Just to clear it up for some , Roy Keane was the one who gave Henderson his premier league debut and played him in nearly every game at Sunderland when he was manager . He is one of the reasons hendrson is the captain he is today .

That's not my impression working on academy level. The regimen for today's young players is ten times more meticulous than in the "good old days". Follow the nutrition plan, monitor your sleep, no alcohol - period, upload your pulse/training data every day during off-season, the HIIT training during preseason, all players match data analyzed on individual level, your position/game plan in relation to the next opponent consists of a Bible of patterns and rotations. If you don't deliver measurable improvements, you're out. Players like Gascoigne, Adriano, Balotelli would have been weeded out at an early stage. Hazard is another example of a player who do not have the discipline. Hell, even Christiano Ronaldo failed to deliver according to the plan.
