The look of "YOU DAMN BASTARD YOU TOOK EVERYTHIN AWAY FROM ME MY FUTURE WIFE AND MY FUTURE SON!"Yes i'm one of those people that agrees with the idea of Vincent actually being Sephiroth's real father and he is both here avenging his what could have been his son and the woman who could have been his wife,i want to think that in some way Vincent actually cared for Sephy and having to kill his possible son just probably broke him inside,and i think he did wanna take revenge for Sephiroth and not just for Lucrecia but for Sephy too,but he came a lil too late cus he encounters Hojo as an already dead man. (These are just my own thoughts and opinions though.)
DoC was my introduction to FF7 as an 8 year old. I beat it, and it was timeless. I beat it in a weekend and had to return it to the rental store (some real deal relic shit) and never played again. Until today on ps2 emulator... now I'm in love all over again and the soundtrack GRIPPED me.
ff7 is definitely the most unique ff entry to have its own compilation series and such an engrossing world, hope we get to see this vincent in the next remake part
I have a Question. Hojo is gone in the Final Battle after Nero joined Weiss to get strong enough to Control Omega. Does that mean the Final Villain is actual Weiss without Hojo, yeah right
I still have the theory that the Games Secret Ending is responsible for the FFVII Remake Trilogy. I think Weiss and Genesis brought somehow Sephiroth back to live and travelled back in Time. That explains at least why Deepground acting now so early because in this Time Weiss cannot be evil because Hojo is alive and didn’t possessed Weiss his body yet. So this Weiss could be that Weiss who traveled back in time . That’s why we already saw and fight Advent Children Sephiroth so…in Rebirth we probably also see Genesis that is why now we have Crisis Core Réunion.
DoC needs to get stripped for its deepground assets to be used at some point in the remake. discard the rest, including Chaos vs Omega no need for anyone approaching Cloud and Sephiroth's power levels. the only acceptable character would be Genesis, as he is in an extremely rare situation given his newfound clarity and a literal BLANK SLATE for what his character has been doing from 0002 - 0007 and beyond.

One example: One of the most interesting and non-linear characters of all FF7 is Rufus Shinra. in the game FF7 itself he is a villain, yes, but with Advent Children and then with DoC we get to see not only a deeper, but a redeemed Rufus who has switched sides and is funding Reeves Eco-projects without getting his name out because he knows: Shin-Ra = bad. And regarding your moronic "power-level" ... dude, the power-level of all FF-characters and monsters in every game is just outright ridiculous. Leave town? you are dead. with all those monsters roaming around, civilisation could never have worked. so please calm down and take this for what it is: a cool game - and you may decide for yourself if it is canon or not.
It was acrually really good for the time. This old UA-cam compression with them also compressing it in a personal folder(to save it) does not do the scenes justice. It also has to be compressed AT MINIMUM a 3rd time to add the subtitles and audio. It's extremely fried. Old video editors were not kind with compression and ruining quality. In the actual game, it's a little under Advent Children level of quality. Source: I'd replay the final boss JUST to watch the graphics in the credits, and the secret cutscene with Gackt/Genesis. Well over 20 times. I did not own the CD, and this was a fun way of listening to some Gackt while playing FF. Fond memories.

I know Dirge gets flack from people but honestly once you get the controls worked out and lvl some the game was great i really liked the stuff you could unlock in game.
DG soldiers were def in chapter 13 when cloud tifa and barret saw the hole and the whispers sent them back so they wouldn't find them I'm hoping genesis comes back same DG unless there's going to be a FF7-2

I know Dirge gets flack from people but honestly once you get the controls worked out and lvl some the game was great i really liked the stuff you could unlock in game.

DG soldiers were def in chapter 13 when cloud tifa and barret saw the hole and the whispers sent them back so they wouldn't find them I'm hoping genesis comes back same DG unless there's going to be a FF7-2
