Awesome brother! I've had outboards and surface drives and I'm hooked on the longtails from Go Devil. They'll take you anywhere you want to go and further.
@YouKnowWhoTheBand nice, I am 43 years old. Just bout my son first mud motor. 16 horse vangaurd go devil. Any tips on getting lil more speed. More rpms..
@@barrylandry4447 I'll assume it's carbureted - best things to do would be adjust the throttle cable to be tighter, adjust the throttle body, an exhaust, maybe bigger jets for the carb or a bigger carb in general. Other that that you can take down the block and put a cam and lifters and all that in. But I think that would be overkill for a 16hp. Hope that helps and I hope your son stays safe and has fun on the water.
@@barrylandry4447 grab bars are very handy and for a safety thing also, I see a lot of guys run em without grab bars, if you get in a lot of trash, logs and stumps, it will throw you, Nice to have something to hold onto
I got a crawfish go devil frame with a 670 on it, it does good
Nice man
I’m saving up for a godevil longtail

Whats your deck on ur boat made out of?
@@travisfuller6590 Just some plywood. But I coated it in truck bed liner for non-slip and durability purposes.
What size engine do you have
That's a 23hp Kohler powerhead
