I was going to make a comment about needing to protect this train from graffiti, but then I read the description. What a damn shame! Can't help but feel that someone should have predicted this would happen and took necessary precautions to prevent this. Nice capture with the arcing too.
CoachAlex1996 (AlexMetroman) I doubt it’ll come off that well. Most likely it will leave a significant mark on the body. They’d probably need to paint the train to hide it
That was a close guess! It would go to Lambeth North, reverse and travel northbound to Baker Street, then it would change to the Jubilee Line, over to the Metropolitan Line at Neasden and then into Ruislip Depot.
@AlexMetroman I find it fascinating how the different tube lines are interconnected for situations like this. Is there a map of all the available places where a train can switch from one line to another?
This map is very good, Richard: cartometro.com/cartes/metro-tram-london/?r=cmf Connections are the Piccadilly & Northern Lines via King's Cross Loop from the Piccadilly Line at King's Cross to the Northern Line at Euston, the Piccadilly & Victoria Lines just south of Finsbury Park, the Bakerloo & Jubilee just north of Baker Street and the Metropolitan/Piccadilly Lines at Ruislip to the Central Line's Ruislip Depot.

Thank you, hopefully it will be cleaned off during it's next maintenance trip.

Nice shots 👍🏻
Thank you!
0:58 Wow never seen such heavy arcing on a tube train before...
DAAAMM why did it spark like that lol, never seen tubes do that inside the tunnels lol
There must have been a problem with the shoegear.
I saw it at Ruislip depot and it had its components removed and now has hardly anything left but a bare bodyshell frame.
Are there any photos.? And if there is can you send a link to it?
I have photographs of it but I haven't uploaded any. I will eventually upload a video about it.
How would the train go after leaving Maida Vale? Is that Baker Street-Jubilee Line-Met Line-Ruislip-Ruislip Depot?

Why were the tracks sparking
The collector shoes of the train weren't collecting the traction current properly in that place, that's all.
Sadly this whole set is now scrapped.
It has not been scrapped. It's sat at Ruislip depot, having been stripped for spares.
@@AlexMetromanI saw it too at Ruislip depot recently, most of the components taken off and now it is a mere skeleton bodyshell
How do you get before the train to the next station?
It ran the following evening after spending the day at Ruislip Depot.
Does the train still have graffiti on it?
It has been painted over now.
are these 2 same or different
It's different to the rest of the 1972 Stock as this unit isn't refurbished.
