I am hoping that Paige is going to repeat what she did last year. Paige was not great until the end of January/February last year. She kicked it up a notch. And that is why UConn made the final four. Right now, she is not a first team all american. We need her to be though. Our offense and our team are heavily dependent on her.
I see flashes of that killer instinct of which you spoke, in Morgan Chelli. Watch her; and I think you will agree wwith me, although it won’t come its full extent until next year. But she can do it now, if she puts her mind to it.
Uconn just might have one of their best games. Look for Sarah to be more aggressive. Azzi and Paige know they have to score more. Aubrey is another energy player who can make big plays. She is a more athletic and experienced version of Morgan! Geno will get these girls to play with a killer instinct. 4 freshmen and 4 sophomores is a real young team. Some of what they have to learn is going to take a little longer. But, it will happen. Azzi leading the team in scoring for 3 games in a row is what everyone wanted to see. Morgan continues to impress. I like how it looks like the other team is going to get a rebound or a loose ball. But, somehow Morgan comes out of the lane with the ball. A lot like Sarah in that regard.
UCONN 77 SETON HALL 66 In thus game Paige reaches 2000 points in her college basketball career and that maybe enough of a detraction to win this game .I wonder whether they will stop the game ? The team is at home, Paige is going to have the fan section go wild. It may motivate the team to score as an individual more points than her. Sara may do something amazing this game. Jana shoot my jump shots from the free throw line. P.S. Morgan may shut down there best player
A lot depends on how well UConn starts. If SH goes for 3pt shooting, UConn has to guard at the 3pt line strongly from the start. A second thing is how well UConn plays their half-court offense. Will they get into up-tempo patterns they know? A third may be how well UConn can play their defense to get offense. They've done that at times, but it hasn't been a huge focus for them so far. This could be a good game to do more of that. UConn has the bench to play up-tempo and try to run the other team into the ground. This could be the 1st game of the season where that's a high priority. It requires some relaxed, confident play where their training comes to the fore automatically.
There is a 'chance' that we see Aubrey on Sunday. If true, that is about a month sooner than I would have predicted. Good stuff! Geno's offensive scheme does not allow Paige to be aggressive they way Ry wants/expects her to be. Geno has turned Paige into just another cog in the machine that does exactly what she is told. On the flip side, there is a part of me that also believes that Paige is holding back, waiting for someone to step up. Someone reliable that she can play off of during tournament season. We shall see. Peace!
I want to see the top 7/8 players pushing 30mpg, its mid Jan, time is running out.

If Ice & Jana can consistently hit mid-range shots, that should open some passing lanes. Fingers crossed.
We will see this team to step up but don't think they will all we can do is hope
The UCONN centers can't handle the competition that they will face.
I agree! Hoping for the best, tho!
@@debbiehaugen1912 Me too.

Team is slow. We need Aubrey back.
