This is so true. you have to exert extra effort and patience if you're planning to buy ANY Huawei products. Extra cautious too when downloading apps. I've been using Huawei Nova 7SE for 2 yrs now. I must say that I'm contented even until now with how fast and smooth my apps are running and there are less issues about lagging unlike my previous android phones still, be cautious. I'm not as techy as most of you but, I only bought it bc I thought it was a perfect phone for me at that time hahahaha.
At first, Yung access to Google services Ang problem ko (but thankfully nagka Gspace). Ang sunod ay Yung lag/hang/automatically closed Ang apps. Then Yung network data to work ay need pa i-restart Ang cp more than 5 times para gumana.😔

Thanks for the review. It became my turning point. Though I have been an avid flagship user of Huawei (from Mate 7 up to Mate 30Pro), I am now at a point if I will purchase Mate 50Pro which I've been constantly looking at every Huawei store I go to. Huawei has issues with banking app esp BPI and it cannot connect to Android Auto. Being the basic user that I am, I loved Huawei because of its durability, winner talaga. But since this time dumarami ang red flags especially to the apps I need most then I have to take a break until it can serve me better again. Thanks again for this very clear and honest review.

Sobra honest ni STR. Currently using nova 9 and i intended to uninstall gspace at gbox sobrang nakaka drain ng battery then now I'm using lighthouse, which is kinda better between the previous mentioned apps.
sir punta ka lng sa permission ng gbox turn off mo yung automatic background running para hindi maka drain ng malakas na battery sa gbox..yes Lighthouse i installed it too on my system thankfully i downloaded and used gmail google met/photos/maps/chat/earth/drive/classroom/sheet/translate/home and youtube vanced too

Nahulog na siya sa tubig napalagyan kona siya ng new battery, Nahulog na siya ng maraming beses pero buhay parin. Nova 3i siya pero hindi sumusuko lahat naman nagagamit ko sa kanya. Bought a secondhand nova 7i last week after ma deadboot yung poco x3 pro ko. I'm satisfied naman, at first medyo hassle dahil kelangan mo pa mag download ng mga 3rd party app like g space pero after non halos same nalang ang experience sa mga smartphone ngayon. Feel ko pa nga parang nag upgrade ako ng phone from my poco x3 pro

Napaka helpful ng content na ito sa mga balak bumili ng Huawei phones pero sana i-consider nalang muna nila yung ibang brands kasi kahit ako, medyo hirap talaga mag setup nung gumamit ako ng Huawei na walang GMS.

I'm a huawei user but I don't have any issues using it. And nova 9 gamit Ko and luckily walang bloat ware unit na nabili Ko kagaya nung kay sir. 😀Pero totoo yun na dapat well informed ka sa mga extra apps and extra effort para makagamit ka ng google dependent apps..

Definitely a YES for techies like me. Been using Huawei flagships for almost 5 years. From Mate 10 Pro to Mate 20 Pro to Nova 9 to P40 Pro, all I can say is that Huawei handsets are build to last and very dependable. And like Sir STR mentioned, it is not really easy to recommend to those na di mahilig mag explore ng phone cause they will surely find it difficult to settle for a Huawei device. I've tried different newer brands but Huawei pa rin talaga. ❤️😊

Ang gandanng EMUI 12 hehe I like the font. Andami nga magagandang phone ngayon pero kulang naman sa support walang update ang OS.
3 Huawei phones ang ginamit ko bago ako nag palit ng brand dahil sa Google service. Comparing it to Xiaomi na gamit ko ngayon, dami bloatware at bug ng Xiaomi di tulad sa Huawei ko na napaka bilis pa rin at Mas maganda ang screen even though both sila amoled. Till now gumagana pa mga Huawei devices ko. Pero ang Xiaomi ang bagal na dahil sa bugs.

as a google person, the answer is no. there is too much unnecessary crap in the phone out of the box especially the bloatware. the workaround to install a simple app is too tedious and there are concerns about compatibility. very hard to recommend. might as well use xiaomi phones... still considering the next gen google pixel phones for my next upgrade.

Huawei Y9 (2019) ang gamit ko at maganda parin, wlang pag babago. kagandahan kc ng huawei mayron silang replacement na original like LCD, battery, at original body case nya. Tapos mura at laging nag sasale mga gamit nila. Based yan sa experience ko. I also have Huawei mate 40pro ok nman kahit wla akong google. Depende na yan sa gumagamit.
Ang Swerte ko nalang talaga sa Unit ko na P30 lite. May Playstore and ala akong problema sa Update na Emui 12, Wala din ako nung mga floating ads. Sobrang Sulit din ng mga chipset nila Hilsilicon kirin700 still kicking👌 3years old na siya pero di parin ako napapahiya sa performance.
Good and informative video, I have a nova 9 and nova y90, downloaded gbox, the disney plus app will not work on both, tried lots of workarounds. Good thing these are just my back up phones. Good hardware, software still needs work. My iphone 13 has the disney app working, so I agree with this video, even though the iphone running ios does not have google services out of the box, it can still run them at no problems at all.
If I spend 40, 50K on a phone, I should not have to do some workarounds just to use it as I intended. Unfortunately for Huawei, lacking of Google services is a major drawback.

Ang na gustohan q sa huawei ang lakas sumagap ng signal at wifi.
Siguro dahil Huawei equipment at antennas ang madalas na naka install sa mga tower ng mga telco sa Pilipinas. Huawei din ang gumagawa ng karamihan sa mga wi-fi router ng mga internet provider at telco na nasa Pilipinas ngayon. Opinion ko lang yan at nasa quality din ng chipset, design ng antenna, at software optimization ng phone ang ilan sa mga dahilan ng lakas o hina ng signal.

As a Huawei user oh btw my phone was Huawei Y6p 2020 this phone has no google services pero di naman ako nahirapan madali lang maaccess yung mga google apps na need naten in my first used this phone medyo nangapa ako but thankful ako kase sa YT there many tutorials on how to setup now i'm user of huawei for almost 2 years.

I bought huawei nova 7i i believe 2 to 3 years ago. When i first bought this sa SM Mall mind you pandemic pa to, sira ang lcd, para mareplace ung phone from Cavite nag antay kame sa Festi ng whole day just for replacement. Napakabagal ng customer service nila dahil madameng ginagawa.
Malakeng impact din wala silang google esp if gamer ka.
All in all di na ako bibili ulit ng huawei based sa experience. Maganda pa din tong huawei nova 7i ko despite na 2 to 3 yrs old na siya pero ung inconvenience niya dahil walang google mahirap.
Bibili sana ako last week nung Huawei smart band, buti timestimg ko muna sa store. Sobra hassle mag connect tapos wala sa play store yung companion app, lagi pa nagdidisconnect sa phone. Sana mag collab kayo ni Qkotman at Pinoy Tech Dad.

Oke naman Huawei basta marunong lang humanap ng solution like pano maka access ng gms pero not recommended talaga sa mga may edad na like mama ko gustong mag Huawei dahil malaki storage pero naiisip ko palang pag install ng fb for sure ma ha hassle na sya jusk. Napabilib din ako sa Huawei kasi way back month after buying y7a nagka Ron ng screen bleed but after a couple of software updates kasi palagi silang may updates ayun na wala til now mag 2 yrs na ata to sakin. Super bilis din mag charge 1hr lang full batt na.

Sony flagship user ako dati. Nag lipat ako ng huawei flagship and i'm using now huaweip30pro mag 4years ko na ginagamit and wala pa ko may nakitang problem. 😊 soon to upgrade to mate50pro. D rin issue sakin ang walang google at walang 5g. Yung p30pro ko walang 5g pero nag rarange speed internt ng 300mbps okay na sakin yun

I just bought huawei tablet a couple of weeks ago... 1 major issue sakin is ung app gallery na nag rerecommend ng apps na galing apkpure and some other sites tapos may warning na out ang huawei kung may mangyaring masama pag nag proceed ka to install the app.
Walang assurance na safe ung mga apps na yon. especially ung mga bank apps.
for youtube and google keep, OK na ko sa quick app which is immediately available sa app gallery. parang browser shortcut sya pero goods naman. ito lang naman pinaka need kong google app.
Google sheet/docs, via browser naman or gbox.
hindi ngapala gumagana ung google sheet/ docs sa gbox. nakakahinayang ung part na to kasi mas maganda ung user experience ni gbox compared kay gspace na panay ads and mabagal!

I've been using p50 pro for how many months now. It's a hit and miss. Ganda camera but the motion is makanto and hindi smooth when you span the phone either left or right. The super obvious lens shift at 4x zoom. Connection issue sometimes. Nag sstruggle siya mag connect or mag open ng apps kahit may net connection naman. Poor customer service, yes they pick up the call pero they will just tell you na naireport na sa higher dept. Once di nila na resolve yung issue kaso ang catch is wala na follow up after that. Pang Genshin impact ko nalang yung p50pro ko. Lol
hindi problema ang Huawei kung alam mo i access ang mga services na naka web format, same lang sa pagamit ng laptop or computer.Mga nasanay lang sa app version ang mamroblema nyan.
Hi, Nagfocus po kayo sa kawalan ng google services at 5G ng mga current Huawei mobile phones. Sana tinalakay nyo rin yung camera & photo quality. I kept my Huawei P40 and still using it kasi super maganda mg photos na kuha nun at may 5G despite walang GMS. To be fair, agree po ako sa mga comments ninyo. Totoo naman lahat iyon. Sa part ko, I bought Huawei Mate 50 pro dahil sa pambihirang camera setup niya. Tsaka lahat ng apps na gamit ko ay nasa Appgallery. May work around din naman para sa ibang apps na wala sa Appgallery. May secondary moble phone din ako para sa ibang mga apps na specific sa GMS. May iphone 14 din ako, kaso may app din na wala sa Apple store na kelangan ko. So iphone is also not so good. Ang bottom line, depende nalang yan sa needs ng bawat user.

binanggit naman yung camera. pero ang typical user ng smartphone, hindi lang naman camera ang focus. Poco F1 was huge. maganda ba yung camera? hindi daw ganun ka-reliable (never owned), pero madaming bumili, madaming gumagamit. yung mga kilala ko na naka-Huawei, talagang camera ang reason kaya nila binili pero most of them techy talaga at alam nila ang ginagawa nila. ang mga typical users, hindi ganun ang reason kaya bumibili ng smartphone. security is important, convenience is important, gaming is more important than camera.
Matagal ko nang gamit tong Huawei Y7s ko.. So far so Good parin kahit mag3yrs ko nang ginagamit.

Maganda sana tlga yung huawei, kung di lng tlga nagkaproblema, nka 3 phones din ako na huawei, una yung GR5 2017 tas pangalawa yung nova 2i tas last yung Honor 8x (nung sub-brand pa cla ng Huawei), sulit kc tlga yung phones nila pati price nuon kaso nung nagkaproblema lumipat na ko sa xiaomi....para saken malaking factor kc tlga yung google services na meron na agad right out of the box kesa yung magda-download ka pa ng 3rd party app para lang magkaron ka tska yung 5g connectivity, xmpre kelangan future proof kc dumarami na yung mga lugar na nkakasagap ng 5g network....sana mkabangon cla...
I'm using P50 pro, pero wala naman issue with Gbox. Na download ko lahat ng applications na binanggit niyo sir like Fossil without any error. I don't know ano issue, pero try to uninstall Gbox and redownload sa website nila. Before, Gspace user ako, pero nung nalaman ko yung Gbox, mas comfortable ako dito, una walang ads, second mas smooth yung apps sa Gbox compared to Gspace.

di ko sure kung sa google play store ba yong problema o sa huawei mismo o sa smartphone na gamit ko mismo, huawei y6 2018 pa to na may 2gb/16gb na variant, at kapag nag iinstall at update din ako ng apps, tulad sa zoom last time, hindi nag i-install, sinubukan ko mag clear ng space, don lang nakapag update ng apps, siguro sa storage capacity yong problem sa phone ko, pero overall, the content was great, pinag iisipan ko rin kung dapat pa ba ko bumili ng huawei phones ngayon, mukhang alam ko na ang sagot hahahha

been using Huawei since 2020, before ko bilhin yung phone ko sinabi naman na walang Google sa system. I used Aurora Store para madownload ko yung mga APPLICATION na need ko.

I got Huawei and ditched it because my work relied heavily on Google services. If you don't need google services, Huawei works just fine. The hardware is superb.
Sa panahon ngayon red flag yung walang 5G. Ok pa sa panahon ng p40 may work around installation ng native GMS

I guess mas ok parin si Lighthouse compare sa gbox or any related kagaya nyan. ang down side lang sakin is hindi talaga nadedetect as google play service mga nabanggit kaya yunh ibang apps walang notification and other bank apps hindi rin mainstall dahil walang google play.

Para Sakin Happy aku na walang Google play Services Why? Kasi Walang Google App Bloatware and GMS Running in background also HMS Running in Background malakas sa battery.. And dami nman alternative Applications...

Super smooth parin. Tagal parin malobat, ang bilis mag charge. Never nag-lagging.. Kung sa google naman ang issue, nagagamit ko naman lahat ng apps na gusto kong apps. Kakalikutin mo pang talaga.. Para sa google naman bumili ako ng worth 7k na android phone as my secondary phone para sa google support.. And im planning to buy again a HUAWEI nova 10 pro this week.. Loyal huawei user here 🥰

Kaso ayun nga wala ang Huawei ng playstore so kunwari ako isang casual user na medyo maiksi pasensya so di pwede sa akin ang Huawei device kase baka maaga akong tumanda parang ganon ba boss.
Dyan ako nacha-challenge sa Huawei. Kaya gusto ko ang Huawei smartphone.
Hindi ko gusto ang UA-cam implementation ng Gbox, sa Gspace pa rin ako. At mas malaki na memory ang naco-consume ang Gbox kesa sa Gspace.
Sinubukan niyo ba sir sa Gspace ung para sa Fossil at Amazfit app?

For a common user hassle pag walang Google services daming ek ek para mapagana ibang apps. Convenience ang labanan dito and kung alang Google services, waldas Oras mo sa Kaka update o Kaka maintain ng apps para lang sila gumana. Iwas muna mga common users. Save your time and money, hanap kayo ng may Google services na device.
Dipende pa din sa preference ng gagamit kung san sila comfortable. Ako huawei user since 2018 until now huawei talaga phone ko kasi dun ako comfortable.
