For live stages the 945 is low spill/low feedback, exaggerated clarity and controllable/clear proximity and like you said it sounds best close up (where you want to be on a crowded or loud stage). Cuts through the mix well from the get go which saves precious time for the mix engineer to adjust the background instruments. Also the 945 is a great choice for beatboxers, who cup the mic in various ways to get different effects. In the event of having to mix a few artists on a stage in the same night, the 945 would be a safer bet than the 88 with the plosives it causes until you are familiar with how to use it.
If you get a chance to test the Beyerdynamic Opus 69 microphone, do it. This supercardioid microphone has a very natural frequency response and tone and is also very cheap.
You have some great reviews, but it would really really really helped have somebody that was singing with each microphone you don’t like a clip so I could hear it besides just your humming and whistling and clicking
Yo Doc, I sing in reveiews but not comparisons - makes it too long. If you go to my Covers playlist, I use the mics there on songs I like, so you can get an idea.

Great comparison as usual. I'm glad you're going back to older mics. Why is the subtitle function disabled?
Please review AKG C7 🙏🏽
