Zenitsu is one of my favorite anime characters of all time. I know a lot of people find him grating but i just find him relatable. In a world filled with demons what’s more frightening then being insecure about your own abilities
I want to like him, but the fact that almost every single piece of dialogue he had was just literally screaming. It really put me off. You can write a character like him without him having to constantly scream lol. Hopefully he will be more bearable in season 2.
I initially hated him, but now I love him. Everything really changed for me when he decided to protect the box no matter what despite Ionouske (whom he literally thought was an actual monster) attacking him and knowing there was a demon inside it. I like how he has low self esteem and panic attacks but does actually try to help people. He’s just a great character.

Love this version sm. It exudes the notion of, "Hey, we gotta do this, if not us, who will?" Hence also the name zenitsu, zenith. Meaning: the time at which something is most powerful or successful.
None of the breathing effects are actually there, which means Zenitsu is vibrating the air and creating strikes as loud as thunder with his skill in martial arts. Badass.
The author did say that..but Tanjiro did cut a huge ass tree from afar by 'firing' the effect of water breathing's form 2 when fighting the spider father.

the thing i like about this is that at the very beginning if you havent listened to it before, you dont know what is going to happen. it starts out like many other pieces do, with a standard baseline that drives foreward. then it hits you with the violin background and you then realise that its gonna be epic

What people don’t understand about zenitsu, he’s mostly screaming in season 1, and afraid to fight, it’s funny yeah But to me, a character with flaws is only human. It means room for improvement and growth, and I definitely see him mastering more of his skills in the future seasons and movies… Honestly he looks so sick when he’s eyes are closed, and he reaches for his blade… I can’t wait for that scene when he unleashes a new form
