This was an excellent video. Your attention to detail and showing the whole process involved was very inspiring.
I’m in the midst of setting up a mobile welding trailer.
Your video gave me some insight of what and what not to do. Also…I’m a new subscriber. Weld on Brother.
Make a gantry ! Put huge casters on it! I got a three piece allthough i dont have casters on mine it would be nice! I put it up when i need it. Take it down when not in use throw a sling around it and chain fall. I like the unidilla shirts what a testiment to a bunch of good races!
On the list of things to build
Your doing a great job!!!
Thank you!
I like how you said how you charge, not necessarily how much. It really depends on where you're at, and what you're doing. Good video
that was the goal, some people didn't get that I was only explaining how I charge and not how much I was charging lol
Can u tell us what rods your using and why
Catching up on the videos back again !!! Keep up the content man 👍🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What's Good Bro!!! Glad to see you 💵🤙🏿👨🏾🏭
Great video
Thanks!
The hercules brand from HF is a good bang for the buck im on my 3rd tool now with zero disappointment
might be an option
I totally agree with “JWC”. I’ve been buying quite a bit of Hercules brand and shockingly impressed.
Love you brother! Great video!
Much appreciated
Absafragginlutely yes on the bluestar refurb!!!!!!!
sounds good
I will watch you restore the Blue Star. 🙂
probably will happen then
Really enjoy your videos man! I like how in depth you are and also the fact that you're so honest, I've seen in previous videos where you are sure to show your mistakes/mishaps. Not everyone is willing to do that. Definitely do the Blue Star videos!
thanks I appreciate that!
I really like that metal saw you got there
its a beast
Great video, always good to see things that are informative and helpful.
That came out good 👍
You can get an adapter to use your Milwaukee batteries on Dewalt drills. That way you don’t have to buy extra batteries. Just a thought
just started looking into that
Another good job on the books! 🤙🏼
thanks MR CHAD
Nice repair bud
Btw the M12 drill does not have a clutch its electronically controlled that's why it feels so strange.
that explains it then
just found your channel, awesome content! You could always buy a Makita drill and buy the battery adapter to run Milwaukee batteries. I have an adapter for a Makita drill I got for free to run Milwaukee batteries along with a porta cable adapter to run Milwaukee batteries.
Good to know. 👍
That evolution chop saw looks like the bees knees!! been scared of them because of the price but that would save me so much time over the grinder and cut off wheel or torch cut looks like it’s time to
Get one
yes I was the same way, but once I got one I don't know I never had one
Definitely invest in a nice chop saw, get one so you can do mitre cuts, will save you a lot of time if you have to build guardrails and handrails. Saves you time on lay out. Even better is a mitering horizontal bandsaw, set the speed of the blade dropping and let it cut on its own, then walk away and prep other material, like I can let the bandsaw do the 45° cuts for the top rail and mid rail, while I quickly cut the kick plate, or cut my posts and quickly put a saddle in them with a hole saw on a drill press. Can have a handrail all tacked up and ready to weld in no time. Cutting with angle grinders, wrapping and cutting your pipe laying out the 45°s and laying out your saddles adds so much time to your project.
Mikita drills are great. Another Milwaukee tool thats incredibly under par compared is their grinders. Luckily most power stations in my area now provide us with metabo and Dewalt but every now and then there’s a mine with Milwaukee grinders we have to struggle with.
They really failed on the grinder. very disappointed. Also had an impact that would stop running once in a while. I went with Makita and Metabo . They seem to work great so far.
Olá amigo muito bom trabalho!!!
Boa sorte sempre!!!
I bought a blue star for $300 from some guy in the desert here in Cali. It's missing a fuel tank, air filter box, and the ignition switch. The parts are quite cheap, except the fuel tank lol. I've been wanting to give the engine a tune up and attach a small tank. I think it's all fine, but if anything, I think I could put a honda gx390 on it, if for any reason the Kohler is toast. It has a 2019 sticker on it so I think it should be fine welder wise. Also a junk removal customer donated a Lincoln weldanpower 225. Single owner, well kept in a garage. The guy was a retired ironworker. I love the machine but dang it's loud😂
yea fix it up that would be a good machine
Thanks for sharing your pricing structure. The Blue Star refurbish video would be good. Do you ever use flux core wire? Seems you could save the cost of gases, and have just as good or better welds. With anti-spatter spray and a wire wheel the welds can look just as good.
I do sometimes, just rather use mig honestly. when charge these jobs all my consumables are included in my hourly rate so gas figured in the price
I predict the restoration of the Blue Star will be widely watched. Jus’ sayin
I hope so cause it's coming !
There’s an adapter you can buy to go Milwaukee battery to dewalt tools
I've started looking into adapters actually
@@mcfwelding I’ve personally never used any adapters so I don’t know how well they work and last but definitely worth a shot if it’ll save ya some money and hassle. Keep up the good work man👍🏼 I look forward to see all of your videos!
a battery adapter keep your milwaukee battery's and use dewalt drill
Get adapters for your drills,,,amazon
I’ve looked at a few jobs, gave an estimate. People say “well I only want to spend xxx amount of dollars”. I simply tell them when I get to that point I’ll pack my shit up and go home lol. The reactions are comical sometimes.
thats pretty great, i need to try that lol can only imagine the reactions you get
Still watching, maybe I missed it
What happened with your mag drill?
wire broke in the magnet part
That sucks. Will they warranty it?@@mcfwelding
machine is like 20 years old and i bought it second hand so i doubt it
Make a video on the older welder and awesome videos
yea I think I will now
Love your videos man I’m hoping to get a truck and a welder and start a little side hustle I have 2 jobs right now trying to save everything I can to have what I need to get started
keep at it!
with tools. I find the pawnshop to work out pretty well. If the thing isnt clapped and they offer a warranty time (7 days). I think they work out enough to be worth while.
You probably don't know this but they make battery adapters now for almost every brand and battery you can think of. Switching platforms doesn't mean you need to invest in all new batteries.
I have recently found this out and will give it a try
Got them cold snacks to wet the old back neck ready to go!!! 😁🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey , what do you do for work / main job? I know you mentioned you still work a while ago in a video and weld on the side
I'm a steamfitter
How do you decide between stick and mig? Also do you usually run mig or flux-core?
I usually run mig not flux core. Depends what I feel like doing that day
Fix up the old miller!
That's the plan
You deal with any porosity using the mig out side like that?
not often no.
What’s your hourly? That’s what I stayed for in trying to to get into this
well what do you want to make an hour and where you from
Learn how to operate the drill. There are more than one settings on it. The clutch settings are bypassed on drill. On screw/driver setting the clutch works. Don't screw with the springs... they will bite you! They sell 'kits' to repair the hinge.
I looked for the repair kits, couldn't find anything. where were you seeing them?
Milwaukee is owned by Ryobi.
Fix and use then flip please.
probably that's what will happen
If you know all the facts chrg by job they come in blind T/M
yup.
I'm kinda stuck on the Ridgid brand, they've never let me down. And that Evolution cuts like buttah
that saw is great
Funny the shit guys destroy
33 minute video to say he charges by the hour
damn you're smart
Bro why do you have an m12 Milwaukee drill… that’s the friggin lesbian version lol
In have 2 of the Milwaukee brushless fuel whatever m18 drills their cool but my all time favorite is my older dewalt 20v xr hammer drill I plug one of the big ass flex volt batteries on and it’s a force to be reckoned with 😂
Works for most holes that need to be drilled
Refurbish the welder for sure. May be a good giveaway item for your 10k subscriber event too. I know I’d love to win something like that.
that did cross my mind......
