50-40-30-20-10.... Wait for it.... What??? No BLAM, shake, shudder, rumble? Instead a sweet, no drama touchdown. Glorious!.
Turbulent approach my foot! Wrong title.
I love pilots who take command!! It means if AP is doing weird things they are in charge, building confidence & team work + vibrant cockpits with humor & professionalism
Flying manual and raw instruments in choppy conditions and a peach of a landing. Respect sir!
Nope. Armature hour. Kicking off the A/P doubles the workload for both pilots - especially in the arrival environment. If you need to "practice" at this point in your career, I'm very concerned. There's plenty of time for proving your aviation prowess during the visual approach when it matters most. The arrival sequencing is not the time.
@@jirapatnamwong5087 LOL....Karen? Hardy. Hopefully one day you will learn the difference in whether you CAN do something and whether you SHOULD do something. Anyone can hand fly the entire leg, but I have the experience to know they shouldn't.
Pilots laughing, having a great time up on the flight deck. Slightest turbulence, and 7+ passengers in the back are bending the arm rests, praying out loud, downing their cocktails (or minis), and praying to be around for the next farmers market in brace position, waiting to be sucked out.
Were you on my last flight? Are you following me?
kcgunesq I wish, I love seeing people go bananas over not even real turbulence, just some wind.
@@cmm3338 I think I've ruined a few arm rests with the my death grip.
ETA: Turbulence only started bothering me after one particular flight. We fell enough, suddenly, that anything not strapped in hit the ceiling. There were broken glasses and a few banged heads. After that, I hate flying.
@@kcgunesq Always keep your seat belt on. You never know when you will hit clear air turbulence
@@austinformedude I am a big believer in doing so. I don't even wait. As soon as I am in the seat, belt goes on.
Hello everyone ! I'm sorry the the delay on this video. I've been very busy during the lockdown and I didn't have an editing computer for almost a month. I hope you enjoy this next one in the USA mission series :) From now on it shouldn't take this long for me to release a new video. Have a good day !
acbulgin2 It’s Flemish, so technically Dutch.
PilotMax Great job on being a pilot
good landing sir.
@PilotMax hey I think he said « you can expect 1 knot lull » at 2:00 which is a sudden wind decrease, the opposite of a gust :)
Love the cockpit sounds of a 737-800 and even the max. To me, there is no other aircraft with the distinct clicks, bells, air, trim, and warnings. It’s just such an amazing machine.
Pilots are legends! I admire them greatly.
That was a fine landing Max. Hats off.
LAN was where I started with NWA, 2001. Have been in MSP for 15 years, and on the precipice of retirement with DAL. Thanks for the trip back home!👌
Very skilled pilots...always great to watch !! Thank you !!
I’m very happy to see you again Max ! You nailed it pretty good approach, keep doing well !
Good energy management. Well flown approach and landing. Thanks for the video!
Bravo on the landing with that crazy low level windshear, it was very noticeable in the video....
much respect!!
Great landing! Was cool seeing you take control so early, bet that was fun!
A great example of correct communications between ATC and cockpit. Making sure that everything is clear and understood. No guessing. Very professional flight crew.
Stay safe out there! Thank you for being out there!
This made my day - excellent landing, Sir👏🏻
FABULOUS video! Anyone who is scared of turbulence especially during approach and landing should watch this video and see that it's nothing to worry about.
Nice landing. The airplane was dancing like Elvis - great control!
Beautiful landing and great video, I love it. Thank you very much and greetings from South Africa.
Great video! This caught my attention because I don't live far from Lansing! Thanks for sharing this amazing video!
Incredible landing. Wow!
Nailed that landing! Great skills.
it was great landing, seems like really smooth. Loved it.
Excelent work, FO to become Captain, that's a magnificent landing with the 738!
1:28 This feels a whole lot different than my cosy flightsimulator. Respect Sir!

Nice to see some personality in these kind of videos!! Very nice
Beautiful view nice smooth landing despite the turbulence.😊👍
I use to do these flights for Apple Vacation, good times. I learned to fly at Lansing Community College, so it was great to come full circle and fly the 737-800 in and out everyday.
Anyhow, we are watching TUI flying on behalf of Miami Air (Biscayne), for a contract with Apple Vacations.
This one is just awesome, Sir!!!
Another nice landing well done
Great landing. Butter!
Nice approach and landing, a lot of jokes and good attitude!!👍🙂✈

you butter it broo....well done!
Nice smooth landing.
It's fun to sit on the patio at Reno's (8:05 just off the nose) and watch the flights come in. Not as much fun as Maho Beach, but still enjoyable! :) Thanks for sharing your excellent landing!
Great video. ✈
I'm not sure by the camera but looked like a very beautiful landing as the last 10ft was long and smooth
This guy makes it look so easy...
I've watched hundreds and hundreds of these videos, but this was fascinating for some reason. Thank you and sub'd! WN MX
Hell yeah some raw data flying on UA-cam, too many videos with mda disconnection! Thank you sir, great skills
Glad to know you still have a job, we'll pray for you when the 8200 returns to the skies.
Prachtig gevlogen!
Nice landing...
Super Video
The Best 👍👍👍
PAX: OMG HALP! SEVERE TUBULENCE! GOD HALP! Pilots: Wheee ^^
Wow ! I hope one day to be at the same place into the sky like you and why not become teammates at TUI Passionate about this work, I’m inspired about you keep going you are great !
Butter! Respect jongens mooie landing
Awesome to see manual descent and landing from 10000ft ..managed well and off course landing was greased amazing!!!!💯👍🧈🛬🛬
Nice landing
perfect
I love flying but I can’t cope with turbulence i scares me to death but what a great landing
The turbulence can be noted in the 'selfie' view by body movement...the large swings of the aircraft show the larger movements, but i can clearly see the ' 'chop' by your head and shoulder movement.. and a *lot* of yoke movement ;-) must have been "fun" in the cabin !
Smooth
Greased it. Perfect.
Biscayne6001 thats awsome, greetings from WMKK
Cute pilot
If you are annoyed by all the computers and autopilots just switch off the autopilot on FL160😂I like it!
Saaaweeet landing.
Made it look easy huh ?? That's why they're professional. 👍
Iam new to your channel i just sub this is so good thanks
hello from Ukraine! very cool videos! Thanks!
5:00 that happened to me recently, I’m a student by the way! I was on a stage check flight coming back to our home airport. Approach passed me on to a different approach frequency. I dialed it in but forgot to hit the button to get it in from standby to active. I ended up checking in to the same approach frequency by accident and the controller just casually gave me the new frequency again
Would love to see you flying Airbus ;)
ATC tower “good luck...” lol 😂
Eeeyy wat een aangename verrassing 😂
I always chuckle a little when I hear European operators not used to flying in North America double check landing clearance or be surprised because they were given it 25+ miles out. I also chuckle when I hear US operators not used to flying in Europe get nervous when they're on a 3 mile final without clearance to land, just "continue". It's all "normal" for those of us on whichever side, but for those not used to it, it can be kinda nerve wracking. Things like Visual Approaches much be a great bit of fun for you guys since those are basically unheard of in Commercial Aviation in Europe, but for us in North America, it's almost an insult to some to be given an instrument arrival procedure on such beautiful days like what you got there in Lansing (Yes, I said beautiful. 25+ knots in Lansing during Winter is not unusual, so it's part of the fun and beauty, not a "problem".)
I agree with you :) But visual approaches are not unheard of in Europe. We're flying a lot of holiday destinations around the Mediterranean sea and we get a lot of opportunities for visual approaches, we love that ! On big international airports however, that's another story :)
"Somebody" missed their first landing clearance.
Nice touch on the "blocks" though.
Was surprised tower didn’t come back with repeat of clearance as it was never read back by the pilot.
whaaaat?????it is very strong ILS omg 50nm
I could only imagine the gut feelings of the folks all the way in the back. The cheap seats.
❤
4:08 is why you're here!
NYC pilot bieutiful
Capital region airport elevation is 860 if i recall, and you guys landed at 750 amsl. Not that it matters, but you had a bad altimeter.
Great video as always tho :D
It is odd. Baro was set too 3013. Is what it is.
I'm giving a thumbs up, just because you had to fly into Lansing.
Salut Max content de te revoir. Smooth landing captn. A très vite
Ps: j ai une question. Pourquoi mettre le flight director sur Off stp.
Merci
Stay safe.
Wonderful flying pilot max how many hours do you have on the 737?
Very smooth landing, what airline do you fly for?
Hai max...love u smile...
Finally, a video showing airline pilots being aviators, not A/P commanders hahaha
