If any of you have read my comments on 4K's videos, you will know I very much enjoy his channel and love the Dolphin Hotel, nearby Crescent Lake area, and Epcot. So, when I saw the notification for this video, I made sure it was first in line. We've stayed at the Dolphin 13 times, Swan once. As normal, well filmed and produced. A very good summary of this area in the time allowed. For this one, I have two 4K Moments (awards): 1. Indoor - at 4:40, a great view of this wonderful and beautiful lobby. Liked the way he started with the "chandelier" then panned down to the fountain and the rest of the lobby. 2. Otrdoor - at 15:13, enjoyed the showing of the Dolphin Hotel plus seeing a friendship boat coming in. The boat's engine "whine" + horn reminds me much of the great times spent here. Thanks 4K!
I thought of you when going to film this one, and am very glad you liked it! If it wasn’t for the incoming storm, I definitely would’ve filmed more but I’ll get the chance again eventually. Thank you so much as always Ken😃
I was trying to decide where to watch the sunset tonight and this is where I kept thinking about. 💜 Isn’t it awesome to have so many choices that are all ridiculously gorgeous!!!! I feel so lucky… even tho mid day feels like the surface of the sun right now! 😂
🐬🦢Both are viable close options to stay at on vacay. That's the most I've ever seen of the🦢 Swan, thx for showing the gift shop & I've heard good things ($$$) about Shula's'. Been to? As cool as it was, the walking wide angle left me feeling somewhat unsettled🤢So much construction there too but they don't have a "Viva La Vane" moment. (🥰New screensaver😘)Thx for your kindness & sharing💜
Hi Liz. We went to Shula's once right after I retired (Spring, 2018). Service and food was good. We each got a salad and side, and shared the cowboy rib eye. Concur about the price, deluxe hotel for moderate price. What is "viva La Vane"?
@@kenwbrenner I appreciate finding out what others think of certain places, thank you. Never know if a reservation pops up if nearby. I was having fun with a comparison of the construction here and Splash Mtn when I ask 4K at nauseum if the Weather Vane is still in place. He goes enough to Tiana's/Splash construction & is kind enough to put up with my asking to keep track of it. As of last video, it's still there....for now😜😜Thanks for asking
I’ve never eaten at any of the restaurants here, but have heard positive things of Shula’s and Il Mulino! Sorry about that wide angle shot, i rarely walk with it so I’ll make sure to limit that lol. Glad you liked the vane pic, what a surprise that was! It’s always my pleasure 😊
Fascinating hotels; the result of Eisner deciding that the park was losing too much business in the high end convention hotel market. Both hotels were designed by Michael Graves. The Swan opened on January 13, 1990, as part of a joint venture between the Walt Disney Company, Tishman Hotel Corporation, MetLife and Starwood Hotels and Resorts, which was merged into Marriott International in 2019. The land the resort occupies is owned by the Walt Disney Company and leased on a 99-year term to the Tishman Hotel Corporation and MetLife who own the buildings and contract the operation to Marriott International under the Westin Hotels & Resorts brand. For the luxury and location, this is the best Non-Disney hotel inside the bubble; The Bonnet Creek area is another collection. But does not have such easy access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Compared to Disney's deluxe and DVC properties, the Swan and Dolphin are relative bargains, and because of their ownership and location they enjoy Disney's bus and boat service. My brother, his other and son recently stayed at the Dolphin; had nothing but very good things to say. Some Pricy, Pricy restaurants though. If you want to compare and see the accommodations, their website is outside the usual Disney site: swandolphin.com/
@@jon.stan31 OOOOOOPS. Sorry, you're correct on this. Trusted my bro who told me there wasn't; weird, actually, when other "Good Neighbor" hotels in the area, like the new Drury near Disney Springs, don't have resort fees. I have amended my post. And my freakout; but I genuinely hate all the extra fees.
@@jon.stan31 Yeah, I'm really glad they're going to stop with the parking fee stuff. For what a room at Disney costs, hitting you for more is annoying. Last time we went we paid 150$ for a week stay. On top of the $2600 for the room. That was at 40% off. Ouch. We had a one bedroom at Old Key; GORGEOUS room, HUGE, but no way to get anywhere but bus service, only one restaurant, and very large. We were near the store and lobby and pool, but the place has five bus stops, and it's a long long walk to look around the whole place. We're actually considering the campgrounds next time; cook our own food most of the time, and a lot less expensive. PISSED over what they did to one of the best restaurants in Disney, though. Trail's End was perfect as it was, but they just had to mess with it.

Have stayed at both, very enjoyable though I think I like the Dolphin a little better..lol Fantastic vid as usual 4K.
I’d say I’m more of a Dolphin guy myself! Swan’s lobby is much less impressive but still very nice. Thanks Andrew!!
This hotel is so relaxing to be at. Gotta give credit to the grounds keepers for their upkeep on its beauty.
Fantastic as always and GREAT MEMORIES. T&M LINY

For sure, so many phenomenal options!! Oh yea, 2pm - 5pm literally feels like 400 degrees right now😂
THANKS so much for the update...I spotted the construction on your last video and was curious...
No problem! Not sure how long the work will last, but definitely through the summer it seems!

Obsessed!!!!
What a great tour the setup for dolphin and Swan was beautiful and the Fountain of the lobby was so cool it's so hard to choose which side you prefer
Can’t wait till your future video of your stay there. 😃👏🍿
Great videos as always, I think these resorts are very overlooked and underrated
Thanks so much Jen! I agree, these resorts are deluxe style but much cheaper than the Disney owned deluxe resorts!
I’m not familiar with these resorts but this was a lovely look at them. The area around them is pretty awesome too 😊

cool info thx
They definitely have a resort fee. It’s about $40 a night. I just stayed here last week.

@@danielvandersall6756 I totally agree. I think it’s crazy to charge guests a daily fee to use hotel amenities.

First!
Wow, the Swan/Dolphin has changed since we honeymooned there (back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth! 🤣) 20ish years ago!
