- First range tests with my scoped Yugo M48A Mauser. We will be using IMR4350 powder, resized 30-06 brass and Hornady 195 gr SP and 196 gr HPBT. The rifle is using a Badace Tactical M48 Yugo mount and a Bushnell Elite Tactical fixed 10X scope. Just trying some test rounds in the 47-54 gr ranges to find accuracy nodes. There more scientific methods like ladder test but trial and error range time is always fun :)
The next range day I will focus on the 53-54 gr area with 196 gr PPU PRVI SP bullets.

I’ve loaded up my test rounds in the 53-54 gr range and will hit the range this week. Hopefully we can get groups at 1 moa and I will load up in bulk. This summer I’ll try it out at the 600-800 metre range :)
Our next batch of testing will be with 196 gr ppu/prvi sp. The reloads will be in the 53-54 gr range to get this load dialed in and reloaded in bulk
Off to the range today to finalize our loads. Dragging out the new chronograph as well.
Gearing up for the next round of testing in the 53-54 gr range. I’m hoping for 1 moa or less which is optimistic then we can bulk reload for that round. Zero the scope out and done.
