@@noobplayz4720 its a backstory of him meeting Muzan cause throughout his childhood he was a dull child and as he grows up he better understand why he is different than anyone else in the world and when he meet Muzan, he knows why he is born to be such a prodigy or even the strongest human being it was his destiny to end Muzan but yet he failed in the end his brother corrupted, being exiled for his brother decisions and failure to end Muzan and he goes back to an old friend's family and that is the Kamodo's, from that day on staying with them for short awhile and showing his breathing techniques and dances he does, then when he said he will departure but his friend knew he will not ever come back again so he screamed out to Yoriichi, he will pass down his teachings and traditions to his descendants, as Yoriichi smiled in slight tear he gave his earrings to his friend (a blessing ornament that Yoriichi's mother gave to him) soon he departures. Later as an old man he meets his demonized brother and said "I'm so sorry" and he soon almost end his brother in a slash but he stopped, standing there with no movement, his brother who would've died if he took another slash then observe that Yoriichi died standing from old age, in a fit of rage and jealousy of Yoriichi strength and being a prodigy he sliced him in half, then he saw the flute he made for his brother and he cried as all the rage he had is gone and left with a bitter sweet feeling. I took Yoriichi's Theme from episode 6 and gave it my Epic Touch! Also included his theme played during Muzan's flashback of Yoriichi during S1! His theme is a variation of Kamado Tanjiro no Uta which is quite nice.

I do recall that Yoruichi was not an ancestor by blood, but I consider him one since they share memories, and the Manga implies that memory is passed down by blood. So in some ways they are related. They have the same marks, they have the same hair, so on so forth. Forgive me for the spoilers in the edit. He himself said the flute he gave to Yoriichi had no value and that it was a Piece of junk but when he saw Yoriichi still had it he kept it for centuries. I love that despite being a powerful, gifted human being, a monster in his craft and being op, he stays as a soft hearted person who are loved by animals, loves and loved by children and respected by anyone wherever he go. It's kinda sad that we could only see him through Sumiyoshi's and Kokushibou's memories since Yoriichi is long dead hundreds of years ago. Yoriichi best boi. :((
you know, we will probably get amazing filler dedicated to yoriichis backstory, i think the thing with us manga readers is that we forget that we will see much more in the anime due to extras and more detailing in backstories etc

Imagine being too strong that you are even scared of your own potential. This guy's just the real definition of a true demon slayer. Demons are human's nightmare but in Yoriichi's case, He's the nightmare of all demons.
Yorichii the man who accepted criticism from the slayers he trained and improved their fighting techniques. I hope Yorichii gets a lot of screen time in Michikatsu's backstory :)

i love yoriichi so much.. despite him being the strongest demon hunter, he's so kind, humble and calm. just merely seeing him makes me feel at peace. he is also my comfort character❤️

When Yorichi's story gets animate it will be legendary. There are so many epic moment in the whole manga, not just with Yorichi but also with the others character that Iam pretty sure this is and will continue to be one of the most spectacular anime ever created.
yoriichis not tanjirous ancestor, hes a old family friend of his family, im guessing the kamados took him in at some point, he entrusted his earrings to them and yoriichi unknowngly entrusted the sun breathing technique, as the kamados hinokami kagura dance had similar movements to it, so the sun breathing technique past down the line until it reached tanjirou

Thing l love most about Yoriichi is how humble and unaware he was of his own potential and impact. While the world considered him a legend , hero and a power house he only thought of himself as a failure in life coz he failed to protect his wife and unborn child from demon . He couldnt stop his brother from going down a demonic path. Most of all he couldnt kill Muzan in his lifetime and end the threat to mankind. To him, his power and capabilities meant nothing if it was of no use to the people he cared about. Something he has in common with Itcachi Uchhiha of Naruto. Both these character are my absolute favorite

Man, I mean Rengoku’s themes have like so much pride and honor and is awesome, but Yoriichi’s theme is just giving me this legendary scary vibe. No wonder Muzan has PTSD.
Anyone remembering or catching glimpses of this guy always has epic music along this vein, then when we actually flashback to Yoriichi in the flesh, it is the most peaceful and tranquil tune ever. It’s so humble 😭
The theme of yoriichi is legendary and the sun breathing is my favorite breathing style not to menction that sun breathing is the first one and base for all the others.
Basically, this guy had- The strength of Gyomei The flexibility of Mitsuri The dexterity of Tengen The wisdom of Rengoku The swordsmanship of Muichiro The knowledge of toxins like Shinobu The ruthlessness/care of Sanemi The ability to fight in confined spaces like Iguro The calmness of Tomioka The never-say-die attitude of Tanjiro The battle iq of Inosuke The perfection of Zenitsu No wonder Muzan had nothing to do except hide from him...

Edit: Thanks yall for clarifying 4 or 5 times that Yoruichi was not an ancestor of them. I read the Manga in a day, so I hope you can understand my simple mistake. I do recall that Yoruichi was not an ancestor by blood, but I consider him one since they share memories, and the Manga implies that memory is passed down by blood. So in some ways they are related. They have the same marks, they have the same hair, so on so forth.

I love that despite being a powerful, gifted human being, a monster in his craft and being op, he stays as a soft hearted person who are loved by animals, loves and loved by children and respected by anyone wherever he go.

yoriichis not tanjirous ancestor, hes a old family friend of his family, im guessing the kamados took him in at some point, he entrusted his earrings to them and yoriichi unknowngly entrusted the sun breathing technique, as the kamados hinokami kagura dance had similar movements to it, so the sun breathing technique past down the line until it reached tanjirou

Thing l love most about Yoriichi is how humble and unaware he was of his own potential and impact. While the world considered him a legend , hero and a power house he only thought of himself as a failure in life coz he failed to protect his wife and unborn child from demon . He couldnt stop his brother from going down a demonic path. Most of all he couldnt kill Muzan in his lifetime and end the threat to mankind. To him, his power and capabilities meant nothing if it was of no use to the people he cared about. Something he has in common with Itcachi Uchhiha of Naruto. Both these character are my absolute favorite
