but i want to crop it to 8x16 for tiktok.....you never mentioned HOW to set the ratio. I tried to set it, and the photo went to a tiny size

Explained it in simple words... Would you recommend cropping photos by resetting canvas size!! Or should we do that for other work?
Depends on the project. Personally if I was working on a project and I only needed a part of an image id use the selection tool to cut that part out but if I need the image resolution lowering or to only focus on the person then I'd fully crop it. You've got a very good point there, I wish I mentioned that in the video now haha

No problem and it sounds like your crop tool is set to a certain ratio. If you change it to "W x H x Resolution" it will allow you to freely move it

You can edit the toolbar at the bottom where the 3 dots are and bring it back if it's missing

You can press CTRL + R to get ruler then right click on it and change to centiermiters

You'd use a selection tool like the rectangular selection tool, create a selection of the area then click the mask button

@@v4led The hotkey for transformation controls is CTRL + T and personally I'd just crop it into another tab then add to your main project or just use masking tool
