    I laugh at the people who underestimate Liam’s ability, if he can even show half of what he’s shown in Super Formula or DTM in F1, he will have a very good career.

    I saw the Lawson interview in Taupo yesterday. I think Cam you are making "much a do about nothing"? He was humorous, realistic, humble, and self effacing and in his other interviews very gracious and conscious of the support from lots of generous people. He has made it clear that this year is development, but also that RB have made it clear by the end of the year he needs to be "there or there abouts", yet so many people still climbing into Liam? I don't get it?

    Not sure what you want Liam to say, you expect him to say he wants to be Maxs whipping boy for the rest of his career? He clearly isn't Bottas and actually has some ambitions of his own, as he gains the experience to do so. Everyone seems to have selective memory, Max wasn't the number 1 driver at Red Bull until his 4th F1 season. Give Liam some time and he can demonstrate what he can do on track.

      Max was in f1 at 16. By 18 he won his first match. By 20 he's been the undisputed number 1. It's not the same as liams journey

    • @D-Marie0970
      @D-Marie0970 3 дні тому +1

      @@Greatgoku4 F1 isnt about age, its about ability to get results. It still took Max until his 4th season to be #1 driver, regardless of age. Max wanted an age dispensation too, not just RB. How long has Liam been waiting for? Probably should of been in the TR seat after Albon. Now he is a much more mature driver and all the more hungry for his wait, but smart about building the team around him and bedding in. Learning all he can first. I think he'll surprise many, we shall see!

    • @Greatgoku4
      @Greatgoku4 3 дні тому

      @D-Marie0970 it absolutely matters. You can't hold something against a teenager for not immediately taking up the mantle against a daniel who outperformed 4 time world champion vettel. He absolutely had the outright pace but he had to hone his skills and craft and mature. No teenager showed that much pace at that age as much as max and Lewis. You have to respect that

    • @D-Marie0970
      @D-Marie0970 2 дні тому

      @@Greatgoku4 Oh, I do respect Max's ability and skill, like Hamilton, Max is one of the best. However, I understand that Liam has to go through the same process, albeit at an older age. I have also seen Liams ability and adaptability in SF and DTM. I have no doubt he is capable of performing to a very high level if afforded the same patience and nurturing Max was given.
      But I dont think it will take Liam 4 yrs. He has already shown that he thrives under pressure. He has started 11 races, 5 in 2023, 6 in 2024. He has not even had the full opportunity of a proper F1 build up start with a secure spot. Many races he started on were on new tracks, against a team mate with 4 years experience, and Liam was dropped into it with little time to prepare, in a car he hadn't driven much, let alone raced. There are many evident facts that reflect Liam's talent and potential, when one puts all things into perspective.
      One thing I am truly impressed by, is Liam's white hot desire and determination to succeed, and the confidence he has in his ability to do that. He seems to have that little bit extra. That is what it takes to be successful in F1.
      Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill - Liam is already a disciple. He is already following the success formula, probably without even knowing it. He 's got it all, and given the right tool he will succeed, with a little time.

    Red Bull need to be planning for a post Verstappen Era, they cannot be held over a barrel by the prospect of Verstappen leaving or retiring. They also need a #2 driver who's not afraid to challange the rest of the field should Verstappen suffer setbacks. Lawson wasn't afraid to compete with Lewis and Alonso. they will now be watching their backs, as well as chasing Max. This is why he has the seat.

    I think you are reading too much into the Liam L interview. If he had said he doesn't expect to "eventually" beat MV, you probably would have said he doesn't have the heart or desire to win and therefore shouldn't be competing at this level . Give the man break.

"I don't expect to beat him instantly" to me just says the lad has a goal to be world champ, just like EVERY driver. He knows full well that Max is the benchmark, so to be champ he has to beat him. Cameron now claims that Sainz can offer better feedback than any of the other “19” drivers. lol. (Yet over the last month, Cameron waxes poetic - or tries to - about the genius that separates Verstappen from the other drivers.) This channel is great comedy. Cameron doesn’t seem to know if he is on foot or on horseback. Hilarious.

    • @Cameron-Cc
      @Cameron-Cc  3 дні тому +1

      I'll indulge you Clair because I think you mean well. Your first and your second are not mutually exclusive, are they? Max's genius behind a wheel is something very different from Carol's ability to feedback to engineers, is it not? They are two completely different skillsets, one does not null and void the other, ergo this is not a zero sum game despite your best efforts to interpret it as such. But never truth get in the way of your good, but flawed story. 🍻

      @Cameron-Cc. Oh my goodness Cameron. I think that you “mean well” too - trying to grow your channel. 😃 I’ll “indulge” you too.
      I have listened to episode after episode (certainly this last year) of you singing the praises of Verstappen, about how he is the 🐐, blowing every preceding driver (Senna, Schumacher, Hamilton, Clark etc.) out of the water; that because of Verstappen’s preternatural ability inside the car, inside the garage - he is the GOAT. You have gone on and on about Verstappen’s unparalleled ability (according to you) to work with the engineers in order to get the most out of the car. He is, to you, “unparalleled”.
      Now, in this post, you claim that Sainz has an unparalleled ability. Too much “parallel” Cameron means that a driver isn’t the GOAT. You can throw out the term “mutual exclusivity”, which sounds impressive, for sure, but it would help if you understood what it meant. 😃 You don’t seem to remember your own podcasts 😅 “ergo” this post.
      It is interesting Cameron, your g*slighting, your condes*ension, but you continue to be you.😃 I know that you “mean well”. 😉
      N.B. Verstappen most certainly is a superb F1 driver. 🙂

      @EntropicExergy 3 дні тому

      Sainz is good for feedback if you want to design an understeering, rear-limited car. If you want a winner, you need Max since it's oversteer that is the faster way to go around a lap. Max knows that and it's exactly why he wants oversteer. So yeah, in a way Cam isn't wrong, but i wouldn't bet on Sainz if i were to be wanting to win races and championships.

    • @EntropicExergy
      @EntropicExergy 3 дні тому

      @@clairdillon1762 Sainz is ok, but not as good as everyone is trying to make it seem. Max had beat him in their rookie year at TR without much problem, even though Sainz had several years of single-seater experience on Max. All that talk of Sainz to RB, which was never going to happen since RB management has had enough of senior back in his TR years, was nonsensical. Max would have made him into a Perez 2.0 with Sainz having the same preference for understeer as Perez does and an equally hard time handling the extremely oversteering RB. Just with Sainz still having the illusions of beating Max and becoming champion, just another headache for the RB management.
      Well, you have to stand out on youtube in some way, especially with all the podcasters in F1 nowadays with F1 having skyrocketed in popularity. Besides, i think Max is very much the best to ever do it, as he has shown this year once more. No misleading stuff in that one. But it's not that i go along with everything these podcasters say. For instance, i disagree with Cam on Hamilton. There is so much more to F1 than just stats, and that is what strikes me as what the Hamilton fans look at most.

    • @EntropicExergy
      @EntropicExergy 3 дні тому

      @@clairdillon1762 That is definitely the main thing, the entertainment. And yet, seeing a countryman do all the winning after having had plenty of drivers who never amounted to all that much, his father only being able to get a podium or so, does help in that regard.
      And it is what they say, the greats all added something to the sport, making it advance in time. Senna brought the technical knowhow and working together with his engineers, Schumacher made physical shape and training regimes far more important, not to mention his building with the team. Max has added simracing to the fray, being the pure racer that he is and doing loads of it in his spare time because he simply loves racing in all its different forms. Hamilton has not added much outside of wasting time on fashion and music, exterior projects that have nothing to do with racing at all. Is it bullying when pointing out these facts, or am i allowed to uphold the greats to standards which simply exclude Hamilton from being one?

    What’s not right about Max’s inside apex where he runs other driver off the track…. If the race line goes around a corner, then continuing straight is maneuvering in dangerous manner by breaking and going “off the race line”.
    If what Max thinks is correct, then a driver on the outside that will be ahead at the apex, should have the right to just shut the on the inside of the track, (as long as the outside driver stays on the track). And because this is sooo wrong, why then should you be able to run a driver that’s on the outside off the track? You should have to at least let the outside driver be able to stay on track. Especially if a driver is supposed to stay on track. Why should one rule ever superseded another rule as if it doesn’t exist?
