Used it a few times already. Interestingly, it gets down to one bar on the power indicator while providing stay-alive power, suggesting it is about to go dead (after 3-4 hours), but then when I pull it off it shows 2 bars. Recharge takes half the normal time, so I have to believe it would last much longer than the low-power (1 bar) indicator is showing. Wonder if it can be live-charged (in-line) while its plugged into the DLC/OBD2 port...
I would like this but I can't spend the money right now I just bought the thousand-dollar launch multi-vehicle scan tool that I can use to make a new key for my 2021 Rogue
@AR-il9gk no I am not. I am not even a mechanic. The Launch Control rep told me this was the unit I would need to do this. My plan... go to the after hours key drop parking lot at the dealership. Try to program my keys. If I end up with an all keys lost situation then I will leave e it there for repair. If I am successful then I drive away with a smile.
These days with so many modules getting power from multiple circuits, there's an annoying tendency for modules to be turned on when you put a fuse back in, which creates time-wasting confusion. A more efficient pathway is to do drop testing across individual fuses without removing them. There are tables that correlate anticipated drop depending on the fuse rating. An even more efficient way is to use a thermal imager that shows heat across fuses, directing attention to the circuit drawing current.
But I have a question please...... I have a seized caliper on my rear brake caliper 31,000 Mi 2021 Rogue still under warranty is that something that is covered ?
Whatever works but this does double down as a memory saver aswell and keeps your multimeter free, also with the bluetooth function leave that mug parked outside and check through your phone every so often...i think its prettt neat
What I don’t get is, don’t you have to have all the doors and stuff closed so nothing pulls amps ??So how does that work when you have it hooked up to the obd2? And have to open the door to take a look at it?
Youre really supposed to have all doors closed and close the switchs incase you need to peak inside...how it actually works through the obd port is cause once you disconnect the battery the tool now becomes the battery as its connecting the battery pos and ground in series at the obd

Literally the worst way. Some new vehicles will take an hour for everything to go to sleep. Total waste of time when you keep waking the bus up.

Yes...because this tool has an internal battery that can hold a 10amp load...if you notice the lights did come on and amp draw went up above 2 amps

The door ajar switch on most new cars is in the door latch. Leave the door open but close the latch. That way you can get inside.
