  • If you've got milkshake oil in your Sea-Doo jet ski personal water craft it could be one of three things: 1. Cracked cylinder head; 2. Leaky intercooler; or 3. Leaky oil radiator. Here we show how to remove and install a Sea-Doo oil cooler or radiator on a 2017 Sea Doo GTI SE 130.

      hey thanks for your message! We haven’t posted a video for 10 months now and nobody’s noticed until now! We thought nobody cared about our content anymore so we’ve essentially stopped. Who knows, maybe we’ll get inspired and start making videos again. Thanks again and safe riding!

    First good vídeo as always, but coolant needs to be removed always. Not only if you remove pto cover. Without removing pto cover the coolant pipes need to be drained in order to change radiator.

    Some great info thx, looking to do a boil out to remove the water from the oil in my ski. Do you have a vid of this ? Manual says to get the water up to specific temp, requiring BUDS to monitor. Is there a way to do it without BUDS?

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  8 місяців тому +1

      There are detailed instructions in a service manual for your machine , but if you’ve got salt water in there remember that the salt will not boil off. Better to just keep replacing your oil until it’s clean. That’s what we do. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 flushes (running the engine at operating temperature after each oil change), so we get the cheapest oil (that meets engine specs) we can find for the job, knowing it’ll be replaced after only a few minutes of use. Thanks for the kind words, and good luck.

      We haven’t been putting out ski videos for a while. They definitely weren’t very popular. We are hoping to get out this weekend, but have to admit we haven’t been able to get on the water much this summer. Lots of other things going on. Thanks for asking though!

    Hey gentlemen I have a question I know you can answer. We didn’t use our jet skis much through COVID. They’re garage kept and I did not keep up with battery maintenance nor start them. I don’t want to just crank them up. What all should I do before attempting to restart and use them this summer. Thanks. Your insight has always been helpful.

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  Рік тому

      Thanks for the kind words. If it were my machine, I'd spray some fogging oil into each cylinder and leave it for an hour or so before cranking the engine over. I'd also make sure the battery is fully charged (or replace it if it's more than 4 years old), and give it a thorough visual inspection inside and out. If you didn't check the pump before storage, I'd pull it and make sure there's no water intrusion into it. If you didn't change the oil, filter and/or spark plugs, I'd replace them. Also, check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/uxyfqDPoQ2o/v-deo.html. Good luck.

    I have a milky mess in my entire coolant system on my 2013 GTI 130 SE, however I sucked out all the oil and there is no sign of coolant! What gives??? Also, do you have any suggestions for removing all that goop from the ride plate radiator? Thanks for making great and helpful videos!

      @@3ftDeepChannel So Sorry, I can't seem to find my other comment. I would love to see your response. In the meantime, I removed the oil radiator and put 30 lbs air pressure in the oil side. I didn't notice any hissing sound or air coming from the coolant side. Do you think I checked it correctly? If it isn't the oil radiator, then what next? Maybe I should remove the PTO cover and replace the oil pump shaft seal? Thank you very much for your time, my local dealer quoted 6K for a full engine rebuild. This is a summer camp unit with over 1000 hours(hour meter stopped at 992). Not worth the cost of a dealer repair I think.

    Hey guys my 2016 rxpx 300 has the battery light on. I kept the battery charged over the winter and had no issue with the machine. Now it has this issue lol. Is there something simple that you guys have come across. I have checked the fuses and they are good. Or is there something that usual goes on theses machines? You guys are awesome with all the videos I cannot find any thing on the battery light

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  Рік тому

      If you haven’t changed your battery, it’s definitely time to do so. I usually replace mine every 4 years …no matter what. I consider them “dead or dying” after 5 years. If it’s relatively new, check your ground wires on the engine block and on the battery post. Thanks for the kind words, and ride safe.

      @@3ftDeepChannel no it’s a older battery I was getting it ready to hit the water tomorrow. Yes I will checking the grounds tomorrow and doing a battery load test on. Just looking in the repair manual to find the grounds. Was not sure maybe there was issue with the voltage regulator or something else that may of been a common issue that you guys may come across on a regular basis

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  Рік тому

      No, if the machine is well-maintained the electrical is normally pretty good in the “newer” machines. If you’re going out tomorrow bring some jumper cables as the batteries often fail very suddenly and then you’re in trouble. Good luck.

      Hey guys did my diagnostics as per the manual and the charging system is all good. Cleaned off all my grounds and found the starter battery wire was not tight nothing to do with the battery light on just looking things over since I am in here checking things out. And I believe you are right the battery is the issue. The battery light will go out if I let the machine run for a minute. Thanks from one technician to another thanks for the advice to get me in the right direction. With Car get to run while I diagnose them. A little different with the sea doo can’t run for very long on the driveway. You guys are the best!! hope I can help you guys out one day.

    I rebuilt a seadoo 2002 gtx 4 tec engine that had was locked up since it was sitting for at least a decade. I recently started it up and it ran smoothly although the coolant and oil mixed together within 3 minutes. Like the oil in the engine disappeared immediately as I checked the dipstick and their was no oil. I couldn't imagine the head gasket be the problem and my next idea is that is is the oil radiator. Would you also believe that this could be the problem? Thank you.

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  Рік тому

      I agree. It could also be the water pump seal, though. It’s hard to say which is most likely in your machine. Good luck.

    • @monique3339
      @monique3339 Рік тому

      I just replaced the oil radiator. I took out the oil filter and noticed some coolant. Do you think I need to pump out coolant that could be sitting in the bottom block of my jetski?

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  Рік тому

      yes, whenever there is water or coolant in the engine, we always do at least two oil changes after to get the water out. You can use cheap oil for the stuff you’re going to pump out right away though.

    • @monique3339
      @monique3339 Рік тому

      @@3ftDeepChannel Thank you for confirming my suspicion. No coolant or oil is mixing or exiting through any ports from what I can see. Although either because the jetski is out of water or their is a problem, it constantly beeps. I haven't taken it out on the water yet, but when I run it on my hose it beeps constantly. Does this mean overheating which is what I am presuming since it happens after 40 seconds after I wait for it to cool down. Also when you plug a key into a seadoo without turning it on and it beeps twice every 5 seconds does this mean low fuel? Thank you for all the informative videos and my questions may be stupid as their is beep code meanings on these online. They are just confusing to me. Thank you!

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  Рік тому

      If it’s beeping all the time it should also be showing an error code. If it doesn’t show it on the display while it’s beeping, I suggest you look at the Owners Manual for your machine and see how to check the codes. It’s a series of button presses. That will give you a better idea of what’s going on.
