Gary Willis is a SICK PLAYER, its crazy how it has passed over 30 years, and you guys still making out more basses for Gary! this is the perfection of bass products
Such a gentleman and huge talent!
Damn you Ibanez!! I've always wanted a GW but now.... it's a MUST!
Always nice to see new vids with bass legend Gary Willis !
The first bass clinic I ever went to was Gary Willis, over 30 freakin' years ago in Colorado springs, at a place called Grainer Music. A friend of mine got tickets and invited me to go with him. Seeing this add for his 25 th Anniversary bass definitely brought back some memories. Now, I just had one of my basses turned into a fretless and it has opened my eyes to a whole new world.
30 years ago I went to a bass clinic he did in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Grandma's Music. The action on his bass was insanely low(like, RIGHT on the fretboard!), but he produced his usual gorgeous, resonant tone...Love his compositions, too. Thanks Ibanez and thanks Mr. Willis!
@@markfretless Search up "Wimbish jam" on youtube - it's a Berklee Bass Department showcase with a number of very well-known bass players taking turns soloing. In my opinion, the best tone of the group, by far? Gary Willis. Outstanding playing by everyone, of course!
Willis you rule!!!
Thanks Gary & everyone @ Ibanez bringing the magic to artists and audiences worldwide. Love Y'all!
I love that the music stops when he says "The mids are perfect on this bass." for EMPHASIS! 😂
See you on the next anniversary, mic drop. Now gimme my paycheck. Cool as hell. Totally badass
25th? The calendar has certainly flown by!
Coolest bass I've ever owned. I have a stingray, fender deluxe, Ibanez btb and sound gear, Yamaha. This just has the coolest features. Plus, I was already gravitating towards fretless.
True legend!
That new finish is 🔥...I can imagine that on my EHB1505MS
So nice to see you again Mr Willis!
Sound's great.
would love to see also a fretted version
Ohhhh nicee
With all the respect you deserve Gary. Shut up and take my money!!!
Super cool!
Damn that is just beautifully simple
Nice to see this bass with a real ebony fretboard. Wonder how the tone is with the more melodic songs Gary does like Very Early, The Necessary Blonde, Say Never, and others.
❤Awsome 🎉🙏🍀
cool film cool bass simply cool
Baixo continua perfeito . Eu achava que esse modelo seria headless 😜
Seria incrivel se fosse
wonderful 😮 I wonder how much this bass weights. Is it as lightweight as the GWB1005, which I read it has just 3 kgs? I lovethe playing and the sound and the awesome technique of Mr Willis. 👍☺️
I'm no bassist but I want one of this signature bass.
beautiful. Honestly, I don;t like a "ramp'' but foud it really helpful and playing is way more comfrtable
Bass played by Gary Willis
Gary Willis played by Bob Balaban
Directed and Written for the Screen by Wes Anderson
Did he just play the PS startup sound at 0:11
Super 🤩👍
Can we hear the bass without the pedal Effects
no
Sounds like the Roland synth gear Gary has used for at least 10 years, not pedals
yes it sound that, but pedals or synth is the same, because, for a new bass we need to hear the bass only
@@RubyDimasStudio Other than the paint, Gary Willis has been playing a nearly identical bass for over twenty years! Check out any of his albums, Tribal Tech albums and especially his playing on Wayne Johnson’s “Keeping the dream Alive” if you want to hear him playing this bass. But that will only tell you what Gary sounds like playing it, the only way for you to experience it is to try one yourself.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
I saw all the fusion bands of the 70s thru early 90s at their prime....Gary and Tribal Tech were THE BEST live band I ever saw. They were so ridiculously good I just stopped going to shows all together....everything else was a disappointment.
Loved the wooden one. Sorry, This finish one is quite ugly. 😂Gary is awesome!!! ❤ at the end is Ibanez one of the rare creative brands, no endless p & j knockoffs - thank you Ibanez.
🚬🚬🚬
But seriously folks……
...but Why!?!?! This colours??? I know the 25th but we are not Gary Willis!!! I think that the production take a Goal with other finish
His signature instruments have been silver from the beginning. Looks awesome.
