Hi, I would recommend to start with the Dog Hide N Slide who has no removable parts and you can make it both easier and little more challenging, and as always with puppies and sharp teeth, supervise and show how the puzzle works.
Do you leave plastic in the middle ?!
Yes, it separates the lower and upper part of the labyrinth.
I bought this for my dog last night and gave it to him a few minutes ago… he broke it 😩😩
Thank you for contacting us. I´m sorry to hear that the toy has been damage. Did he chew on it, or what happend. The Treat Maze is very resistant to hard pushes by paws but is more sensitive to chewing.

Nina Ottosson puzzle games by Outward Hound are developed for and have focus on challenging the dog’s brain. They are not like chew toys or other toys. We inform on packaging that it is important to supervise the dog and don´t let them bite or chew on the puzzle. The dog owner has to supervise when playing, teach the dog how to use the puzzle.
Since the puzzles contain food or treats, we recommend to supervise the dog closely, so he does not try to cheat by bite or chew his way to the treats, which we also inform about on the packaging.
Puzzles for dogs are like cross-word and Sudoku for us, we need to understand the rules of the game, how to solve it, or get help, especially if we try a more difficult version, if we don't understand, we get frustrated and give up, dogs instead start to chew and come up with their own solutions to find the treats, which is natural then for a dog, so we need to show and teach the dog how to play so the dog understands the concept and how to play to find the treats. is their a way to open it if bigger treats are stuck inside
It can not be disassembled, the maze tracks are larger than the openings, so it is almost impossible to put in too large pieces, but if it happens, I recommend that you put it in hot water with soap until the large pieces have become soft or dissolved, then you rinse it with hot water through the openings until the pieces come out.
Is it light enough that a rat could flip it? My rats love your toys, especially the casino and the balancing spinning one, but I am not sure about if this one would be solvable by such a small animal.
I’ve been trying to take the plastic thing in the middle I can’t open it 😩😭 tried to cut it with scissors it’s impossible
I'm sorry to say that the plastic part in the middle should not be removed, it divides the Maze into an upper and lower part, and the Maze should not be taken apart. You can try and pull it apart with a lot of force, because you need to remove the cut plastic, and then try to put it back together, I hope this works.
How do you clean this please?
I put it in warm water with a little soap for a while, then I flush it through all the openings with warm water.
