Well, 1st Stooges album Steve mentions tail-ends the sixties. But yeah, I've heard between Mark and Steve them mention The Sonics, Wailers, Blue Cheer, MC5, Hendrix, Pretty Things, 13th Floor Elevators, early Sabbath, Billy Childish, even Paul Revere and the Raiders as being sixties favorites. The 60's is well-represented in their sound.
Mudhoney wrote the first grunge song in 1988, Touch Me I'm Sick, and at that time Kurt Cobain was Mudhoney´s roadie! Now they say Nirvana wrote the first grunge song in 1988 and there is no mention Mudhoney whats so ever. That stinks!!
Steve's right. It's hard to get tired of that first Stooges record. ;-)
Or any of them imo
Touch me I’m sick one of great rock punk whatever songs ever.
great show!!!!!
75 % of their selected records are among my own faves ... No wonder they're one of my all time favorite band. Surprised no 60's stuff was mentioned.
