Hey Phil and Ry, I believe Azzi is going to have a good game on Sunday. I think she’s due!!!most of her shot goes halfway down an then pop out.

Guys happy new year 2u both🎉 now you know we love us some uconn ladies beeball over here in London... but I cant see any team in the big east capable of giving our girls the kind of games they need to improve in order to conquer UCLA South Cali Notre Dame or USC consistently... and therefore we now have to face the elephant in the room... Paige will becone the latest superstar 2 enter the WNBA without a college title... as will Azzi I believe next year... at what point will Geno focus if ever... on building a team around Sarah and all she brings...

KK reminds me of Rene Montgomery who always seemed to be full of energy. Oftentimes our team appears to not have the ENERGY and excitement that that they need to fight. I don't mean to play, I mean to fight for every win. Their intensity is not what it used to be. Maybe they should address this issue? They and the coaching staff need to work on getting the team "UP" before they walk out on the floor. Granted, and as you know from being at a game, there's a lot going on in the stadium before the game starts. The fans seem more energized than the team sometimes. When I was a cheerleader for our basketball team many moons ago, we had this chant..."Go FIGHT WIN"! And our team won 2 State Championships. Maybe the pressure is getting to some of the players especially Paige? She has a heavy burden as the team leader and as spokes person for the team in the media. Being who UCONN is I think the pressure and distractions need a little attention.

I honestly think that having KK coming off the bench is more valuable than having her start. KK, Ash, then when Aubrey comes back, those three coming off the bench plus our freshman is a huge strength of ours

I don’t think KK should start until she can make her 3s consistently. KK and Aubrey off the bench in a couple of weeks will terrorize teams

Take the Louisville and ole Miss games out. And Azzi is shooting really poorly this season. I also think she is due. I always hear about her shooting ability. Well it is time to see it more consistently now. I hope she has a good game.

The sprain knee set Azzi back quite a bit and hopefully she can get back into rhythm soon. She is too good of a shooter to be missing wide open shots. My main concern is can Azzi stay healthy for the rest of 2025. We really need her along with more consistency for Ashlynn Shade because she’s a big time scorer.

It's going to take Azzi a long time to get back to form. We probably won't see her shooting consistent until March.

Relax she only has 4 game back from a year of no action at all

Geno has always had a good defensive player come off the bench. Somebody who could start but gives the team a spark on D. KK is perfect for that role. It was Westbrook and Griffin the last few years. Chen is good also. She doesn't turn the ball over and plays hard on defense too. She needs to shoot more than 3 times a game. I'd leave the lineup like it is. It's hard for a team to have to deal with KK and Ash coming in there and hounding the opposing guards who are already tired

UCONN should have no problem winning 79 to 67.

UCONN 81 VILLANOVA 48 UCONN is a big east power house they held teams in the big east under 50 points I expect them to do it again. The big east teams won't have any answers for Sara defensively this year, when Paige and Azzi move on teams in the conference may start planning.

Phil & Ry, what do you know about the possibility of Caroline Ducharme playing ever again? She would be a “GAME CHANGER”, for sure.

Ry, Christina Dulce plays for LSU not Maryland.

Sorry Ryan, I thought you meant "Dulce" who now plays for LSU from the Big East. You were talking about the other Christina Dalce who now plays for Maryland. Again Sorry...my bad.

UConn wins. But I would like to see our players make a concerted effort to find open players that are cutting to the hoop. This is an ongoing problem that needs to be fixed before March. I can't tell if it is a talent issue, or if they are afraid to make a mistake because of Geno's wrath. Either way, we need to find open players. Paige would have almost 10 more points per game if her team mates would find her when she cuts. I don't care if Jesus himself is coaching on the sideline, when the best basketball player in the nation makes a cut to the hoop with her hand in the air, you throw her the darn ball.
PHewww. Rant over. I feel better now. lol
    Peace.

I just watched the play where Paige got injured. She was asking for a flagrant foul. I don't know how Geno kept his cool. If I was coaching I would have been ejected because I would have demanded the Villanova player get ejected because that was a cheap shot.
