Seriously, don't sleep on these mics! After watching this video I found a deal on the full set for only $50 because the mk2 version had just released. They are fantastic. Makes shooting live events a breeze because I can just hand a transmitter to the audio guy, he plugs that straight into the board, and I get ambient audio from the one on my camera. Works flawlessly if you don't need massive range. And unlike most competitors, they also work with the insta360 invisible mic mount! Just be wary of locations like concerts where a lot of wireless mics are being used.
Thanks for your review. I have this set and carry it as a back up. The receiver has a headphone port which is so important. It's a good thing that you mentioned such an important feature which is. normally ignored in most reviews. But it would be better to say that only Deity and Rode (in their arrogance I would say) don't have a headphone port on the receiver. Literally all wireless kits I've tried or just checked online do have a headphone port on the receiver: Picogear, Saramonic, Comica, Synco, Godox, Hollyland, DJI, Mackie, 7ryms.
Have others experienced dropped signals? I honestly don't see much need for 50m range, but if it is dropping out at even short distances of 10m or less, that would be a significant issue.
I had one other viewer say he liked the unit, but was getting dropped signals and had to return it. Are you getting drop outs? Or just asking if others are?
@@bradstoops8862 I have been super impressed with the unit, and have not had issues. I’m especially impressed with the audio out of the built in transmitter microphone.
I have the mic kit now and have used it a few times, with great results, with the transmitter & receiver in close proximity. I just went ahead and did a quick test with the receiver plugged into my computer in my first-floor home office. I walk outside and around the house and then across the street without any loss of signal despite quite a few obstacles (walls, fence, etc.). At about 50m, with my back to my house I finally lost the signal, but as soon as I turned around so that my body was no longer in between me and where my house was down the street, I had a good signal again. I don't have the Rode or Deity or similar wireless units for comparison, but given that my receiver was INSIDE my house with me 50m+ down the street, I am fairly impressed.
Have you tried connecting a 3.5mm to xlr cable from the receiver to a camcorder? I have a shoot where I will be using a Sony camcorder with full size xlr inputs, but the client has this mic system to use
@@markwiemels Thanks for replaying. I had it on stereo, but than the sound was only on one side. Since I didn't notice that while editing and didn't fix it in post the audio from this mic was sounding only in one earphone.
Hello Mark, I just ordered the Saramonic Blink 900 B2 at $299. I know the Blink 900 has the low pass cut off and the DK3 Lapel mics included are $99 each on their own. How does this compare the the Blink 900? Do I need to be canceling my order?
Looks like a great value for what you get. The wind muff alone has $200.00 worth of material on it. Good grief that's ridiculous. I think that thing can be used as a merkin.🤔
Every wireless system has some amount of latency, it’s a question of whether there is a noticeable amount of latency. This system performs well, and there is no noticeable latency, to my eyes.
Thanks dude! I'm gonna buy this today. Thanks for the review!
Great to hear!

Yo! This review was awesome! Thank you!
No worries! Thanks for saying so.
Can I use usb c to usb c cable directly to my camera, say DJI action 3?

@@markwiemels Asking of others. But I went ahead and ordered it and will give it a try.

My favorite part of this kit is the wind muff. I'm disappointed you didn't wear it in the video
I guess one of the designers at Godox couldn't have a troll doll as a kid. I was very close to putting eyes and a mouth on one for the thumbnail.
@@markwiemels Aw, man. That would have been too good
Great honest review mate
Thanks Darren.

tnx a lot, it was really handful. 🌹
Thanks, Mark.
You are very welcome.
Would love to hear this vs the Boya By-XM6 S2
Hi Mark, is its compatible out of the box with an iPhone? Can't get mine to work
Nice video thanks. One future I like is when this Things can record audio in the transmitter.
For sure.
If using only one transmitter, should I set it in stereo or mono mode?
I can’t recall, but I think mono.
@@markwiemels Thanks for replaying. I had it on stereo, but than the sound was only on one side. Since I didn't notice that while editing and didn't fix it in post the audio from this mic was sounding only in one earphone.
Yea, mono will make it the same on both sides then.
Does the receiver have the ability to record to SD card for back up audio? Nice Channel. Subscribed :-)
No, no recording function. Thanks.
I just bought this set up for £165 and got a free suction cup mount with light amazing deal on Amazon
Awsome.

I would stick with the Saramonic.

haha...yah, the muff is absurd!
Could you do more than 2 mics couples to the receivers? (say 6) thank you
No.
@@markwiemels thank you!
How is it compared to Comica x-d2 & Comica x-u2?
Haven’t tested those unfortunately, so not sure.
I had this set and loved it but eventually had to return because of rather frequent dropped audio :/
oh, that's a bummer. Was it in any specific situation or distance? I will keep an eye on mine and see if I get a similar problem, so far its been ok.
@@markwiemels i'm having a lot of cuts in the audio with them too. it happens all the time in a variety of scenarios
@ thanks for sharing this information.
sir, what db should i set for asmr videos like facial, haircut, massage etc? take love ❤️
Hard to to say, but I would target -12 to -6 db on your computers audio meters.
hi, is there any latency between audio and video?
thank you

@@markwiemels Thanks a lot Mark!
I just bought the movelink m2.i can feel the latency.can you feel that?
Hello.I'm using this mic now.but i found it has a little bit of latency which is annoying.can you check this issue?
I have not notice it in mine.
Sweet!
Thanks!
nice one
Has anyone tried this with an Insta360 x3?
Wearing a troll doll on your shirt🤣
It's a good look ;-)
Not a bad price at all especially for a dual wireless mic set up .
Yeah, that's what I thought too.
This is way over priced knowing that the transmitters don’t record.
What happened to your hair tho
Not sure, haven't look in the mirror in 9 years.
