- Reassembling the NV3500 transmission in my 1997 Chevy Blazer.
Parts Replaced:
(1) Synchro Sleeve: USA STANDARD GEAR ZMGET29015
(1) Reverse Gear: GM 12545778 Reverse Gear 38T
(1) Reverse idler Bearing: DT Components ZN1121
(2) Countershaft gear bearings: ACDELCO 8677696
(1) Input shaft: USA STANDARD GEAR ZMGET29016C
(1) Input shaft bearing: ACDELCO 12544738
(1) Input shaft seal: GM GENUINE 23049814
(1) Shift shaft plunger detent plug: ACDELCO 23049887
(1) Clutch slave cylinder: LUK LSC265B
(1) Rear transmission seal: NATIONAL 4532N
Fluids in transmission: ACDELCO 104006 (bought three quarts, but only filled until it comes out of fill hole. Do not overfill!)
Fluids in Transfer Case: ACDELCO 109394 (bought three quarts, but only filled until it comes out of fill hole. Do not overfill!)
Gasket Maker: Permatex Ultra Black
Prepping the main shaft - 00:07
Reverse Idler bearing install - 04:26
Prepping the casings - 08:26
Installing rear half of transmission - 09:56
Driving in the dowel pins - 13:55
Installing the shift rail - 15:23
Installing front half of transmission - 18:13
Installing front bearing retainer and seal - 22:13
Finishing up - 27:36
