I had Believers first three albums for a long time. Their second one is my favorite but they're all good. That first one is definitely a barn burner! "Stress" was a strange way to end that album. I definitely want to check out their 2nd album for sure but Dimensions is a bit too all over the place for me so far. It might gel with me after more listens though. Florida's heat was fucking relentless. That was one of the hottest weeks of my life down there. 90 in Ohio felt forgiving when I got back lol.

Man I miss Shitlife so much I got to see them a couple times with Battlecross and they were genuinely the best detroit grindcore band Ive ever heard. Great haul brother🤘

I have Cenotaph and that's a killer album though I prefer Daniel's work in The Chasm more. That band is insanely good. Sanity Obscure is the bridge between those two Believer albums for sure. You can't listen to this band without properly checking that one out. It was in a way their break through album having been released on Roadrunner records which gained them a lot of recognition they otherwise wouldn't have had. It was advertised along with many other R/C releases of the day including the album on your t-shirt. I grew up listening to those first two albums along with many others. Cool stuff, I always sort of considered them the Christian answer to Voivod.

The jump between the debut an Dimensions is quite huge so I'm curious how much of an intermediate step the 2nd album is between the 2. I really dig the debut but Dimensions, while impressive, really feels scattered in comparison. Hopefully they have a reissue for the 2nd album out there like they did for these 2. I can definitely hear some Voivod-ish influence in their sound but (ironically) I got a lot of Atheist as well in there. Either way, pretty solid stuff from this band.

I just got Edge of Sanity's Purgatory Afterglow on CD and I also just ordered Anaal Nathrakh's the Codex Necro which I should be getting next week. Amazing choices with Black Tusk, Extol, and Upon Stone.

Love the new Upon Stone album too! Only issue I had was it was too short
