Coronation Street actor Catherine Tyldesley reacts to 'bizarre' birthday cake row

- A former Coronation Street star has responded after being embroiled in a “bizarre” birthday cake row.
It was claimed earlier this week that management company NVRLND, hired to plan the 40th birthday party for the previously unnamed actor, requested free cakes in exchange for promotion on social media and in magazines.
It was then revealed by Daily Mail that the star in question was Coronation Street actor Catherine Tyldesley, who played Eva Price in the ITV soap from 2011 to 2018. She also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019.
Tyldesley addressed the viral emails in an Instagram post and said she is receiving “horrendous” abuse online, said that NVRLND had been “completely misrepresented in this matter”, calling the row “utterly bizarre”.

I believe she was involved and knew about the agency. Then she protects the agency as they pay her a substantial income. Then she has the audacity to say, "I hope the cake lady got the exposure she was craving". The only things exposed is 1 disingenuous and out-of-touch celeb, followed by a swindling event’s agency. Well done to the Bakery and to the people of Yorkshire all facing hard-times.
Of course she did. An influencer tried the same crap in a small hotel in dublin, but the owner of this place was known for calling people out and he shamed the girl who contacted him. Literally wanted an all inclusive stay for free, and he'd get an Instagram Post in return😂. These people are absolutely delusional.
Tbh, I couldn't even remember who she was, and when I did, I thought she'd retired.
Now she's got press knocking on her door and people know who she is - I think she needs to thank the cake lady for all this attention she's now getting cos no one was interested in her before!!!

She used to be a lardy……obviously starving herself so what does she want cakes for.
So basically she's having a fit because she didn't get a free cake, I've seen people saying she should pay for it like the rest of us, but problem is these celebs don't like paying, they like getting free stuff so they can do AD's just for money, she wanted that free cake so she could do an AD and get paid. It doesn't surprise me. I remember years ago she posted a product on insta and someone commented saying "AD?" she replied saying "no, this is a product I really like" proof that every product advertised don't actually work and they will do anything for money🤡
Its cringe, though, as she states she was not aware of an OK mag deal, so they've lied about the advertising. Tyldesley would know about it as she'd be getting paid by the magazine.

The only thing that seems bizarre here is this video. Clue to actress. It is entirely normal and proper for a business person to expect to be paid for their labour and expertise.
I need a handyman to do some jobs around the house. This repsonse has done herself no favours. The only correct repsonse is to go to the bakery pay for the cakes you want just like everyone else has to pay, then promote on her socials aswell.
