- Curious how to do laundry when camping? I'll go through the 5 different ways I have done laundry while living full time in an Airstream Basecamp X trailer. This will include the best RV laundry solutions, how to use a laundromat, my travel laundry bag, and how I store clothes.

When I was a kid in Scouts, a Scout Master brought a 5 gallon bucket, and a toilet plunger, and cut a hole in the center of the lid. So Kind of imagine a butter churn from the old days. Put some clothes soap and water in, and agitate... It worked. And of course a round of just water to rinse it. That was A Boy Scout Jamboree from1981 I think it was? But it still sticks in my head to this day.

My wife and I in May will be doing a 2 week rv trip in a 16rb airstream very limited in storage did not want the hassle of a laundromat for a few items such as a few pairs jeans and underwear etc. Will be using the 5 gallon method Chris thank you, and Cass thank you for the most useful videos .
Interesting! That's a really smart and cheap way to make a portable washer.
Hope you have a great trip in May!!
Awesome idea thanks for sharing
I know it is pretty off topic but do anyone know of a good place to watch new tv shows online?
Don't forget truck stops! Most of the larger chains (I prefer Loves) have several coin-op machines. They also have very clean private showers/bathrooms and only cost around $10. Refreshing to take a nice long hot one while on the road. They even provide towels. And if you go during the day there's usually no wait, since most trucks start rolling in around supper time. There's always plenty of people around so not really a safety concern, and plenty of room to park (just avoid parking in the truck spots). Great video!
Thank you Dr. Scott! I had no idea truck stops had laundry as well. I've only used a truck stop shower once and it was luxurious!!
Good to know... Thank you.
I love to see your dog and cat be so loving to each other.
You do such a good job of listings the pros and cons of whatever you are evaluating. Pleasant to listen to.
Thanks Cathi! Really appreciate the comment.
I enjoy doing my laundry at the laundromat. Its fun pulling in in my 1987 34ft class a. The looks on people faces is funny. I carry it in, I come back out, set an alarm, turn on a movie and fix lunch or dinner. When the alarm goes off I come back out, finish my movie while folding the laundry and putting it away. My grill is attached to drawer slides in a storage bay, I've even used that while at a small laundromat that had a large parking lot next door.
That's awesome. Love how you have turned laundry day into such a relaxing event.
I use a 5 gallon bucket and a plunger. Soaking really helps deep clean fibers, and very little soap is needed, so it's also easier to rinse the soap out.
That’s a great idea. Thanks for sharing Nancy!
@@TailsofWanderlust , I should have added that I don't put in 5 gallons of water! A couple of gallons or less will do, depending on the items you're watching and how dirty or smelly they are.
Ah, great to know!
Your channel is my got to lately! This is so awesome I totally wish I could live like this!
Thank you so much Johnny! So glad you’re enjoying the videos!
About every two weeks, I planned a weekday overnight in a nice campground with washers, dryers and swimming pool! Do laundry early morning (never afternoon or evening). Enjoy couple hours swimming. Never had a problem finding open machines. Also bought a folding cart to put laundry items walking from RV to laundry facility. I have a fur ball also. Before taking your duvet off your bed use one of those tape rollers over it to pull off cat/dog hair. Helps a ton.
Great tips, thank you for sharing! Love that you turn laundry day into pool day!
Most big truck stops have washing machine rooms. You can do all your laundry fast and its pretty cheap and its safe
Great to know thanks Brandon! Hadn't tried that one before.
@@TailsofWanderlust yup. Bigger the truck stop, bigger the laundry room. And it’s always like a dollar or two. Wasn’t much. Most of them take credit cards
With them taking credit cards that is a really good option. And sounds cheaper than a laundromat.
Use dawn in a salad spinner. Dawn only needs a tiny bit to clean and the salad spinner is amazing at getting clothes clean and mostly dry to hang up or put in a dryer
Great tip, thanks for sharing!
Just reading John Steinbeck "Travels with Charley" he put his wash in a bucket suspended in the camper with a lid as he drove it bounced around.
Haven't read that book yet. I need to go find that one and read it. Thanks!
We love our hand washer (we have named it R2D2). This is especially useful when dry camping at National Forest /Park CGs we often frequent. We simply keep a several 1 gallon water jugs ready and heat some water for the load. We do not keep it in our trailer, rather device takes up little room in the back of our pick up truck (we have a shell).
We otherwise use friends and RV Parks, (rarely do we go to laundry mats as we have found they often take 1/2 day from our camping adventure
@@wardcummins8736 Actually ours uses only a 4-6 gallons per wash which unless there are no water spigots is never an issue and even then we travel to such spots with extra water (including the 60 gallons our RV holds). As for space, it takes up about 2 square feet in the back of our PU truck. Definitely one of the best RV investments we made & probably the best when cost is factored in
@@carlstrohmeyer Not trying to be mean, rude or ugly, but I have "laundromat phobia". I've had to use a laundromat 1-2x's over the years. I skeezed out then & that was before COVID! Back in the days when Lysol & Clorox spray was easily available & I could thoroughly clean everything I had to use before putting my clothes in/on them. There were times I was shocked & repulsed at the dirt I wiped out of the machines & off those folding tables.😖😲😱
There's ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I'm doing my laundry (ESPECIALLY my "intimates") in a public washer that a BILLION strangers (w/pets) have washed their "intimates" (at "that time of the month", or items their pets have pooped/puked on), as well as covered in fur! OMG... I'd probably NEVER stop breaking out & itching😵🤯
I'm not a big eater & everyone has their priorities, so if the choice is fridge or washer...it's ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY going to be the washer.
@@itsallaboutjesus8935 This another good reason for a personal washer like we use when you travel. The biggest negative is hanging the clothes, although in the summer they dry within a couple hours in the low humidity of the Western USA we generally camp in
Good to hear that you enjoy your hand washer Carl. Some people seem to absolutely love them!
Thank you! You're hitting all of these topics that are right in the front of my mind as I prep to go full time. 😬
You're welcome! Glad the timing is working out well on these!
I love how thorough you are with all of your videos. I always learn something to incorporate into my life, even though I'm not a van or RV lifer. It's a dream of mine though. And I enjoy wearing dark colors as well, but I always have that odd load that just doesn't get done very often, because I only have a few light colored items. SO...from now own, I will stick with dark colors only! Thank you so much. I always watch your videos to the end. I can't say that about most of my other subscriptions! xo 🐕🌺🌞😺
Thank you Kimberley!! I really appreciate that and love hearing that you are enjoying the videos!
Haha that reminded me of college too. I’m going to have my 15 yr old son watch this because he is now doing all his laundry ☺️ Safe travels
Thanks Patti!
Thank you for all of the great advice! I will miss my washer and dryer...so convenient to go to my laundry room and do a load any time of the day. I'll work out a schedule on the road. The clothes advice was an easy one as pretty much all of my clothes are blacks, navy blue or charcoal. I finally spent some time rolling all of my change after six years of tossing it in different jars (finally one smart thing I've done!) separating the quarters, dimes and nickels. Plus I had one of the U.S. maps where you match the state with the appropriate quarter...only $12.50 but it's laundry money in an emergency. The pennies will get tossed into a coin counting machine, some fifty pounds of them! I'm looking forward to the nomadic lifestyle in my van but I'm sure it will be an interesting transformation. This sort of reminds me that I'll be reverting back to my college and young military days.
Fifty pounds of pennies! That's intense on how much change can add up over time.
I have one more for you. In the past we've stopped at motels and asked to use their washer/dryers. We haven't been told no yet because they've been coin op.
Oh interesting. Thank you for sharing, I hadn't heard of that option before!
Check out the Scrubba Portable Wash Bag. We keep it in our camper for my husband's bike clothes. It's also perfect for small items like socks and etc. I just use camp soap. There are a lot of review videos about it, but my favorite is by The Fit RV.
I second this recommendation! I bought one of these for an around-the-world trip a couple of years ago, uses very little water and can do anywhere. Worked especially well with high-tech quick dry fabrics. I used some camping laundry tabs, small and eco-friendly.
Awesome, thank you for sharing Anita! I'll check it out, I haven't heard of it before.
What a cool idea! (Scrubba Portable Wash Bag) Thank you so very much!
Love the idea of using it on an international trip to! Thanks Laura!
I was hoping to hear the trash bag laundry system lol. My first deployment to the sand box in August of 2000 we hung a trash bag on the side mirror and washed our clothes by agitating the bag itself lol. Luckily the military uniform holds up well so the items worn under it mainly needed washing. Drying was easy, it was over 120-130 most days.
That is such an ingenious way to wash clothes! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Cass! You’re the best for sharing all these tips!
Thanks Lisa!
I sewed laundry bags out of fabric that coordinated with the bedding so that the bag could be on the beds of my Class B during the day and not look out of place.
That is such a great idea!
last year when my washer broke, I was having a hard time finding quarters for laundry. then I started hitting up my local car wash change machines.
Smart!
I like your videos. You are a pleasant, thoughtful person and the videos are free from hype. Thank you.
Appreciate that, thank you!
Thanks for the great video! I never thought about going for a monochromatic wardrobe to make laundry easier! Brilliant!
You are welcome! It really does make it all so much easier!
Funny how we feel we know you...so you could have come to our home in Apache Junction & done your laundry! But we're strangers to you!
We are leaving on Friday to head back home to Colorado...enjoy watching you so much...
Miss our camping!
Ah you live in two beautiful areas - Apache Junction & CO! Have a safe trip back and enjoy the mountains!
This was the most useful video I have watched this year, thanks !
So glad to hear! Thanks for watching!

Thank you Neal, I really appreciate that!
Part of me can't believe I watched a video on laundry :) ... that is NOT critical, I enjoyed the video!! But, I am mainly commenting because when I think RV laundry, I am always reminded of the John Steinbeck book: Travels with Charley. (Not typical Steinbeck so don't be scared off if you disliked Grapes of Wrath!, 2nd I think you are working on your Masters and probably no time for casual reading, but maybe someday ... ) Charley is Steinbeck's dog. The Travels are Steinbeck's RV trip in 1965 in maybe the first RV/Truck Camper that he had made to his specifications. Re the laundry ... he writes about putting his laundry in a large bucket with soap and letting the road motion be his "agitator". Anyway, it is a fascinating travelogue from a different time by a great writer. AND, it is the source of the quote that starts: "I am in love with Montana... " I live in NW Montana (since 1994) although have RV'd across the country and back several times as well. Cheers!
Thank you for sharing that Liz! It sounds like a really interesting book and would love to hear of adventures from another time - see how things were done differently. I've added it to my list for when I have more time!
I love this detailed, practical advice.
Really glad you enjoyed it Dorit!
Launder mats sound like the best idea. Having someone do they laundry and deliver it sounds epic, though expensive. I've watched several YT videos about hand wash plunger for RV use. Flexibility seems vital. Thanks.
You are welcome! Agree I would love to have it done for me and delivered every time, but it's just too expensive.
I live in an apartment and, have to go to the laundromat to do my laundry. That'll probably be my first choice to do the laundry when I get on the road. You can always use a bucket to do some laundry if you're out of town. You do have to hang it up to dry though but, it's better than nothing. It's part of the experience of nomad life.
I wish portable washers and dryers existed when I lived in my three floor walk up apartment. The laundromat was down the street and around the corner so I had a hamper with wheels.
It sure is. Thanks for watching Cindy!
So funny, I was actually wondering about this the other day. I'm not planning to live full time in an RV, but I certainly might find the need to do laundry every now and then. Thanks for the great tips!
You are welcome, really glad it was helpful1
So true - on the road now and just had our first laundry day at the RV Park. Have you tried the Color Guard sheets? My wife swears by them. You're right it can get awful expensive and while we would rather use a laundromat, most of the time we use whatever is available at the RV park. Tried the drop and pick up once and gave clear instructions to use only cold water. Needless to say, that didn't work out :) . Living small takes practice but I get loads of satisfaction especially after a long trip and realize we used everything we packed. Travel safe
I haven't seen the Color Guard I'll have to look for those. Sorry to hear about the cold water! I'm always nervous on that too, but thankfully no issues with it yet.
Highly recommend packing cubes for storing your clothes. It’s like having stackable drawers!
(And you don’t mess up your piles pulling things out!) E-bags is a terrific source.
Thank you for the tip! I use those to store some of my towels and such, but haven't used them in the laundry area yet.
I know all about not drying especially by the shore. I had to use some towels to clean up water that leaked out from under the curtain after I showered. Hung them out and it took forever to dry so I could put them in the hamper.
Some climates really aren't the best for that at all. Thanks for watching Bert!
for boondock rvers and long term full time living rvers another asset many people dont think about is homeless service center across the country many offer laundry and shower options.
Hello new here! Love the channel. I have a male 7 yr old white German Shepard!
Hi! That's awesome, a white GSD sounds beautiful!!
I suppose it depends on your priorities. I make room for my washing tumbler. An Amazon purchase a little bigger than a basketball. It is a hand crank but holds quite a bit and doesn’t use THAT much water. I was so surprised what a good job it does. I feel like if you’re on the road f/t and mostly boondocking it’s a must have for the “garage”.
Great to hear they are so small. You're absolutely right on the priorities. I carry a large table and chair for my work space, so the extra room in my truck goes towards that.
Ahhhhhh yes I have the wonder washer with the crank and stand. I have plenty of room for that in my setup. Truck camper. Tight fit, yes, but i use the backseat of my truck for that, among other things. That's my garage. I do my laundry on moving day so the washer will agitate itself as I'm driving. I carry plenty of water (20+ gallons) to drink and wash clothes, in the backseat. Then whenever I gas up I fill every water jug. Hang to dry. I attached clothes lines on folding brackets on the side of the camper. When I get to my next destination. I have saved so much money. I do wash all the bedding at laundromats tho. Usually before I do a grocery run. Every 2 weeks or so. Easy peasy.
Great way to do it thanks for the insight!
What great tips! Always look forward and enjoy your videos. Hope Jasper is feeling better.
Thank you very much! Jasper is fine now. Not sure what was up with his stomach, but he seemed completely fine after.
Another great, and helpful, video. I've been thinking through the idea of selling the house and hitting the road. Thanks for sharing a part of your life.
Absolutely! I'll try to make more videos on the decision to go full-time as well, and also why I may become a part-timer here soon (Trying to find a cabin, but this housing market is insane!)
I really like the design of your RV.
Thanks! Appreciate you watching!
I'm sure that could start a fight especially during these tense days, taking out other people's laundry if they are not there, to use.Anyway great video, like, it's so good to know, like if you're on the road.Like, you're so nice Cass!
Thanks James! Appreciate you watching the video!
You may can get a portable washer and a dryer for RVs from Amazon. You may not have the space, but you could keep them in your SUV. The handcrank washing machine too if you can try and get it. You can get that from Amazon as well.
I don't have room in my setup to carry anything like that, so I stick with just the laundromats.
Awesome thanks for sharing
You're welcome, appreciate you checking the video out!
My new small RV pad has water, electric, ethernet and sewer... laundry room in back of house with door to outside. Don't have a trailer yet, lol, but all set up. If you're ever in the PNW be glad to exchange parking and laundry for a home/trailer cooked meal!
Sounds like a really nice RV pad that you have!
Thanks for great tips on laundry on the road. I will definitely be using them. I Hope Jasper feels better soon. Please give kisses to Jasper and Napoleon from us all here in the UK
Will do, thank you Adonia!
I’m fairly new to your channel and I love it. But maybe you have mentioned in previous videos why u decided to travel and live like this full time. You seem very content with this lifestyle. 😁🤗
Really glad you are enjoying the videos Wes and thank you so much for watching them!! Here's one on why I hit the road: ua-cam.com/video/8To3842tOdw/v-deo.html
I love your "Everything Matches" wardrobe mentality. Didn't Albert Einstein have a closet full of identical suits?
Oh interesting I'll have to look that up. I always think of the cartoon "Doug". He had all the same outfits hanging in his closet.
Well, he WAS a very smart man!😅
Haha!
You've got it covered! Impressive!
Thanks Glen!!
Love your intro!
Thanks Jack!
Very helpful information here! Thanks so much for sharing! Glad I discovered your cool channel! Following! 😊
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed the videos!
Great advise. Nice informative video. Thanks. We're using the Yirego Drumi portable non-electric, foot powered washing machine. It is water efficient, easy to carry, and easy to use. Takes up about 20x16x18"h in the back of our tow vehicle. Weighs about 20 lbs. and uses about 1-2 gal per wash and 1-2 gal per rinse depending on the load. It's been an excellent washing alternative during COVID times.
Thanks for sharing, that is really good to know! 2-4 gallons is not bad at all for the laundry.
Good practical info. Interesting, too.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks Ruth!
Great info
Thanks for watching!
Good idea to check reviews on laundromats.
Sometimes there are some odd reviews out there. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tips. So good to know!
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
Did Jasper have a hangover? He's such a party animal. 😂😂😂
Haha!!
Enjoy your videos Thanks for the tips I'm doing laundry on the road.
You're welcome Robert, really glad you are enjoying them!
Antimicrobial moisture wicking clothing cuts down laundry also febrez helps
Great tips, thanks!
Great overview!
Thank you!
Hi Cass. Love your channel! Not sure if you covered it in another video. How and where do you store and organize all your clothes?
Hi Bryan - I covered it a little bit in the laundry video, but I do need to make one on organization someday. ua-cam.com/video/0Ssa_eI3gWc/v-deo.html
Thank you for replying. Ok yes I saw it now. Not sure how I missed it before. Also, do you plan on adding anymore items on your Amazon link? I am going from a 40’ 5th wheel to a 20’ Basecamp and am trying to downsize. I noticed stuff like my kitchen strainer is way bigger than the one you have. You are so efficient at boondocking. In 6 months mine will be here and I hope to enjoy that kind of freedom. Keep up the good vibes and awesome videos!
Can you also do a video on your spinach smoothie
Useful video! Thanks.
You are welcome Debbie! Thanks for watching!
Spraying Fabreze (or similar product) on sheets in the morning can extend the useful life of bedding a few days.
Great tip! Thank you!
Great content and great video
Thank you Dave!
The downside of doing laundry on the road: 5 minutes after laying out freshly laundered bedding, the cat decides its time to hock a hair ball...😀😭😀
Not just on the road. I calculate that there is a 75% chance that either the cat or the dog will throw up on freshly washed bedding ...
@@theroadhome_Liz_Summers 😀
Absolutely!!
hahaha! There is always something...
I've read that Tile and Tile app has helped people recover stolen vehicles. It's cheaper than a dedicated theft recovery system.
Awesome good to know, thank you!
Having clean clothes is nice
Very nice indeed! Thanks for watching Mike!

Thank you Wes!
@@TailsofWanderlust your welcome
Hi Cass ! Great video ! :D
Thanks Antonio!
Someone suggested joining a national gym and doing your laundry there - while getting a workout too!
Oh interesting. I didn't realize the gyms had laundry service. Thanks for sharing!
@@TailsofWanderlust Check it out. Some suggested Planet Fitness (which is like $10 a month). They may allow overnight parking also. Safe travels!
Thank you!
In a recent youtrube you mentioned that a truck with a camper top is in your, can you explain a bit more why. Thanks George
Sure - I just picked one up so I'll definitely do a video on it in the future. I want something that can go down rougher dirt roads that the Airstream can't. That way when I go to Alaska/Yukon I can do roads such as the Dalton highway and bring my camper along.
Amazon has a large laundry top loading backpack for about 13 bucks with a zippered pouch for detergent pods.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing Mark!
Hope Jasper is feeling better
Thank you! He’s doing fine now. It was just a one time thing so not sure what he got into or what upset his stomach.
Thank you for all the great advice! Cause, I was almost considering one the crank ones for a lighter load. My husband and I are getting ready to start, what I’m going to call “The Fools Journey “. It’s actually the first tarot card of the deck.
We love our crank washer, it saves time and money.
Did you get yours off of amazon?
@@yisimlampiris-tremba2247 I believe we purchased it directly about 4 years ago (we try to restrain from Amazon purchases unless it is the only choice as this company has pretty much destroyed my industry that I have worked decades in)
Carl, thank you for the information. I’m sorry about your industry. There’s a lot of that happening, even in Europe. So, I understand.💕
Glad you found the video helpful. Although the crank washers don't work for my setup, some people do absolutely love them.
Do you find that you wear clothes 2 or 3 days in a row? My rule is if it doesn’t smell and isn’t stained, 3 days are okay, 2 days almost always. I have a Thousand Trails membership so I do my laundry in the park. I’ve found that Monday or Tuesday are best because most of the weekenders are gone. That doesn’t always work out though.
Oh absolutely! Pants last longer than shirts. That's another benefit of wearing a lot of dark colors - people can't tell if it's the same shirt as before or a different one :). Great tip on doing laundry Mon or Tues.
Yet another well put together video. Loved the subject you covered. And it might be just me, but on a side note...How do you plan for when you have to take either the Basecamp or your 4Runner in to the shop?
Thanks Eric! If the Basecamp goes into the shop, we tend to stay in hotels. Thankfully the 4Runner has only ever gone in for regular maintenance, so Jasper and I go in with it, he and I walk around the dealer, then pick it up and head back to the Basecamp.
That's, very much, how I do laundry also- at the Laundromat!🧺
It's a great way to do it! Thanks for watching!
all my whites turned pink. LOL Just came back from a 14 camping trip (LA to Oregon: coastal route).
Oh no!!! Hope you enjoyed the trip at least :)
@@TailsofWanderlust yes, the trip was fantastic. On Another note, I had an idea about washing clothes on the road. How about using one of them Yellow Mop buckets with the Squeezer/Press Wringer?
I stopped at a laundromat on the road last August and I was SO confused 😁 You had to take a debit or credit card, buy a laundromat card and “load” it with however much money you were going to need. I just stood there like an idiot until some nice lady explained it to me. But of course you don’t know ahead of time how much to put on it and you can’t get a refund so I ended up giving the card to the nice lady, with no idea how much was left on it. NOT a fun experience!
Those are the laundromats I'm not a fan of!
These are all good tips to follow. However, if your RV is equipped with a washer/dryer combo, and you're paying for a full hookup at the RV park, why pay an additional amount to wash your clothes at a laundromat, whether it's on the campground or at another location? If the park/campground doesn't meter the water or electric usage, just load up your washer and take it easy. Watch a movie or stream music while the wash is being done.
With what these places charged for overnight stays, I always felt justified in taking advantage of the utilities that I was already paying for.
Laundry- everyone's favorite, Cass!!! (Comment for YT algorythym)
Appreciate the comment David! Thank you!
I like a 6 gallon bucket, source of water, toilet plunger and some soap. Lacking a plunger, stomp with feet.
That's one way to do laundry! Thanks for watching.
Do you have a mattress topper? If so- what type?
Hi Diana - I have a Viscosoft 3" memory foam topper. It's been great, but after 3 years I'm thinking of getting a regular memory foam mattress.
Arizona? I recognize the scenery. Cloth dry fast in Arizona.
It is Arizona! Out near Phoenix area.
Could you safely store the Tide Pods in the freezer to keep them solid in hot climates? JAT.
Not sure if you can freeze them or not. Sadly my freezer is tiny so I'm not sure if the packaging would even fit in there.
I just stumbled across your channel and watched some of the older videos as well as this one. Enjoyed your content so I subscribed. Have you ever filmed a tour video of your Basecamp to show the features and how you maximize storage? I think people would enjoy seeing that.
Thanks Joy for subscribing and checking out the videos! I have not done a tour of the storage area yet, I'll have to work on that one. Thanks!
Do you ever disconnect your camper and leave it for a bit when you shop or run errands?
Absolutely. I leave it quite often so I can run errands.
seems to be a lack of laundry places in UK these days just seems to be services
Interesting. Wonder what travelers in the UK tend to do.
How did ur second shot go? Any side effects?
I was sick for about 24 hours, then felt completely fine!
@@TailsofWanderlust tomorrow is my second shot of Pfizer
Good luck Chris! I hope you don't have any of the side effects.
@@TailsofWanderlust I literally just had it an hour ago.. fingers crossed! Thank u!!!
Yes, have the alarm set. It’s true, there some freak people out there. And obviously, that’s being courteous not hugging the washer and dryer machine.
Absolutely. Thanks for watching Chris!
if you ever need quarters go to a car wash, you can always get quarters there.
Ah, great idea. Thanks Cheryl!
For a 100$ you can buy a portable washer from Walmart. Uses like 6 gallons of water.
Thanks Mike. I touched on that quickly about mid-way. I don't have enough room to carry something like that unfortunately.
I'm a truck driver and I've found more and more laundromat's don't take coins card only
That's interesting. Their own cards that you have to buy or credit cards? I'd love if they all switched to credit card someday.
@@TailsofWanderlust both I find places that offer discounts if you use their catd instead of a debit card
Interesting. Thanks for sharing!
How do you wash your Basecamp?
Easy... I don't 😂. The one time I sprayed it down I took it into an old fashioned car wash with a tall bay and where I could spray it myself.
Enjoyed the video - like the idea of laundring your laundry bag, but out of interest where do you store the bed linen?
The bed linen go in one of the cargo nets above the bed. I can store both sets of sheets and duvet covers there.
Do you ever worry about the fur babies being in the rig and theft? It’s my biggest worry ! (Future RV dweller )
:)
I definitely do. It crosses my mind every time I leave them. I try to bring Jasper with me everywhere I go but sometimes he does need to stay behind. If I do have to leave them, I make sure everything is locked up, and have a lock on the trailer as well. Or if I can stay in a State Park or camp with friends, I feel much better about leaving it. Although, I've never had any issues!
Do you ever say "um". I swear you are a pro when it comes to speaking. That always impresses me when I watch your videos. I mean aside from the obvious - you're gorgeous and I think I love you. No, I have decided. I do love you. AE
I was watching an interview with Anna Kendrick the other day and she said “and, um” every other word. It was so irritating.
@@lillypatience It sure is. I re-watched a few of the videos I have done and wow, way too many ums. Need to work on that.
Thanks Alan. I've been presenting for years at work now, and have tried really hard to remove the "ums", so appreciate that!
@@TailsofWanderlust Um....you're welcome and keep up the good work.

I HAVE A SMALL PORTABLE VACUMN SO BEFORE LAUNDRY I WILL VACUMN THE BEDDING AND IT GETS ALMOST ALL DOG HAIR OFF. THE REST OF THE HAIR IS WASHED OFF.
Very smart! There's always a lot of dog hair in there.
