    Those dang rain storms lol but what an amazing trip. Love going back and watching these. Also, that log was much harder to cross with all that gear on

      Such a sweet place. Aside from Ragbrai, this is the next adventure thing we should do. Backpack places.

    where did you park whilst you were backpacking? was it secure? i would like to do what you did but need a place to put my van that is secure any suggestions?

      So the tribe has parking at the trail start. However it fills up and most have to park on the road. We saw vans on the road as well. We were nervous about break ins but fortunate nothing happened while we were there except mice got into the back of our truck bed.
      I imagine some people rent a rental car?
