    Great episode!
    It's a bit surreal to see some of the places we've also travelled in the past month or so.

    Hi guys we have just done this in our y62 patrol and 19ft offroad van ! No issues at all . I'm not sure why these people were going thru the softer section rather than the dampened main track on the right . Tyre pressures and n steady as you go ! Palm Valley was amazing ! The camp grounds we OK they have solar showers n flushing toilets but check your sites carefully as the dimensions don't match real sites we had to go to over flow . We had a nice time here !

      If they went any further right they would be in the bush! There had been heavy rain the week before so the track you are talking about might have been disguised, although the guy stuck with the trailer was a local who drives in weekly. He always takes that route 🤷‍♀️ What ever, thankfully there were lots of helpers for everyone.

    Another great video guys. And, yes, don't forget the fly nets! Have you done a video on your caravan and why you chose that one, and, what pressures do you run on those type of dirt roads? P.s. it's cold as back here in Newy but we missed the bulk of the rain that Sydney & the Gong are getting. Cheers.

      Glad you liked the video. We haven’t made a video about why we chose this van, but we did make a walk through video when it was new back in 2018. Search Digger and you should find it. The roads in this video were normal tyre pressures, we run 60 on the van.

    How do you guys secure your van when you go off and do day trips when your not staying in a caravan park ?

    • @happycampersaustralia
      @happycampersaustralia  3 місяці тому

      Just locked as usual. We would never leave the van anywhere we feel unsafe. But we feel that free camping is often safer than caravan parks in some locations.

      Can you let me know what Locked as usual actually is ? Is that a hutch lock or wheel clamp or both?

    • @happycampersaustralia
      @happycampersaustralia  3 місяці тому

      Sorry Michelle. We just lock the van with the key, and walk away. We do also have a hitch lock, but rarely use it. We are comfortable leaving the van in most free camps. The hitch lock is only used when we are in secluded free camps on our own, but we don’t feel the need to use that very often. Hope this makes sense. 😃

    Try paying $50 a night forunpowered peace of dirt at Ayres Rock $75 with power, and they wonder people free camp

    • @happycampersaustralia
      @happycampersaustralia  3 місяці тому +1

      Yes, we have paid that too, but location makes a difference. It’s the expensive places without location that we hesitate at. We paid over $50 unpowered at Kings Canyon, prices are escalating everywhere
