- Some people love dogs. Others love cats. I LOVE FOXES!
My name is Victoria and I'm the owner of 2 adorable foxes - Alf the Fox and Vasilisa the Fox. I rescued them from different fur farms in Russia where animals are bred in captivity for their pelts. Now they live in my house with me and my husband Alex.
I want to show that foxes are special and they deserve a better existence than tiny cages on fur farms. My channel is my attempt to show that foxes also have feelings and they can feel love for their owners.

1:25 Vasilisa the Fox is wearing a harness with the leash. We just returned from our daily walking. Alfie likes to take a leash in his teeth and "to walk" with Vasilisa. It looks funny and I specially left this ammunition to show this funny moment. But Alf was so excited to see Vasilisa that he didn't notice the leash.

If an animal either did not love or trust you, they would never expose the belly as these foxes have. They love you dearly and you take great care of them... Thank you for sharing the moments. :)

Back in 1996 to 1998) my father had a wild fox vixen that used to visit and jump up on him and show affection. She would come into the house to be fed every evening and would hang around to sleep during the day sometimes. She'd go on walks with him to the neighbours where they'd give her biscuits and meat scraps.
Then she stopped coming around for a few weeks one summer (1998) so we were worried. Then one day she appeared with 5 cubs, left the cubs in the back garden for us to look after and went into the neighbour's garden for a few hours sleep. Later she returned and took the cubs away.
That is just so amazing. You're dad and you were considered one of the den members to that fox

Those people that don't realize this are stupid
A lot of people are idiots sadly and dont understand animals that get winter coats or have long fur. Case in point I actully had a husky when i was younger and he got into our shed which had been damaged by a storm while we were cleaning up. He got chemicals all over his fur that we couldn't wash off so we had to "defur" him as they were toxic as hell and were clumping and hardening causeing pain. Even though he was a healthy weight if not slightly over weight he looked emaciated sans fur compared to a normal husky because huskies are 60% fluff
A peta hag who lived near us saw him and thought he was being abused. She called the police on me then after the officer saw the dog, saw it was fine just furless and i told him why left. She barged into our backyard then confronted me, pepper sprayed then tazed me and tried to take cody.
Whats irronic is because my dog was less then pleased about his dad getting hurt...and getting sprayed and then tazed too when he resisted then bit the shit out of her, she then tried to get him destroyed as "vicious" heh. Luckily the judge tossed the case out then slapped her with assault, breaking and entering then animal cruelty.
Sadly its not even an extreme example, people like that are EVERYWHERE, as are storys like.mine. and these "people" cant be bothered to learn about the animals they "love"

I can understand why people who very unfamiliar with animals might not realize at first just how skinny many animals are under their fur. But you'd think that some animal crusader toe like your neighbor should have some idea. IMO for many such extreme people their cause is really about themselves, not the wellbeing of who they're trying to "save".

There are actual domesticated foxes that have been bred to like humans in russia but they are kinda expensive to get.

They may be the kind I heard about years ago, either from Russia or farther East;
They were BRED, in several generations of foxes, to approximate the "wolves to dogs" evolutionary process.
The result was some very "doglike" domestic foxes, like the loveable ones in this video.
There is a breed, the _Shiba Inu_, that resembles small red foxes. They're popular for their beauty, cuteness, and intelligence.
They're an outdoor pet and I believe they require a special diet. Don't adopt any until you research them well.
I plan to but I saw on tictock a man that has a domestic fox- name is TheWhiteRedFox- the foxes name is Lance Corporal and he’s a indoor fox

I have friends in the states, so I am sure that our cultures are similar, but at the same time, we have very different traditions and holidays.
Foxes appeared in my family after I found out in the Russian social nets that I can save the life of baby fox by taking it from a fur farm. A couple of years ago, I realized that social activities did not help close these terrible farms of death. And I decided to show my videos to people. I hope this cute image will help women refuse to buy a fur coat.

I grew up with Siberian Huskies so I get it. In the Winter they are huge and fluffy. Spring arrives and they shed...oh man did they shed! Clumps of hair EVERYWHERE to the point where they looked "emaciated". Of course they weren't they had simply shed half their weight in fur.
At any rate, I continue to be inspired by your selfless love and dedication.

Our American domesticated foxes are not as docile and doglike as your fox. Ours are more skiddish but still very loving

It started in Russia after WW2 and led to foxes who behave similar to what's in this video. It's pretty remarkable what's been achieved in a few decades compared to totally wild foxes.

I have worked with wildlife from childhood. When an animal trusts you like this you can"t have a bad thought in your mind and a heart of gold.
