Man is finite, so our understanding/knowledge is finite.
Only Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is All knowing.
It's disingenuous to post only half the Quran verse (17:85) to make a point. Context is important.
Man's understanding is finite but we have understand of many things.
Buy the spirit/soul we have very little knowledge of that.
Qur'an 17:85. And they ask you about the Spirit. Say, “The Spirit belongs to the domain of my Lord; and you were given only little knowledge.”

The Quran has several scientific pointers like this verse : " The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it. " Quran 21 : 104

It's so easy to turn this around against NDT.

Even with all the shortcomings of science, it's still better than religion.
Religions told us that thunder was caused by angry gods. They were wrong. Science learned the true answer......it caused naturally, not supernaturally.

This The Creator created everything embedding laws within the creation. Taking the Universe as an example the Creator embedded the laws for its workings and asked Man to research. Learning the laws and their workings we call it Science. Science is merely a tool that can utilized to analyze the physical things and not the metaphysical. Subhanallah!
Allah states to look at the heavens and see if u find any errors or imperfections within their makings. Quran states it again to look at the heavens for imperfections and both times it also states that our vision analyzing it will come with zero faults.
Quran also says that the birds fly spreading and closing wings. Nothing keeps them afloat except Allah. Intellect minds need to think and ponder doung continuous research. So science is merely a tool to discover and understand the laws embedded by Allah within his creation for its working. Simple! Period! Peace!
But you would have to demonstrate that your metaphysical is actually correct.
For example: It's logical that a dog that jumped to the moon and back would have moon dust on his paws. It's logical......but we have no way of knowing if it's true or not. We would have to demonstrate that it is.

The point of this statement is that IF a dog jumped to the moon it would have moondust on its paws. the point IS NOT to prove that the dog ACTUALLY JUMPED TO THE MOON. So this is a misrepresentative example and your point doesnt work. Be ashamed
We don't say that science is the only way......we just point out that science is the best way.
That's a bold claim. The science we know today can be disproven tomorrow and turned into a different science. It's way too volatile to claim its the best way.

It's not a problem that science cannot explain consciousness. Let's look at an example: In ancient times, science couldn't explain the cause of thunder. So religions told us thunder was due to angry gods. Science proved this is wrong and thunder is created naturally; not by a god. So we can see that just because science cannot explain something, doesn't mean it's supernatural.
Likewise, just because science can't explain consciousness, doesn't mean it's supernatural. Pretending it is supernatural, just because science cannot explain it.....will get your beliefs in trouble when science DOES learn of the cause of consciousness.
Under the foundations of science it isn’t capable of come to conclusions about the unseen. Therefore, it NEVER will reach those conclusions, despite its utility and benefits.
