They are inviting us all to dance - I am reliably informed there is something in the lyrics (Su sings it and it is in Momometal's kabuki theatre section) about we are all fools - the fools who watch and the fools who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all fools why just watch, we may as well all dance. That "Are you ready?" was the 'new' (since April 2023, so nearly 2 years) third member Momometal "showing her fangs". It was her, but almost certainly pre-recorded for the live shows. This is what Tom Morello had to say. "I am a big fan of BABYMETAL, a band that is both power rocking and constantly surprising with dizzying musical twists and turns. I’ve been trying to work with them for some time and when they sent me the demo of METALI!! I knew I could rock that shit like crazy!" If you want to hear Su-metal rapping 'BxMxC' is the song for you. BABYMETAL'S newest member surprised all of us with showing her "fangs". Yes, Momometal does do a few growls. They may be on a backing track at times but it is her. Her fangs are on Ratatata, Headbanger (Momo version) and Meta Taro ( Momo version). 🤘🦊🤘
Momo actually did several screams in the Electric Callboy song that people mistake for the guys. Maybe check out Headbanger at Legend MM (aka Momo Banger) if you want to hear her take lead to sing and scream.
The growl is definitely Momometal's voice, but I'm pretty sure they are using a backtrack for the tour shows. She just learned how to growl in the past year or so, and I doubt she can do it consistently and perfectly at the moment. Plus I don't think it would be good for her to do it too much yet anyways.
For me, the ultimate example of audience participation for Babymetal is 'Babymetal Death'. The audience has more lines than the girls.
