I'm like you, Robbie. It's "dangerous" for me to go into a store when there is a big sale. I, too, am easily distracted by items I didn't intend to buy. It's always fun when you take us shopping - I love "spending" your money!

Great planting. A few tips: I use the broken terra cotta pieces a few ways: in small pieces in the bottom of pots to partially cover drainage hole, I use the terra cotta shard pieces and stencil or write plant names in my herb garden. Also this is something I saw on another site and I am going to try…putting a plastic tray down (could be $Tree dish pan) and putting you container in and then when planting your new plant, any overflow dirt goes into the pan and you can reuse that soil. Less mess on your table too

You had me laughing… You know yourself too well when you saw the 75% clearance that you were in trouble 😅 I love, love those white pots, they are absolutely gorgeous. I didn’t know that the zz plant had those type tubers, learned something new today, thanks! You did great reporting all of the plants, they look beautiful 🤩

I feel you. My husband does everything he can to keep me away from anything Christmas or plants/pots related. I have zero self control. Never a regret as the beautiful items I find bring so much joy. Sometimes saved for future gifts. The new pots with plants look gorgeous!

Haha… I knew you would be in trouble when u entered that store. Luckily, my At Home store is a good hike for me so I don’t go often….and their stuff is not cheap unless you get a sale. With the broken container, create one of those little fairy gardens. Those can be super cute and it would also give you content.

Hi Robbie, Jean here from Oklahoma Panhandle USDA ZONE 6b. Keep your broken terracotta containers you can always use them in larger container if they are too deep that way you don't use a whole lot of soil, also terracotta holds moisture, thank you, have a great rest of the day. 🙂👋.

You have to go back to at home when they’re in their spring season. I always find really good discounted ceramic pods there. My at home gets a ridiculous amount of ceramic pots each year, like three isles full!

I can totally relate Robbie, I just went through the same at World Mkt 2 days ago. Most houseplants are fine with watering once a week. The plant on the mantle might need more H2O so close to heat.

I'm so glad it's not just me! I prefer pots without holes for the same reason - I can't keep them alive as easily. Terra cotta is my worst nightmare because it dries so fast. I have found a solution though. I paint the bottom half of the sides of the terra cotta pot and then it finally holds water long enough to work for me.

I love the wavy pots, they are gorgeous, I'm now trying to find dupes here in Australia, you've inspired me. The goldfish plant is really cute but I feel it hides the vase's wavy design, but still very cute Robbie. I'm like you, can't resist a bargain, especially xmas decor😂, Laura

Love the pots. When I find a pot I love, but it doesn't have drainage holes, I put about a 1/2 in or so of glass pebbles in the bottom and use a plastic liner with holes in the bottom for drainage. It works well for me.

I had two terracotta pots break, so i just put them inside each other and they made a good planter and looked neat. I am trying to get into house plants but I hate how fussy they are but I'm going to try your method of no drainage holes and see if that helps.
