So about the backup girls: In Japan, it's considered impolite to go to a concert and sing along with the vocalist. The rest of the audience is there to hear the band, not you, so they won't sing out loud the way a western crowd would. The 'job' of the backup girls is to give the audience a part that it's accepable to jump and chant along with. The audience is really well syncronized **because** the backup girls keep everything coordinated. They're a big part of what makes the whole thing pop...they're like the interface between the stage and the crowd.
Speaking of KORN, BABYMETAL was one of the support acts on KORN's "The Serenity Of Summer" tour back in 2017. There is even a video on UA-cam showing the guys from KORN dressing up just like BABYMETAL's band back when they dressed in white death robes and surprising the girls by getting on stage during their performance of "Gimme Chocolate" and performing with them.🤘🦊🤘
The real impact of Babymetal is that they have introduced a whole new generation of people to metal. From teens to seniors. There concerts are a diverse cross section of humanity 😊❤
BABYMETAL just finished a South American tour with SLIPKNOT as one of the headliners of KNOTFEST. Cory Taylor LOVES them and was introduced to them by his son, who is a huge fan. Kitsune dao!
Welcome back, great reaction and great choice of song and performance, thanks for listening to the recommendations. 'Megitsune' was the first song they released after becoming an independent act following their separation from their parent JPop Idol group Sakura Gakuin in 2013. It is a big favourite, often coming top in fan polls and it is the song they have played live more times than any other. It is also arguably the song that showcases better than most what BABYMETAL are about and one that truly reflects their Japanese culture the best starting with the traditional instruments (shamisen or koto, you decide which) in the intro and the lyrics about women being compared to foxes (kitsune - which also explains Su's fox mask) which, in Japanese mythology, are able to shape shift and take human form in order to deceive. It is also a bit of a push back against the traditional subservient female role in Japanese society, saying that is changing I think - or maybe it is - whilst also praising and celebrating the women who have played that role over the years for their strength. They are saying that women wearing their make up and hiding their true feelings ("crying at heart, smiling at face") are not trying to deceive anybody, they are simply trying to please everybody - so they are not kitsune (foxes), they are megitsune (female foxes or vixens) - and they are strong. The melody used in the intro and in the breakdown in the middle of the song (I'm not sure if you could hear the pig squeal screams in this one, you definitely can in the studio recording) is from the very well known Japanese folk song called 'Sakura Sakura' (Cherry Blossoms). When Su spoke a couple of words and did her high kick she said "Otome wa ... nametara ikan zeyo." (Maidens ... shouldn't be underestimated). The last part of this is a famous quote from a Japanese gangster movie said by the daughter of a gang boss. Su-metal is lead vocalist, but yes the two girls Moametal and Momometal do harmonies, backing vocals and lead the chants - all the "sore sore sore sore" (go go go go) parts in this were Moa (Momoko did not have her mic yet, she was only made an official member at the end of this show and got her mic the next night). The Kami Band are the instrumentalists - here you heard (maybe didn't see so much, but that is because this was from the BluRay and the cameras tend to focus on the girls) were Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantonio on guitars, Clint Tustin on bass and Anthony Barone on drums. PIA MM Arena is in Yokohama and is one of the smaller arenas they've played in Japan in recent years - I don't remember the exact capacity, I think it was somewhere round 12,000? Japanese crowds are best because they don't allow people to use phones - everybody is there living in the moment and getting involved. Having said that, BABYMETAL played in Washington DC last night and it seems the crowd (despite all the phones) was a good one. 🤘
Hehe, yeah, I watched some fancams, and there is a visible change in the US crowd´s behaviour. They get more lively recently. Less phones, more action. Best thing was the crowd surfer at the Fillmore in Charlotte, NC, catching a high five or fist bump from Moametal🤣
Guys go back to 2014 with this band! “Ijimme Dame Zettai by Babymetal Sonisphere UK” outdoor festival, 3 young Japanese girls with a heavy band first time out of Japan! 60,000 metal heads were stunned 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Watching your reaction was 100% fun, thank you so much, glad I found your channel! You are in for so much enjoyment. Studio/MV work is great, Live is phenomenal, however you go it will be a blast.
The most amazing BM concert for a UK metal head was sonisphere 2014 where they were meant to be on a small stage but with so much interest they wer put on the main with an audience of 65k. The lead singer was 15, the backing were 14. It started with a WTF and finished with us screaming for more after 5 songs. We sold our souls to this band, i hope you enjoy the journey.
Hell yeah, guys, great reaction to this amazing song! Babymetal has played this song live the most. Around 360+ times by now since it was released in 2013. While I agree, that audiences in the US are typically not like this, we do show up for Babymetal. I just came back from their show in DC yesterday at "The Anthem" (~5000 - 6000). And WE WENT HARD with Babymetal!! 🤣🤘🦊 Pia Arena MM is in Japan, ~10K, and is one of the smaller venues for Babymetal's Japanese Arena shows. Normally, they'll play ~20K+. Also, in Japan, phones are not allowed at concerts, that's why you don't see any in the crowd. Also, they definitely showcase the Kami Band quite heavily. Of course, depending on the song, placement in the set, etc., everybody gets their moment. As of Apr 2023, Kami West has been Babymetal's sole backing band. Previously, Kami East supported them since 2012, and fully in 2014. With Kami West added in addition starting 2019. Suggestions: *YAVA! (Legend MM 2024):* With Kami West solos. *Kagerou (Legend MM 2024):* With Kami West solos. *Headbanger (Legend 1997):* The "classic" version of this song, during Dec 2013's show for lead Su-metal's 16th birthday. *Headbanger (Legend MM 2024):* Affectionately known as "Momobanger". Momometal's special version of the song for her 21st birthday show (Mar 2024). Let's just say, she turns from a peach into Momozilla with her vocals 😉. *Road of Resistance (Official Live):* Epic anthem, Kami East is playing here. Babymetal's staple show closer.
Awesome reaction guys, good choice for a first Babymetal song to react to. Japan crowds are off the hook. BM is my favourite band and I was able to see them live at Yokohama Arena earlier this year in Japan. Best show I've ever been to in my entire life and a lot of it was due to the crowd being amazing.
Great reaction! The PIA Arena is one of the smaller venues BABYMETAL played in Japan. Appr. 12k capacity, a bit less (about 10k) because of the huge stage. In 2016 they played the Tokyo Dome on two consecutive nights. 55k capacity, a slightly megalomaniac stage, and both nights sold out 😄The crowds are BABYMETAL´s crown juwels, I believe. The Japanese crowds are god level, every single time. EU, UK, and South America crowds are boss level. You should watch fancams from EU and UK concerts to see HUGE Row Boats happening to "Megitsune" 😄 Not to mention the South America fancams, the South Americans are an awesome audience, loud and super enthusiastic! There was an "incident" during the performance of "Metali!" at the Audio, São Paulo, which you should see after you reacted to "Metali!" (live version, pls!) 😆 "Megitsune" is very heavy, very Japanese, and it is a showcase for what BABYMETAL is doing. They play it at almost every concert, performed nearly 400 times now, and still counting. Wanna hear some more heavy stuff? Try "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" from the "Legend 1997" concert (2013). Su-Metal was just 16 years old back then, but she was a phenomenal singer from the very beginning 😉 You get to see Yuimetal (founding member, left BM in 2018) and the OG Kami Band (all Japanese musicians, and all top notch ones!) with this. Or try the very special version Ganimal83 suggested. Momozilla appearance, and a f*ing great entrance 😁 BABYMETAL concerts are just amazing!
This was the song that got me hooked on Babymetal last year. That same year I bought all their albums (some twice to get extra tracks), bouggt some live DVDs and travelled from Malta to Munich in Germany to see them live. More Babymetal. Liked and subscribed. 🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction, thanks! "Megitsune" is definitely a fan favorite and their most played live song (370 times and counting!). Also one of my top favorites. PIA Arena MM is a dedicated music venue and it has a capacity of over 12,000 people. Filming and taking photos in shows is strictly forbidden in Japan (at least at BABYMETAL shows). Yeah, crowds in Japan are insane... you need to be a die-hard fan and know every chant and move so you don't look out of place. 😁 🤘🦊
BM live is their bread & butter (4 studio + 1 compilation albums vs. 15 live albums + 13 video albums + 11 limited-edition boxsets). They've been doing this from their very start (2010), initially as a Sakura Gakuin subunit (as its school-themed 'Heavy Music Club') & singing along to backtrack (they couldn't afford a live band at that time, the venues were also typically 500-seat small, & the invites to idol festivals didn't include soundcheck). That said, the East Kamis were be gradually eased in by end-2012/early-2013, when BM started headlining bigger 1,500-3,000 venues on their own (the three IDZ Legend gigs), cleverly through sold-out shows at the same place (a strategy they still maintain in Japan today) instead of not filling out a bigger arena. BM then hit the big-festival scene in the 2nd half of 2013, sharing the limelight with trendy & legacy heavyweights at Summer Sonic (10,000), Inazuma Rock Festival (27,000), Loud Park (20,000), AAA2013 (10,000), Countdown Japan (9,000), Live Expo Tokyo (13,000). On their own, they would sell out three major solo shows (Legend 1997, Red Night & Black Night Budokan) before heading overseas, where their storied Sonisphere UK set (plus HeavyMTL Cana & Lady Gaga US tour) caused a big ruckus in the international metal community. By the time they returned home (start of 2015), the newfangled Team Babymetal live experience (trio, band, crowd) was very evident at Legend 2015 (20,000, see the Road of Resistance Live in Japan clip on UA-cam), Metrock 2015 (40,000, Dailymotion has their 7-song set), Makuhari 2015 (25,000, nowadays best remembered for the East Kamis's Mischiefs of Metal Gods segment). Frankly, their Japan shows during this period (up till selling out 55,000 at Tokyo Dome twice in Sep 2016) remain that classic BM era's most maniacal ever. They were also playing to even larger 75,000-90,000 festivals overseas (Download, Reading & Leeds Festivals in the UK; Carolina Rebellion, Northern Invasion, Chicago Open Air in the USA), before turning those high-profile stints into offers to support RHCP, GnR, Metallica, & Korn in 2017. Megitsune is one of their earliest songs, dating back to 2012. So you can just type the song title + year into UA-cam Search to vicariously revisit its live versions over time. Ditto for Road Of Resistance (which had begun und the provisional title The One over in London during end-2014). That said, it's the long history of Headbanger (which also debuted live in 2012) that is utterly more memorable, & hugely enjoyable in the way its crowd-participation spectacle would evolve through the years. Welcome to the Fox hole.
Just saw them a couple days ago at a tiny 2,000 capacity venue. They bring this same energy even to their small shows. Maybe even better. They were certainly having a good time, being total goofballs on occasion, and so did the crowd.
Yup, Japanese and South American crowds as well really feel it and they show it! I have to move, jump and dance when the music is right, as this is. I just saw Babymetal in Florida for the second time last week, where they played this. I would really love to go to a Babymetal show in Japan!!
My benchmark is: Megitsune Metrock 2015, when you can clearly see the crowd, it's a festival, no their own show, but 90% is Babymetal fans, because it's basically 'home town'. And if someone wants to make the Slipknot's "Jump The F Up" moment with Megitsune, it's Megitsune at Rock in Japan 2016. Sadly both performances can't be reacted to on UA-cam, because of copyright ownership.
Great react and channel, Kitsunes! One of my favorite performance of Megitsune. Simply and absolutely amazing! Definitely you need watch iine live! 3 differents styles in 1 song. Believe me, is simply great!! See you! 🤟🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
This song is over ELEVEN YEARS OLD but it still hits like a new song! This song was released on June 2013 when Su-metal, the lead singer, was just 16 years old! Also, I believe this song has been performed live the most since it is pretty much performed at every BABYMETAL concert.🤘🦊🤘
In Japan no-one uses phones in the concerts...Every song is like this with the crowd participation...Amazing concerts...Hoping to go again next year if they actually play in Japan...
Had to give you guys a sub, first off I love Babymetal, but also just realized you guys are close to me, (Altoona, Pa) here. I went to the Babymetal show last year when they came to Da Burg. It was like a bucket list for me but I would love to see a show in Japan when they bring out the big shows. Go back to 2014 and watch headbanger and she does the crowd separation and also when she gives the death stare and controls the crowd. And of course we are not a cult ( you might think if you watch the old Baby Metal Death live video lol)
To appreciate the age at which they started their career, watch official video "Doki Doki Morning." Lead singer was 14 and back-ups were 12. They are the youngest act invited to play the Budokan and sell out London's Wembley Stadium. And for audience interaction watch "Road of Resistance" official video, it is live.
A Japanese BabyMetal crowd is controlled insanity. They know when to cheer. When to jump. When to sing. All controlled by Su-Metal. All encouraged by Moa & Momo. Energized by the Kami Band. Overseas fans have caught on. Even in vastly smaller venues, BabyMetal fans are there for BabyMetal and will soak in every second of the experience just like Japanese fans.
Great reaction, guys. I just thought i mentioned since your favourite band was Korn . BabyMetal opened for Korn in 2017 on the US tour . Any BabyMetal song is worth watching, but Headbangèr and Road of Resistance will probably be mentioned a lot, and the song they opened the 2nd night of these back to back shows at PIA Arena Metal Kingdom if you want to see how to open a show .. 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
If you want to see more of the band, look for YAVA! with the Kami Band intro. There's versions with the eastern and western kami bands. They get their own time to jam out featured at the beginning.
Great reaction, i used to be a MV or album listener but with Babymetal i alsways watch the 'Live' videos. the Choreo and audience interaction is so integral to the experience, it lifts the (already great) music to another level. Also they put 100% into their performances even the ones in smaller places (like 1,500) you can see they really want the people to be entertained, and they have so much fun doing it - you can often catch them laughing/smiling to each other. Momo growls a bit more in Metali (though live that bits backing track i think)
Funny you should talk about Korn as there's a clip on UA-cam, where Korns frontman talks about Babymetal. Also Babymetal opened for Korn on one of their US tours and a couple of members dressed up and joined the girls on stage. There's a clip of that on UA-cam somewhere along with Babymetal opening for the red hot chilli peppers on their UK tour, there's a clip of Chad bringing out a cake for Su-metals birthday Babymetal's lead singer. Also Chad and Flea performed on stage With Babymetal on the final show of the tour.
They are just finishing up a 93 concert world tour. The European arena series has the O2 in london next year in may and the 20k tickets were mostly sold in 30 minutes. I got in after 2 minutes and was stuned how difficult to get a good position . The best BM song is the one i am listening to. They showcase the band most concerts, with solos
They were recently in Brazil, man I am so sad I couldnʼt see them live 😂 I agree with you about seeing these artists on stage having fun with the crowd, it is not an easy job but as soon as they let loose, in a good way ofc, it just becomes natural to have so much fun even with a lot going on technically. A song from BABYMETAL I would suggest is Rondo of Nightmare, I guess you guys would love this song. It is one of my favourite songs. Please, check out in the future if possible and I wish you guys donʼt have much trouble with copyright issues within the recording label; Amuse 🤘🦊
Nice reaction. Since you mentioned Korn. Babymetal opened for Korn a few years back. There are a couple of videos out there with them on stage together. A fun one is them surprising Su with a cake on her birthday. Just an example of how the foxhole is deep and full of surprises.
> "A fun one is them surprising Su with a cake on her birthday." Though they were on stage with them you, clearly, confused Korn with RHCP in this regard.
I definitely recommend checking out their 2014 performance of the song Ijime, Dame, Zettai (No More Bullying Forerver) from the Sonisphere festival in the UK. They were so young, and this was their first festival outside of Asia. They were originally set to perform on a small side stage, but were moved up to the main stage because of the buzz online following their viral Gimme Chocolate music video. This was the show, the moment, when Babymetal became a band people around the world were talking about. UK metal crowds are notoriously hostile if they don't like the band, and there were rumors that people were going to throw things at them (could you imaging throwing bottles at these girls), but instead they kicked the ass of the crowd and had them begging for more as they left the stage. Fun fact, Babymetal sold more merch at Sonisphere than either Metallica or Iron Maiden did that year.
Pia Arena MM is a dedicated music arena in Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, operated by Pia Corporation. Before the official name was decided, it was tentatively called "Pia MM Arena". Wikipedia Address: 3 Chome-2-2 Minatomirai, Nishi Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa 220-0012, Japan *Capacity: 12,141* Opened: 2020
good reaction! welcome to the Fox hole, Babymetal is an amazing band, always perfect live. i recomended ratatata live versión with Electric Callboy they are super together in stage. The Fox festival one is the best. i love yours reactions
Місяць тому+2
welcome to Babymetal guys. It's okay to have fun too.their crowd is a cult, band meembers are gods and the girls just as good as they come
You guys are in for such a treat with Babymetal! Although very nice, this is not at all a big show by their standards. They have so many concerts with bigger and more elaborate stage setups, performed in front of much bigger audiences. The Tokyo Dome probably takes the cake, but those videos tend to get taken down from UA-cam, and reactions are often blocked. If you want to see the girls totally own the crowd though, check out _Road of Resistance (live in Japan)._ If you want to listen to a more recent song, try _Monochrome._ Either the heavy metal version at the PIA arena, or the piano version on The First Take (which really shows off Su's vocals). And it is mostly Su that sings. There are songs with Moa or Momo on vocals (they have all had their turn at _Headbanger,_ for instance) but those two girls are mostly backup singers, dancers, and cheerleaders. If you want to see the band (called the Kami Band) featured properly, there are many songs where they appear more prominently, playing intros with extended solos. There are actually two main lineups of the Kami Band; the original Kami Band of the East (with Japanese musicians), and the more recent Kami Band of the West (with American musicians). I would strongly recommend taking a look at _Rondo of Nightmare,_ to get a proper look at the former. They are all insanely talented!
Babymetal live is the best way to watch this band, I'll be seeing their last 3 shows of their current US tour in California next month. And then in London and hopefully Barcelona when they're on their European arena tour next year. Just so you know there have been 3 different era's of Babymetal, first from 2010-18 with original member Yuimetal who unfortunately had to leave the band because of health issues, secondly from 2018-21 they performed as a duo with Su-metal and Moametal and now we're in the 3rd which began last year after they returned from hiatus with the addition of Momometal who btw is the one doing the growls. Whichever era of music you choose to react to, it's always guaranteed to be a awesome
Great first reaction. You chose a great song.🦊 This is why I think Megitsune should be the default first reaction for new reactors rather than the traditional Gimmie Chocolate MV. Megitsune is the closest thing to a definitive Babymetal song. Even though there isn't really a truly definitive BM song, this feels like their signature song at least. GC does have a bigger WTF factor, but it being an MV and not live, having babybones instead of the kami band, being over a decade old, and it being so comically kawaii etc. Can all become distractions for some reactors, that fans have to explain away in a 'Trust me bro' way lol. Megitsune (live) on the other hand speaks for itself, it's fire🔥. The WTF aspect of GC would be better served later on as a fun curveball. BTW, their music ranges from prog metal to rap metal, from pure death metal to metal-infused EDM, with everything and anything in between. I'm still waiting for some psychedelic-metal or some surf-metal LOL (actually i'm not even joking, it could easily happen)
I am working on getting tickets to see them in London in May. If you wanna here Momo growl then you gotta check out the Momobanger version of Headbanger. It is just the most epic thing :D
Nice reaction! The crowds are such a part of Babymetal shows as a lot of their songs have crowd interaction built into it. You've seen Babymetal in their latest concerts. You should check some of their older stuff. For something newer with a spotlight on the band you might want to check out Maya with the Western Kami band intro or for something older maybe Rondo of Nightmare (a Su solo song) with the Eastern Kami band intro.
Thanks and please keep reacting to BABYMETAL 😊 "Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of Metal Gods Intro" live at Budokan would be a great reaction for sure 😉
Guys, awesome, pls go for more BM stuff. Always live :) there is a ton of stuff like this one. Stay in the PIA arena and you cant get wrong :) you wont regret I promise. I am 40yo metalhead and in a last 2 years I am listening only BM. It is just another level. Already bought 4 tickets for 2025 EU Tour. Keep up and I´ll sure subscribe.😺
2015 MetRock.. Babymetal girls - yes they were teeny weeny teenagers then - sang Megitsune on a raw, bare bones stage without any frills..and I kid you not, maybe 10-12K people (mostly Japanese) went apeshit.. Daaang it, they were 16-17 yrs old!
Pia Arena MM has a capacity of 12,141. This two day concert was sold out and was performed 04/01/2023-04/02/2023. In which MOMOMETAL was introduced as the official 3rd member.
Babymetal audiences are 50% of why the live shows are so amazing. Everyone has a part, and it combines into an experience like no other. I'm an old metalhead, and have been to a crap-ton of live shows. Metallica, Slayer, Ozzy, etc... and I would take Babymetal over any of them. A few years ago I wouldn't have imagined I could say such a thing, but here we are.
Words that end with an E do something different in Japanese. Think anime. Mee-git-sue-ney👍 'Road of Resistance' official live (the old one) next! Best live performance by any group, any genre EVER!!!!!👊🦊✌️
Babymetal never disappoints live, but we the fans are disappointed when Babymetal doesn't have the crowd they deserve, but Babymetal gets the crowd going many many times, more than pretty much any band. Yes, even in the US. (you do still get a lot of a phones in the air !)
Japanese Babymetal crowds are always insane, but this one imho wasn't even one of the best! The best ones imho are at Metrock in 2015, and at the Legend 1997 show in 2013, when they were still teenagers! If you want to see that crowd, you could react to "Headbanger" live at Legend 1997, or even "Catch me if you Can" live at Legend 1997: in this one they hype the crowd a crazy amount ahahah The 2 other girls, give backup vocals, and sometimes they sing a bit!
While I agree that live is often the way to go, some people make it sound like you're committing a deadly sin, if you listen to the studio version first. That's bullshit, because we all listen to the studio version first, and then find great live versions of it. Just about everyone is introduced to any given song by the album version. The reason I point this out, is that in the studio version (and hence the official mv), there are pig squeals in the breakdown. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻 And I know how many would like to see even more of the band, but remember : this is a session band. It's not an official part of Babymetal, and Babymetal has learned choreography for literally every second of every song they perform, so in single song youtube clips, you mostly see the girls. On the full concert footage and the blu-rays, the Kami Band (very deservedly) get more screen time. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
"Best crowd ever" I gotta agree. I'm not what I would consider a huge Babymetal fan, but I would 100% without hesitation go to one of their shows, especially in Japan, to participate in that crowd interaction. I've read that there are rules for the crowds (e.g. no cell phones), which might seem like a buzzkill to some people, but I would personally love the organized fun. Having a blast with little risk of getting hurt *cough cough moshpit cough cough* sounds great.
I think Babymetal brings that out from the fans, I've seen lots of BM concerts from all around the world and the fans are always going crazy. You guys are in to a surprise with Babymetal, another 70 songs to go. I recommend Road of Resistance live in Japan and Ijime Dame Zetai in the UK at Sonosphere (first time BM played the west in front of 50 thousand hostile heavy metal fans that never heard about them and everybody loved it). Great reaction guys.
I mean not that new. Babymetal has been around since 2010 and this song came out in 2014. But yes Babymetal shows are very interactive and the whole crowd for the most part knows their role for each song. Japanese band concerts (even when they tour in the US) are on another level, whole different vibe. Go to a Japanese show and it is never boring. And btw Babymetal is touring the US right now!
Gerat recation. the scream in RATATATA was not Su the lead singer was Momo one of the two backup singers/dancers . If you want to hear more creaming you need to listen to listen to the special version of "Metali from Legend MM" or headbanger from Legend MM. but if you want to do headbanger you have to do it in order to understand it first is Legend 1997 then Legend M and last is legend MM
Momo growls in Ratatata, If you want to hear another growl, I'd check out the video for momobanger. Su is the main singer, Moa and Momo will ad harmonies, but are listed as scream/dance. I liken them to cheerleaders, they are there to get the crowd pumped up, but they are both good singers. you mentioned the guitar and drum playing a lokng time, so along those lines, I'd like to reccomend you watching Road of Resistance Live in Japan for a review
They should watch Headbanger first before watching one of the birthday special versions with Moa or Momoko taking up lead vocals in the second half (dubbed Moabanger and Momobanger by fans).
They have used this song as opening some a couple of times, compared to how often they've used this song. It's the most performed song of Babymetal, in part because it's an old song. This was the second song of that night. Babymetal often open with the song Babymetal Death, but this show (from memory, only ever happened ones they used The Legend, a song itself not performed that many times and this was a time they actually used an other song a couple of times as an opening song: Metal Kingdom). A good performance to check out for opening song, is Babymetal Death, I would recommend Babymetal Death at the Legend 1997 show, at this show it was used as the closing song and given extra attention to the performance and a bit more instrumentals/band.
The Warning is another growing band whose live performances are absolutely mesmerizing, might want to give them a shot too; anything from the CDMX concert or MTV performances should do them justice audio/video quality wise🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Hello Guys! You had promised to release this video during your livestream and you delivered! As we had discussed, if you're looking for more Japanese metal bands, here are some "male" ones I'd recommend checking: - Maximum The Hormone (they just released Shimi featuring Atarashii Gakko which is one of the rare Japanese J-Pop bands I love as well) - Jiluka - Paledusk - Dir En Grey Highly recommend these, they're all very creative so you're atleast bound to find interesting stuff coming from these ;). EDIT: If you are indeed fans of live crowd participation, I've never seen a more lively widely participating crowd as BABYMETAL's Metrock 2015 concert. If you ever get the chance, I'd highly recommend watching this festival set of ~6 songs. This crowd goes 20x wilder. And I know what you're talking about with Slipknot 99 ;). I think it'd be great if you could - at some point - for you to organize some kind of live reaction to Metrock with BABYMETAL. You will NOT be disappointed if you're a crowd participation enjoyer. Let me know if you need help organizing that also!
Each song Babymetal does live has their own little "opener" so that it gives the fans a chance to react to the song playing. If you're interested in their Official concert opener, it's called Babymetal DEATH! It's more of an introduction to the musicians playing and the girls introducing themselves. I'd recommend Legend 1997's live version of it if you're interested in checking it out!
welcome to the fox hole, great reaction there is a lot to discover on babymetal, they have been around since 2010. I would suggest you go into their big break onto the internet "gimme chocolate" from concert legend 1997. they were teenager ruling the stage and the crowd.🦊🦊🦊
I know that it's probably not Billy's cup of tea as it comes to music, but if he really likes to watch amazing crowd interactions, I recommend him to watch Lara Fabian - Je t'aime - Live in Paris, 2001. Lara Fabian was at a low point in her life and her fans knew it, so they made something very special for her with the pianist complicity. No need to react to it, but pretty amazing to watch anyway. P.S. Lara Fabian is one of Dimash's most beloved idols with MJ.
Great reaction... PIA Arena concert "Baby Metal begins the other One Black night" on the first day and "Celar night" on the second day with a capacity of more than 12,000 and fully filled... yes you will find a new nuance that is not boring, especially in BabyMetal songs and welcome to Fox Hole brother...talking about Baby Metal is not only about the 3 Girls (Su Metal, Moa Metal and Momo Metal) but you can see the magnificent stage with epic lighting especially for their single concert, Accompaniment Band "Kami Band" and The One are what Baby Metal fans call them because they are all one unit that cannot be separated from Baby Metal... keep up the spirit and take care of your health friends...🦊🦊🦊
Great explanation! Thanks!
yup. they allow chant, but it is planned one. not just random shouting.
Thank you so much for enlightening me on that, I had no idea this was the case. Sincerely thank you!
@@AstralHippoTotally agree; that's amazing insight/information.
Speaking of KORN, BABYMETAL was one of the support acts on KORN's "The Serenity Of Summer" tour back in 2017. There is even a video on UA-cam showing the guys from KORN dressing up just like BABYMETAL's band back when they dressed in white death robes and surprising the girls by getting on stage during their performance of "Gimme Chocolate" and performing with them.🤘🦊🤘
Awesome!
I thought it was his son that introduced him.
Like that comment. "Heavy, mixed with Happiness" BM redefined Metal.
You guys are in for such a treat.
Welcome to BabyMetal and enjoy the ride of a lifetime.
Awesome, thanks for the info. Definitely helps down the road when we do more.
@@millennialxreactions Glad it may have helped - and I'm looking forward to when you do more.
@@Wolfpack94487 Good news - and I haven't seen that one!😲
@@Grington300 This tour is sheer madness, wherever they go. They´re getting better and better and better...
Thank you
The most amazing BM concert for a UK metal head was sonisphere 2014 where they were meant to be on a small stage but with so much interest they wer put on the main with an audience of 65k. The lead singer was 15, the backing were 14. It started with a WTF and finished with us screaming for more after 5 songs. We sold our souls to this band, i hope you enjoy the journey.
Babymetal are AMAZING, I'm so glad you're getting into them ❤❤
Hell yeah, guys, great reaction to this amazing song!
Pia Arena MM is in Japan, ~10K, and is one of the smaller venues for Babymetal's Japanese Arena shows.
Suggestions:
*YAVA!
Well done, DC Kitsunes! 😁

Should of been at the Babymetal show in Washington Dc the other day. It was insanely good.
There was an "incident" during the performance of "Metali!" at the Audio, São Paulo, which you should see after you reacted to "Metali!" (live version, pls!) 😆
"Megitsune" is very heavy, very Japanese, and it is a showcase for what BABYMETAL is doing.
Momozilla appearance, and a f*ing great entrance 😁
BABYMETAL concerts are just amazing!
I'm a 70-year-old headbanger and Babymetal saved my musical soul.
Subbing, to watch your amazement as you enjoy this fantastic music.
#notacult
You really can't go wrong with BABYMETAL. Every song will most like make you move in your seat or smile or entertain you one way or another. 🤘🦊🤘
This was the song that got me hooked on Babymetal last year. That same year I bought all their albums (some twice to get extra tracks), bouggt some live DVDs and travelled from Malta to Munich in Germany to see them live.
More Babymetal. Liked and subscribed. 🤘🦊🤘
We appreciate you
Great reaction, thanks!
🤘🦊
I went to the BABYMETAL show in Charlotte and ended up in the pit. The crowd was excited. Crowd surfing, moshing, and wall of death.
Welcome to the Fox hole.
to be fair, every Babymetal song is its own juwel. hard to tell you guys what to listen to, i like them all :)
You can react to every song in this show. The other songs are on this level and above.
youve got to check out one of the songs with a kami band intro! i love su so rondo of nightmare is my favorite
Awesome reaction! BABYMETAL rules!
Just saw them a couple days ago at a tiny 2,000 capacity venue. They bring this same energy even to their small shows. Maybe even better. They were certainly having a good time, being total goofballs on occasion, and so did the crowd.
Yep, I just say them at a small venue, and they were no different than the Japanese performances on Blu-ray. They are without equal. 🦊 🖖❤
@@autohmae Yes, i have that video and love it...Megitsune and IIne are amazing;)
Great react and channel, Kitsunes! One of my favorite performance of Megitsune. Simply and absolutely amazing! Definitely you need watch iine live! 3 differents styles in 1 song. Believe me, is simply great!! See you! 🤟🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
Adorable. Powerful. Inspiring. That's what Babymetal is to me ❤🤘🤘🤘
I would've added "wallet draining" to that :)
That's crazy it's that old
Su was still 15 in June. She turned 16 in December. 😉
Still one of their all-time greatest songs. 🤘🦊🤘
One thing a love about this live version of this song is how they sneaked in the Kami solos during the breakdown.
their band from usa by the way 😄
In Japan no-one uses phones in the concerts...Every song is like this with the crowd participation...Amazing concerts...Hoping to go again next year if they actually play in Japan...
Not far at all. Thanks for the sub!
Great reaction! Hope you do more! Babymetal is positivity and cuteness wrapped in blistering metal. 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
Babymetal first MV was in 2010, they were 12 and 10 yo AND even then they were professionals.
> "A fun one is them surprising Su with a cake on her birthday."
Though they were on stage with them you, clearly, confused Korn with RHCP in this regard.
@steffenjachnow8176 yup was at work when I wrote that. Clearly not thinking. 😂
Fun fact, Babymetal sold more merch at Sonisphere than either Metallica or Iron Maiden did that year.

good reaction! welcome to the Fox hole, Babymetal is an amazing band, always perfect live. i recomended ratatata live versión with Electric Callboy they are super together in stage. The Fox festival one is the best. i love yours reactions
welcome to Babymetal guys. It's okay to have fun too.their crowd is a cult, band meembers are gods and the girls just as good as they come
Keep then coming, we're along for the journey ❤
They are all insanely talented!
yeah babymetal is all about live show performance
Try BxMxC. Something tells me you will ❤that one. 🤘😎🤘 the band does get their time to shine. Try "tatoo" live.( kagerou.. )
You chose a great song.🦊
This is why I think Megitsune should be the default first reaction for new reactors rather than the traditional Gimmie Chocolate MV.
Great reaction!🤘🦊♪
Nice reaction! The crowds are such a part of Babymetal shows as a lot of their songs have crowd interaction built into it. You've seen Babymetal in their latest concerts. You should check some of their older stuff. For something newer with a spotlight on the band you might want to check out Maya with the Western Kami band intro or for something older maybe Rondo of Nightmare (a Su solo song) with the Eastern Kami band intro.
BM are the ballsiest 3 little ladies you will ever see. Amazing group.
" Live BABYMETAL is Life "
Thanks and please keep reacting to BABYMETAL 😊
"Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of Metal Gods Intro" live at Budokan would be a great reaction for sure 😉
Nice reaction🦊⚔️ My favorite lyric is "Women are actresses."💕
Guys, awesome, pls go for more BM stuff. Always live :) there is a ton of stuff like this one. Stay in the PIA arena and you cant get wrong :) you wont regret I promise. I am 40yo metalhead and in a last 2 years I am listening only BM. It is just another level. Already bought 4 tickets for 2025 EU Tour. Keep up and I´ll sure subscribe.😺
My decade was the 80s - no frickin' phones. Pure bliss.
Fine jobs gents👊🏽⚡️🦊🤘🏾
Rock and Roll never died. It's just played by little Japanese women now.
The drummer is Anthony Barone who has been in a number of Death and Metalcore bands.
Keep calm and BABYMETAL! 🤘🦊🤘
BABY METAL🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥
Words that end with an E do something different in Japanese. Think anime.

'Road of Resistance' official live (the old one) next!
Best live performance by any group, any genre EVER!!!!!👊🦊✌️
Babymetal has a deep and diverse catalogue and lots of epic live performances. Enjoy the journey! 🤘🦊
If you want to see that crowd, you could react to "Headbanger" live at Legend 1997, or even "Catch me if you Can" live at Legend 1997: in this one they hype the crowd a crazy amount ahahah
The 2 other girls, give backup vocals, and sometimes they sing a bit!
Capacity, the PIA is a stadium with 17k seating, but i believe does not include standing, it is meant as a stadium, so i thing there is another 10k.
Well done gentlemen.

2nd Metal Kingdom epic opening it is a great way to open a show 😁🤘🏼🦊
@ thanks my friend. 👍

im seeing them in may at 02 in london, genuinely so fricken happy, cannot wait
Next, "Headbanger" Legend of 1997. This was before they hit internationally. You're not going believe the audience.
And I know how many would like to see even more of the band, but remember : this is a session band.
Great reaction guys.
you should watch "Kagerou" from "Legend MM"
Also Yava LIVE from Legend MM concert 2024 HQ Pro Shot from the For The Fox God channel has a great intro by the Kami Band.
Metali y Kagerou del mismo concierto Legend MM tienen tambien intros de la Kami Band seria buenas opciones para reaccionar en el futuro
@@JuanGomez-dk6kf Yes. Kagerou LIVE Legend MM is a great performance.
2021 Budokan Akatsuki for SuMetal's awesome singing!
Best fans ever, almost no phone, they really live the show, not fuking film it.
You have to watch headbanger momo version, I promise you guys amaze
The Warning is another growing band whose live performances are absolutely mesmerizing, might want to give them a shot too; anything from the CDMX concert or MTV performances should do them justice audio/video quality wise🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
They have kid friendly mosh pits
Hello Guys! You had promised to release this video during your livestream and you delivered!
As we had discussed, if you're looking for more Japanese metal bands, here are some "male" ones I'd recommend checking:
- Maximum The Hormone (they just released Shimi featuring Atarashii Gakko which is one of the rare Japanese J-Pop bands I love as well)
- Jiluka
- Paledusk
- Dir En Grey
Highly recommend these, they're all very creative so you're atleast bound to find interesting stuff coming from these ;).
Thanks! And thanks for hanging with us on the live
I would recommend, Rondo of Nightmare w/ Mischief of the Gods intro at Budokan. There's a cool Kami Band showcase there ;)
Best crowd: Babymetal - Death
Info: The music industry in Japan is 3 times bigger than in the USA (at equal population).
