on farming
Good work sir. Along with telling those around you that you're working on the Keenan, you could take off the prop shaft. and lock it in a shed. We call it lock out/tag out when working in the offshore industry.
Its always good to get a job done, mine for the past 6 years has been to reduced the scrap metal and wood etc that the other had accumulated while I was working off the farm.
Interesting video Tom. Please the next time you have to get in the chopper, please disconnect from the tractor that way no one can start it up with you in it. Health and Safety would have a field day on you. Great to see happy cows munching on their food.
Tom, I work in an industrial district and all the big trucks have a strong magnet bar that hangs from the front bumper to catch any nails that may cause flat tires. I wonder if hanging a magnet from your tractors would catch the occasional item that might be around your place. Would catch metal from getting in your feed, catch it from getting in your tires, and catch it in the field before the grass chopper finds it? maybe just a magnet bar on the front of your feed pusher would work to keep it out of the feed?
I know that he works extremely hard, with the UA-cam channel on top of his farm work, but I would like to be able to give it a go. He's a proper legend and inspiration, even for ol'farts like me
It would seem to me that loading the beet into the Keenan first is likely to lead to quicker turn around for a load as they are in closer and more frequent contact with the arms and knives.
Great video Tom great work from Luke Sam and you Tom and for kramp with there tools nuts and bolts and loving seeing the cows chewing on the beets happy cows happy farmer
I recommend you get a set of nut splitters, less angle grinder and hacksaw work and works well most of the time. They also take a lot less space to work compared to aforementioned tools.
Looked like a job well done, always enjoy your videos. I don't live on a farm but, I always wanted to. I learn a alot watching you and your dad. Thanks for sharing.
Good job Tom. Hands on as usual. I see the pusher upper is still working. You inspired several UA-camrs to do something similar. I guess that’s kind of makes you a pioneer🤔
Hi Tom! I believe you can get a magnet for below your gates on the mixerwagon, so that it picks almost all iron out of the feed when unloading. I know there are for other brands, not shure for Keenan. Might be worth looking in to!
Good man Tom and Luke, Good job done ✔ 👏, We are the same, hate the thought of doing it, but then delighted when it's done ✔. The cow has to be number one 😀. Regardless of what Panorama says. Good Irish made feeder. Ha ha.
Brilliant video Tom. You and luke work well together when are you doing the video on him. Cows are very happy looking in their new shed. I remember a cow chocking on fodder beat because it was not chopped 400 pounds is nothing if it stops that from happening thanks Tom
Question: Do you use magnet bars on your rolling stock to pick up metal? We use them in the aviation industry almost fanatically. Having a magnet bar on every bit of rolling stock helps keep the jets, helos and eyeballs happy and healthy.
If you don't have any? Maybe think about getting one or two for the most used tractors. Having seen what the GP Hoof Doctor had pulled out of a few hooves? Might keep a cow from going lame.
Years ago worked at a large slaughter house. Had to remove magnets that were in cow bellies from cast iron drain pipe. Farmer inserted magnet inside of each cow. Heard it helped protect unborn calves inside pregnant cows.
This should make a big difference in fodder intake from your cows Tom! We always change our knives every year, cuts silage up better and mixes better. If u can u should demo a vertical mixer wagon, preferably a peecon biga. I have demoed them all and the biga by far mixes the best with the least power demand from the tractor. Thanks for the video
Another welcome cow comfort enhancement which must make your herd one of the most spoilt in Lancashire. This where livestock farming needs to be moving forward. The five freedoms of animal welfare, well covered.
I’m an old woman in the US who loves watching your videos. I think I was supposed to be a farmer. I find the operation of your dairy farm absolutely fascinating. Your personality and intelligence helps too. Thank you
So happy you enjoy them 😊 Thankyou for watching 😊

Those are HAPPY cows! I grew up around cows, and it's easy to see a happy cow or a sad cow. Thems cows is happy!
I was so relieved when you finally got out of the Kenan!!! Love to see you and your happy cows. And as Eliasson said, let's help Tom get that workshop!!!
Where I live, 'elf 'n safety would want you to disconnect the battery and put a padlock through the battery clamp. Lock out, tag out and all that.
Hi Tom,
You should take picture in the feeding area with the cows chewing those beets and photoshoppe in some bubblegum bubbles on the ones with their heads up.🤣😂🤣😂👍
😂😂😂
Lovely to give those girls a treat, when they work so hard to make milk. you can see on their faces it's a delight to find a piece to munch on. Cows are so lovely we all love them in our house. Well done Tom.
From 69 yr old Texas farm gal. You are so fun to watch...I watch all your videos...
Thanks 😊
Tom grabs some tarps to put down on the ground of the feed ally for when it has to become a workshop - then it is easy to find any metal and less likely to go into the cows food
Great idea!!!
A very good Saturday morning to you all from Wellington Somerset
Invest in a tube of Copaslip or equivalent. A TINY smear on any bolt that will need to be dis-assenbled will make life SO much easier.
❤️ LOVE WATCHING YOU ❤️
God bless you and your family!
My how cattle farming has changed since I was a kid on my grandfather’s farm in Cape Breton Nova Scotia!
Great job Tom and Luke, it's now functional. I wonder if you have a powerful magnet to check for any metal on the floor.
Yes I enjoyed this, especially seeing the cows enjoying their food!
I don't no who is more happy, your cows or you. I love it all thanks Tom
We love Tom's happy cows enjoying a treat. Life is good.
The other day is told a guy at work that danger never takes a day off! He looked at me a laughed. An hr later he said it too someone else! And I laughed! Thanks for taking us along
Happy Tom, happy cows 🐮, happy life!
It’s clear you enjoy your work, you’re so enthusiastic about everything you do, lovely to see x
Lol! The blissful look on the cow (at the end) chomping on that chunk of sweet potato! Love it! 😁
Thanks Tom fore this video help me relax a while before i am back to my cows and keeping watch over a coupel cows that Will calv to night. Have a fantastik weekend Tom and Great work.

I'm no expert but I've seen several dairy videos. You do seem to have VERY happy cows and I love what YOU'VE done for them!!
The cows were definitely happy that Luke and Tom put in the work that benefited them! The fodder beets were chopped up nicely and the cows were happily chewing bits that they could enjoy rather than whole beets!

I have thought about it.. a few ideas but people watching the videos me is just amazing!
Great video, Tom! You do anything to improve how happy your girls are. Well done fella.
Feels so good to get those jobs off the “to do list”. The cows will be happier with the feed being mixed better.
👍👍😁❤️
Thanks Tom for the upload. Take care😀💪👍
Very satisfying maintenance video. Good job Tom
You know Tom not only are you a great cow guy your taste in music is on point 😁. Nicely done
I have a magnet-sweeper - it's a long magnet on wheels and a pole - because I was always worried about dogs in my sewing room (pins, etc.) works great! But it's meant for nuts/bolts/garage sweeping up bits of metal, etc.

I only watch UA-cam but it looks like you made the ladies very happy!
Try my best! 😊
Fascinating vid, Tom.. those girls are happy all right.. 🐄🐄 But omg, that SOCK was a nightmare! 😁
Great video as usual Tom, the added bonus of cutting the beet into smaller chunks, it will last longer
I love your tenacity Tom!! You never let anything stand in your way!! The girls are lucky to have you!!!
As always Tom, great job! That shed is a great workshop for now.
Hi Tom, always lovely to see a happy herd.. Nice to see farms have more than one job title.. but it did look a bit precarious in some places..
Wouldn't be a Friday without a Tom smile ❤
Them bovine be beaming!! Even an old sailor like me can see they like the beets!
Cows always look sad but that made them smile from ear to ear Tom 👍🍻
Cows look sad? I’ll do a video next week that will show you something different 😊
Luke's doing a great job on the farm 👍👍👍 Jobs well done lads 👍👍👍🌞🌞🌞🌿🌿🍃💚💚🍃🌿🌿
Those faces! Those are so happy cows 🍀

Happiest day on this farm was seeing the Keenan leave, after owning three we’d had enough, tub mixers ever since, far more versatile.
Good work sir. Along with telling those around you that you're working on the Keenan, you could take off the prop shaft. and lock it in a shed. We call it lock out/tag out when working in the offshore industry.
Aha! Kramp is a perfect resource for writers! :D Thanks!

Tom, tuck your trousers into your socks, game changer!

😊
I own a Keenan 340 for 10 years now, and the rubbbers on the beaters are as important as the new blades. Yours seems in good condition tough
Great maintenance video!!! The cows say Thanks!!!🐄🐄🐄Best wishes from Kentucky!!!
New beds, nicely chopped fodder beet and silage...cow heaven.
I enjoy how much I learn when I watch farming videos. Your videos are a joy to watch.
Glad you like the blades pretty kool to watch the process of swapping the old with the new
It would seem to me that loading the beet into the Keenan first is likely to lead to quicker turn around for a load as they are in closer and more frequent contact with the arms and knives.
Great video Tom great work from Luke Sam and you Tom and for kramp with there tools nuts and bolts and loving seeing the cows chewing on the beets happy cows happy farmer
As any farmer I know.. you know enough to get the job done!
I recommend you get a set of nut splitters, less angle grinder and hacksaw work and works well most of the time. They also take a lot less space to work compared to aforementioned tools.

Your cows really do look happy 👍🏻
Happy cows, happy farmer Tom…happy subscribers thanks Tom
I would love to live in the middle of the country im so envious of you, one dày hopefully, great video..x
So much anxiety the entire time you were inside the Keenan. Happy to see that the new blades work so that the cows can get their sweets.
Hi Tom! I believe you can get a magnet for below your gates on the mixerwagon, so that it picks almost all iron out of the feed when unloading. I know there are for other brands, not shure for Keenan. Might be worth looking in to!

Got the notification whilst out out last night, this video has been on my mind all night, finally get to watch it,🙌
🙌🙌🙌
Turn the rubber padles in the mixer, and you will see a big difference. 😀
Can get magnetic sweepers to pick up all metal shavings from when you’re doing projects to give you piece of mind
Brilliant video Tom. You and luke work well together when are you doing the video on him. Cows are very happy looking in their new shed. I remember a cow chocking on fodder beat because it was not chopped 400 pounds is nothing if it stops that from happening thanks Tom
Love your youtube channel Tom and I big fan of you
Another busy day there Tom. All the best!
Loved the video. Relieved when you climbed out of the Kenan. Looks like the new blades did a good job. Love the cow's.
👍🥰💪
Only after finishing watching the fast and the farmerish the final was unbelievable fair play yous all did a brilliant job on it
Thanks James 😊
Kramp also sells ear protection.....
Those kind of socks are what we call "Quitters"!

We don’t tbh. The vet said we would be better with magnets 😊
Excellent idea - makes sense!

Great job Tom and Luke well done. Can't beat working for the 🐄🐮🐄🐮💞🤗🍀
This should make a big difference in fodder intake from your cows

You can still buy pits dig a hole drop it in level it then add concrete around it job done and water tight
Excited about your plans for a workshop. Make it twice as big as you need now as you will need it in the future believe me.
Just seen you on BBC news Tom! Great to see you on the scene with Boots and Heels! Love it
Another welcome cow comfort enhancement which must make your herd one of the most spoilt in Lancashire. This where livestock farming needs to be moving forward. The five freedoms of animal welfare, well covered.
You videos are interesting. Thank you for sharing.🐄🐂🐄🐂
As always Tom, fantastic work!
It would be great to see ur new morning routine with the new shed. Great video as always Tom
Good job and thanks for posting what equipment you use to film...lot of gear😳
I could do a video ?
So! we have a knife and fork to cut up our tatties and cows have a knife and Keenan to cut up theirs (beets). 😂🐮👍
Great video Tom 👍🏻, would you be interested in doing a in depth video about the diets and what you feed them and kgs per head ?
Many thanks will
Get a magnet in your mixer wagon!!!! it's amazing and you'll be shocked at what it takes of metal!!!
You should buy a Tanco beet chopper, will chop it in to nice small pieces, easy for the cow to eat.. 👍
