Very nicely put together video extremely informative like a sense of humor but then I’m British as well so I recognize a jolly good entertainment keep up the good work!
Not only an excellent review but the look and feel of this video is on another level. Loving the colour contrast and yet you and the product are still the focus of it all. I may take influence from this for some future filming 😁
The backup recording fnction of Rode has saved me twice already. I don't record often and when I do, I have a lot to remember setting everything up. So, last time I accidentally plugged the audio to the headphones port on the camera instead of rec in. And because the camera also has a mic, I did not know it actually didn't receive the audio from Rode tranceiver. How happy I was when I could still get the 1.5 h recordings while the camera had recorded just the signal of the onboard mic! :)
I'd be interested in how other lavs would sound with them. Felt a little let down when that was plugged in. If I was only going to use for sat down pieces, it would probably be a contender. But for run and gun, I'm with you. Definitely sticking with the Rodes, even despite the price difference. No amount of money can get you back that lost audio. Cracking review as always bud. 👍🏻
I really liked the video you made on Godox M2. I am planning to buy one since it's value for money but I saw an other video in which he says that it lags 50 milliseconds to sync with actual video. I really don't want to break my head in post production to sync Audi and video so can you please check if any issues really persistent
Hi Chris, I´m thinking about buying this set-up. I´m just getting into video recording with my DSLR - just for creating memories with my family - so I don't really need top-of-the-range performance. I´m also looking at the Synco W air as an alternative.
Nice! Decent sound quality at a much lower price... the internal audio recording of the Rode is definitely worth the extra money though. Still, it's awesome that these things are becoming more accessible to more people. Great vid. Great beard.

Aww thanks so much mate. I’ve been working really hard on the setup this week and I’m really happy with how it turned out! Glad it was worth it 😀

I have the rode 1 but would like to get a 2 receiver system and this sounds real value for money. Thanks Chris, great review.

That's is a very good point, Dilip. Can you tell us a bit more about this, Chris?

I own other products manufactured by Godox and, I must say, I'm pretty happy with them.
Looks good!

Haha totally agree on all points 😘
