    $200 seems like a lot up front, but when you calculate what it costs at a laundromat, it pays for itself in no time.
    You can save water by using the rinse water for the next load's wash. And letting a dirty load soak really helps get it clean.
    Great looking family. I'm sure they provide lots of dirty laundry for you. :)

    Try using a very small amount of Castile soap. You may not have to rinse your clothes. Very little suds initially. And then none.

    Love the new glasses girl !!!! Great idea re the towels. I have Norwex towels that we use when going away, as they are thinner and dry AMAZINGLY. You have to learn to dry yourself kinda differently as it's more of a pat dry style, then a rub dry... but it's worth it for how quickly they dry. Re washing, I used to just do a small load each day or 2nd day when camping. xx

    We have one similar, we are able to connect the plastic hose that came with the washer up to where your shower hose connects to the faucet. Then that plastic hose can go on the port on the spinner and rinse the clothes as you spin them. We also bought a very small drier that doesn’t need to vent and the combo is a game changer.

    That is exactly what we used to use in Indonesia, except they were a little larger. It's actually a washer and spinner (not a dryer). A glorified wringer washer (if you remember stories from your mom or grandma from back in the day of wringer washers that you had to hand crank the rollers to squeeze the water out of the clothes.) I used rain water that was carefully rationed. Would fill the wash tub 3/4 full, then transfer the clothes from the wash water (squeezing out a little as I transferred things) to the spinner. (btw the little plastic lid thingee is to keep the clothes from flying out of the spinner). You cando all your clothes in that one tub of water, starting with the whites, and progressing to the darkest load. I rinsed the clothes in a bucket of water after spinning them, then put them in the spinner again. Yes, a lot of work. (That's why I paid someone to do it for me!) I don't know if Indonesians did the rinse step. When we used the spinner, we collected the water that was spun out of them and put it back into the wash tub. Had water-rationing down to a science! If we ran out of rainwater we had to haul water from the river!

      That’s incredible. So resourceful and not wasteful at all 🙌 I love our little washer for sure! So good to finally meet you guys and I could listen to your stories for ever! 🧡

    We live fulltime in ours and have the same washer/spinner. I use more water so the machine moves better. I put a knee high on the end of the drain hose, and use a rubber band to hold it on, to catch more lint that I don't want down the drain. It's been a game changer.

    Thanks for sharing this.
    I’m not sure if it would work for us but definitely something to think about....there’s times I just dread going to the laundromat and with 5 of us I have to go every week. 😕

    Love the new glasses girl. Just like mine! I don't know about the Washer. If you have to fill it everytime....then dry it....then hang it? Seems like a lot. But for kids it must be good to wash a little everyday.

    do you have any suggestions for laundry detergents that are safe for gray water tanks?

    • @FaithBoundFamilyAdventures
      @FaithBoundFamilyAdventures  Рік тому +1

      We used regular free and clear detergent by ECOS and have been okay! As long as it’s liquid and not powder you will be okay.

    Ohhhh this makes me excited. But honest opinion, if you could do the real washer/dryer hookup would you prefer that over this?

    • @FaithBoundFamilyAdventures
      @FaithBoundFamilyAdventures  2 роки тому +1

      We don’t have that option in the RV. If you guys have a hookup already I would just use those for sure!

    Very cool video. We're getting the same 5th wheel coachmen chaparral 373MBRB 2021. Are is coming with a stackable washer and dryer. Is there any cons in this 5th that a newbie should know like us?

    • @FaithBoundFamilyAdventures
      @FaithBoundFamilyAdventures  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Oh my gosh congrats, that is so exciting! The stackable washer is the best option for sure 🙌 Are you guys new to towing? Really the only thing is that it is so big, but it is light compared to a lot of other 5th wheels. Also, if you have the sliding doors, over time they do not do well lol.

    • @journeysbyfaith2473

      @@FaithBoundFamilyAdventures thanks. We prayed and God answered. Yes we're new to towing. It's a 2021 so it has 2 entry ways and slide outs, I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a

    How many adult size jeans would this wash and dry

    • @FaithBoundFamilyAdventures
      @FaithBoundFamilyAdventures  11 місяців тому

      Probably about 4-5. But with jeans you would definitely have to hang dry to get them completely dry.

    • @FaithBoundFamilyAdventures

      Yes but in my opinion still better than paying to go to the laundromat where people wash all their dog beds and cigarette filled clothes there. The convenience worked for us in this case. Thanks for watching!
