Bought this on realise... Lost it, shamefully forgot the band's name in the years that followed. Spent endless hours trying to recall who produced that amazing album from my youth. Finally found it. OMG it's even better than I remember! Amazing record!
"10 years ahead of it's time", yeah if you live under a rock. By 1998 there was a tone of metal bands tryin' so hard to sound hip. massive, modern (most of times forced by their labels), I guess they were just another one in that big nu-ocean. They were pushed hard by Earache, but it didn't flourished.
Remember listening to this for the first time in a Metal Hammer compilation, those Killing Cuts series at the end of the 90's. got totally blown at first listen, they kinda sound like early Machine Head but less technical, great album though
Great track from a totally underrated band. What became of them and the members? I'd say they're the british, angrier equvialent of Rage Against The Machine. Fucking outstanding music...
They ended up wrecked by all the legal wranglings with Earache, which is a shame 'cause they were excellent. I'd say that One Minute Silence were probably closer to RATM than Pulkas; they seemed more aligned with bands like Deftones and Tool, i.e. darker and less political but with more of a melodic groove. There were some excellent bands around that time that never got the recognition they deserved.
@@Knochenbrigade What happened then, because I heard from the rest of the band on their Facebook page that the singer just did a runner and has not been seen or heard from for 10 years?
@@cru5tyjuggl3rs Cheers for this, the band told me on Facebook the singer did a runner and has not been seen in over 10 years, and that 2 members of the band have formed another band (can't remember the name) and that I should like the page on Facebook, I did but can't follow a band if I've forgotten the name, maybe it says the name on the Pulkas Facebook page still, just wonder why the band had lied to me saying everything was good then the singer did a runner and no one has seen him in over 10 years? why lie I don't get it..
Never understood why this band never had more sucess, still one of my all time favorite albums, just perfect.

That was with the deftones back in the 90s right? I read about that show in metal hammer. I loved this band and one minute silence.
Pulkas bro!! High school music!! Old good times!!
Greed was an amazing album. I always wondered why these guys called it quits

A fantastic band with a fantastic album greed they need to reform NOW
love this song, shame someone nicked the cd off me! ( never lend your stuff ).
Still here
Fuck me this is just like fever333!!
Solid debut, shame they split up, would have loved to see where they went. I liken Greed to Tool’s Undertow, what could have been eh
это охуенно, друзья!
Sounds like deftones by the way
Why did these split ?
Label issues.

Borrows so much from early Machine Head. Unique enough to be interesting though.
just comment on this and I had the same feeling about it! xD
They could have been big. =(
Amazing album still after all these years.
@@LoomisPCearache had loads of great bands that got nowhere...
