- Cycling 75 km from Sitges, a small town near Barcelona, to Montserrat monastery.
As well as day trips, I do long cycle tours in a different country every year, with the aim of cycling 50,000 km in 50 countries.

I love it!
I'm gonna climb that on Friday! Here in Gran Canaria right now and going to Barcelona tomorrow. Love your video!
Thanks Adeline! It's beautiful there, have a great time!
Amazing footage. I miss cycling long distances due to COVID here in India. You make me feel I m riding with you in these videos. Keep making videos , be safe and have fun !!
Thanks Avhirup! Hope you get back out on the road soon!
(Hello from USA, Florida) .... What tires are you using?
Hi Ron, they're Schwalbe Delta Cruisers (Plus).
There is so much great transit around Montserrat: a train right to the monastery from Barcelona, a cable car from the base of the hill to the monastery, several funiculars to get you around the mountain from the monastery.
But cycling there is car hell any way you slice it, even if bikers do it anyway.
It’s shameful, actually, how hard it is to ride from Barcelona to Montserrat without risking your neck on sketchy, busy roads with no shoulders.
Yeah, it's a shame the route's not more bike friendly. A couple of times I've done the hike from the town to the monastery, which is probably my preferred way of getting there.
@@IslandRides Yes, the Montserrat hiking trails are lovely.
