It’s our Halloween special, so brace yourself for a spooktacular night of dance. The remaining 11 couples will be giving it their all in the ballroom to enchant the judges, and you at home, with some spellbinding routines. The standard of dance this series is so high it’s scary, and no-one wants to find themselves in the dreaded dance-off.

@@bessieburnet9816 I wouldn't limit it down to this year... I feel this happens very often through out All series. Especially Shirley is very hard to please there, she almost never votes in favor of the couple doing the Cha Cha (except the other couple is a real non dancer).
The Cha Cha curse has captured Vick Hope, Lee Ryan, and now Catherine!

Honestly, neither deserved to go, Chris should have been the one to be booted out.
The reason she went home was because her technique wasnt as good as mike. This was due to the fact that both mike and Catherine are generally better at ballroom. Mike had a dance he was somewhat comfortable with while Catherine wasn't. The judges vote on who did better in the dance off and in this particular scenario it was mike as his technique was cleaner and his dance looked more comfortable.

I love Johannes, I really do! But I really feel they are in the dance-off. I mean the technique wasn't quite there this week, I mean it was better than her Samba, in that she was into the dance more. But yeah unfortunately if she's in the dance-off I wouldn't be surprised. 6.5!

Samantha Allen poor kitty Davidson was extremely scared of the dark but didn’t put a lot of energy into this dance. She was always trying to sleep in her sisters bed when she was scared of the dark as a child in the bunk bed.
What a shame they didn’t do the Steps song justice!

This was a little undermarked, she could’ve done better but I still think some of the cha cha steps were flawless and I really did quite like it. Of course there were a couple mistakes but overall I really liked the concept and how it was perceived. 7.
I can see some elements of her Samba from week 2 and Rumba in this routine! Her Top line was rather good. Everything else didn't work unfortunately! Also felt a little bouncy and stompy for me. 7

I liked it but her technique was a bit off
I liked it. I mean, it wasn't great at first, but she really picked it up. Wasn't great, but let's be honest, 2019 is not the Cha Cha Cha year. It's not their worst dance, but it has been the worst dance for many couples (Chris and Karen, Alex and Neil, Saffron and AJ, Kelvin and Oti).

Will cannot be back on the stage due to his injury, CAN PLEASE Catherine and Johannes come back this week, PLEASE. They were great. It is supposed the judges vote to avoid unfair elimination, but last week, Mike was not the best dancer.
Catherine looked more scared of the routine than scared of the dark!! I don’t think latin and Catherine will ever be best of friends (other than the rumba). For me the main issue in all her Latin dances so far has been her arms throughout they are limp and she never fully extends them or places them to a point, which makes the dance look wobbly. However saying that it’s much better than her samba. 6/10

Catherine has the hip-action, she doesn't need to work on that. She now needs to work on her legs, footwork, styling. Her New Yorker hands were absolutely fantastic. In this dance at around (1:04) she showed she could be brilliant at Salsa with her basics. 7 from me.
Darling. I do love Johannes. And their section with the judges was amazing. Bruno is probably the fairest scorer out of the lot in this episode. Is their lifts in the cha cha? Not sure. I do like this dance and a 5 from Shirley is incredibly harsh. Overall, that was brilliant and undermarked by most of the judges and I will give it a 7.25/10

Cha Cha Cha is all about straightening of the legs and settling into the hips - it creates the heeded hip action and also enables the dancer to express and to show the rhythm of the music through his body. Unfortunately, Catherine danced most of the dance with both of her legs bent. There were a lot of technical errors and the only step that for me was danced pretty good was the Cuban break. I loved her musicality, she was really on the beat, she acted the dance fantastically, but there were a lot of errors regarding her footwork and her leg action. A 5.

I feel like it took a while for this routine to properly get started. She seemed very lax at the beginning. I will say though the energy definitely got better in the second half. I am docking a point for the lift though. (5)
He needs to calm his actions down a bit. He isn't making her look better, he is completely outshining her

No way she deserved to go over mike. I genuinely don’t know why the judges think that acceptable. Fair enough it wasn’t her best dance but her hard work and dedication is amazing and she has the potential to do great. Really disappointed with the result and even more annoyed that the bbc don’t allow a tie break to go to public. We are tax paying citizens and should get that right if itv give that to their viewers. Also why are the judges not saying anything to Katya who is constantly talking and giving mike instructions in the dances. Tonight’s was extremely obvsious. I love this show but the judging is ruining it for me

This wasn't Catherine's best dance but it was still fairly decent i'm a little frustrated because the potential is there i really hope if Catherine is back next week she has another breakthrough like she did in Week 3 overall i would score this a 7/10 don't understand the 5 from Shirley but whatever

She's never able to finish her lines on the faster dances. Her arms collapse into her body and go a bit "T-Rex". She can do it, I think she just gets overwhelmed.
Needs to work on her core strength so she looks in control when moving around and turning, legs and feet need more strength too.
She's quite good at grasping the feel of each dance, and has a decent sense of rhythm and performance though.

I think she really struggles in fast Latin dances and Cha Cha Cha is very difficult and I agreed with Craig that her upper half was very good but her lower half was dreadful

This had all the makings of a great routine, great song, great look, but sadly Catherine gave an altogether, to soft of a performance.It should have loads of attack but just lacking it unfortunately.

I love strictly but I can't stand the singers they use.
They do seem a little flat a lot of the time. Not that I could do any better, but then I'm not a professional singer
This fell flat in my opinion, could have been good and some bits were actually good. Her hips, her arms, her rythym etc but she made so many timing and footwork mistakes sadly. It wasn't on the ball of the feet at all, the musicality wasn't there but the Salsa bits were there and the new yorker was very good on a positive. Wish she lived up to her Rumba again. * 6/10* not her best
Poor music choice and lacklustre performance. There is no umph.....she is walking through it, shame really.
