Best mud motor made. I have the 40hp on a 1655 and love it. I had the 22 predator on another boat. I had issues with the fuel cutting out. I put a electric fuel pump on it and then it ran like a champ. But the best performed I did was customized my exhaust and removed the governor. That's all on the 22hp. I've done nothing to the 40hp.
BTW, add a grab bar. It's well worth it

@@t-bone1890 I picked mine up at our local auto part store. But all you need is a low pressure, something under 2 lbs. You will have to remove the pulse pump and plug the vacuum line to do this

I’ve been wanting to build an engine for a long tail. But all the high HP custom engines have gravity fed fuel system. And they don’t run any type of alternator to charge a battery and run the pump, I’ll have to figure something out.
