    Patrick really reminds me of how awesome my own coach was. I couldn't afford the sessions anymore, so whenever I forget something or try to get more comfortable with my technique, I just watch his videos because they are very similar to my former coach. Thank you for the videos you produce!

    Excellent tips. The tip to imagine throwing the racquet will help me the most. And remembering to have a light grip too. Thanks!

    I think it's good the way the video is quick to the point and clear. A lot of the the other coaching videos go on for ages with the guy talking with little action.

    Damn how come I only found this video now! I have been told by many coaches to do big tirns and close my stance when do backhand. Now I tried the open stance and long follow through, it changed my backhand drastically!

    I had a private tennis lesson to work on my backhand, a YOUNG male instructor and there was no breakdown instructions I was after. I was told 'I can't teach you this, you have to work this out yourself' I never went back.

    • @josephwalsh1375
      @josephwalsh1375 18 днів тому

      Yeah but there could be any reason for that. Coaches may want to see how much you work out for yourself. Having been a Coach AND paid for lessons, often I found instructions misleading and/or information inaccurate. The most satisfying development that Players achieve is sometimes in spite of Coaches.

      That guy's probably out of business..
      Coaching is not as easy as it seems..
      Good/Great players often struggle with instruction..
      "Teaching" in general is difficult and that's essentially what coaches are...

    Poner el ombro, apuntar la bola con el ombro en la aproximacion, el armado es muy importante para un golpe solido, la terminacion debe ser veloz, y acelerando el brazo, IGA lo hace muy bien.. Otra cosa importante es estar siempre flexionadas las piernas..

    Having problems with rebel tennis elbow ( one handed backhand) do you think that if i start learning the two handed it will help?
    Do two handed back hand players have tennis elbow?

      When I switched to two hands it got rid of my elbow pain. One handed needs to be technically perfect especially the follow through.

      Side, if possible. But often you don't have enough time, so you'll be open stance

    I'm no authority but from my perspective these tips look like bad technique
    non-dominant arm to "pass over" the dominant arm - As far as current study tells it's opposite what you should do.
    try holding the racquet 2-3 at high pace ball
    It's not throwing the racquet like a mad man - it's very structured movement that needs to be performed smoothly like it's thrown but these are 2 separate things.

    A one handed backhand coach can never teach two handed backhand in tennis. Even if the player is RF they cannot teach.

  • @vietlam8640
    @vietlam8640 2 місяці тому

    I don't agree with several things, e.g., grip tights, throwing the racket forward, etc. It is pure utopia. The fact is that it takes a lot of force, which is why they all groan when they hit the balls. They also get cramps and injuries.

  • @ДанилаЛеонидович

    Haha, feel so bad for the coaches that are staying on the court and listen to this nonsense. Pretty sure they want to kill themselves seeing this stupidity happens! Patrick is a king when it comes to promote himself, sadly not to help people with their technique...
