- Soap actress Catherine Tyldesley made headlines after she was accused of trying to blag free birthday cakes from a small bakery.
The PR company organising the party reached out to Rebecca Severs who owns the Three Little Birds bakery in West Yorkshire asking for two birthday cakes and 100 cupcakes in exchange for social media exposure.
Catherine Tyldesley posted on instagram insisting she knew nothing about the request and hit back at the bakery.
Cristo speaks with showbiz editor for The Sun on Sunday, Hannah Hope to discuss the story as well as news about S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole.
Is it fair to offer social media exposure as payment?
No.
Why didnt the bakery just say no thanks , they are as bad as influencers as they use social media to attack and get likes. A simple no thank you would have been suffice
@alanbraham3981 Stupidity comes natural to you, then! Jog on.
It’s fair to offer, just don’t get mardy when told to shove it.
@@alanbraham3981 bbc is paid for by the british public , u do undestand that dont you? Your question is one that seems to come from a person that does not have basic understanding of the funding around the BBC at all? Talk Tv is not paid for by the public so does not need to be impartial, this is very basic stuff mate . you are looking very silly here
even soap opera actors seem to think they are something these days. petty actors with huge self entitled egos but little ability
Amanda Abington was cancelled for nothing more than saying that she put biology first. she got cancelled for worrying about women. Shows you the world we live in.
An agent of one of the banjos tried the same thing with someone I know. He does lighting for events and they thought he’d do it free for one of the kid’s birthdays. He told them where to go.
She's trying to get back in the lime light with this, who the hell do these two bit actors/actresses think they are FFS 😅😅
Sadly S Club were royally ripped off, to be fair it’s scandalous they earned more or less nothing, they lined the pockets of managers and the record company.
Wow, she said the baker was ''craving attention'' but I do not know the baker's name, and the baker didn't reach out to Catherine, it was the other way around right.
She looks like she's doing an impression of Paul O'Grady (who would never have grifted as she has anyway!)
Embarrass them publicly
This has always been the case with manufactured pop groups.
The record executives, producers and songwriters get all the money and the artist gets a performers fee.
If you want to make money in the music world, you have to do everything yourself.
Start a record company, write your own music, and own your own publishing rights.
The major record labels are little more than parasites that suck the creativity and wealth out of musicians and then cast them aside.
Did Tyldesley just inadvertently throw her own team under the bus in her response? She said she’s not working the OK magazine that she’s aware of but in the email request they said the cakes would get exposure in OK , so either Tyldesley is wrong or the company attempted fraud in they’re grift
RIP Paul Cattermole
The cake company is not based in Manchester but Keighley
I worked as a checkout chick - when customers were rude to me I’d be merrily double scanning their items while they were sounding off - don’t get mad get even lol ( never had any feedback on whether anyone of them even noticed but it soothed my ruffled feathers)
On one hand people complain about celebrities earning massive amounts of money. Then on the other hand complain when they earn normal salaries like regular people…. Spoiler alert, lots people die broke and certainly most people who sadly die young, die broke. S Club 7 are like the shelf stackers of the music business, it’s actually refreshing they get paid a regular amount of money.
What on earth has happened to that poor womans face?
Minor celebs out here thinking they're Jennifer Lopez.
According to the S Club 7 interview they or Simon Fuller had 90 million in the bank
nonsense, it isn't the popstars that are being exploited, they have a good life doing it, it's actually the audiences that are being exploited and manipulated
Bet the record companies made more tho hey, disgusting. As for the so called celebrity, all that money they get paid and they can't afford to pay a bakery for their products, its down right rude and disgraceful, glad that bakery refused, i would have too. The actresses reply suggests she definitely knew about the situation with the cakes from that bakery, she's just trying to save her own arse.
The Texas woman’s second name is SPITeri 😋
Bring back Paula Yates bless her RIP x

Looks like cristo has had to much free food
Female presenter talks way too much !!!
shut up for a minit 👍
i really don't see the issue with tyldesley, loads of famous people get free gifts for wearing/using stuff, she only made a commercial offer to the bakery
strikes me it's the bakery looking for free publictity where it doesn't cost them a few cakes
Wrong it is entitled, selfish and greedy of Tyldesley.
@@lddixon2394 fair enough, but only if you consider virtually all media celebrities as selfish and greedy
who's cult are you in ?
@@MAGAted The cult of paying for your own stuff. They can all afford it. Why should they be different from anyone else who works for a living?
@@lddixon2394 so your saying every star that gets free stuff is guilty of the same thing
in which case i'm not to sure what your point is ?
Welding goggles on wtf
