  • I had to replace a control board on a SubZero refrigerator when I unplugged the fridge and plugged it back in the display never came back to life.
there is a power button inside the refrigerator possibly if I would turn it off first and then unplugged it might have saved the board but still I think if you lose power you should not lose the control board probably the board was on the way out.
this is the first time I program Sub-Zero refrigerator I have replaced many control boards and programmed other brands the instructions were included with the control board The part number for the board is.
    7028329
but I believe this program is instructions are also for many other models I did include attended the video screenshots of the instructions I hope if you pause that you can read those instructions. some of the menus were a little confusing to get through but I hope this video will be help for you if you decide to do it. the board was not very expensive and I think it can be done without too much expertise. also the board up pre-programmed and works right away some of the functions might not be working properly in some cases.

Thank you for the video. On the Subzero website it indicates this board was substituted to part #7041553. Is 7028329 the newer version of the control board? My refrigerator works fine, but the display went blank.

They both should work the substitute and The older version as well. If the refrigerator is still running and everything is cooling there is a small chance that the display board is bad and not the main control. Usually it's pretty hard to test that. Are the buttons responding and the noises from the display control when you're pressing buttons? if there is no response at all I would probably go with the main board most likely that one will be cheaper to try

@@myappliancefixed Thank you. The display shows nothing and does not respond to anything. It sounds like more of a display board issue than main control based on your comments. I have the same unit as you worked on in the video.
