Enjoying your videos and seriously thinking of eventually moving to Italy. I'm Canadian and of course when looking for properties , it's very important to know how close a hospital is located. You mentioned in one video that people were also requesting the distance to the nearest hospital and you made light of it. For anyone retiring there, yes it is a concern. Or for that matter, any age is a concern, especially these days. Please start making note of this in your future videos. Thank you!
OHHH!!! Abruzzo is the land of my maternal family and my cousin lives in Fara San Martino! It is beautiful, the ancient ruins of the monastery and the San Martino gorges with the mountain are wonderful and there is the green water source with which numerous types of high quality pasta are produced, De Cecco, Del Verde, etc. But it is in a rather isolated place, with roads difficult to drive because the roads are not in good condition, you have to be a good driver. However I would go there to live in a heartbeat if I didn't have a home and work in another part of Italy!
What an amazing property with so much potential.. I was sold on just the views before you even started on the property itself! Keep them coming Dave.. I’ll get there one day.. have a great weekend 🇮🇹🇦🇺
Italy is beautiful I’m half Italian spent several years in the south with my grandparents. It’s the magnitude of corruption and the whole system that spoils it that’s why I never bought a house. Also all the young are leaving and it’s full of elderly people, not that there is anything wrong with being elderly btw. Good luck to all its a special place for me 🙏🙏🙏❤️
Stunning views from every window and the terraces. Quirky place with lots of potential, garage...and groovy floors! Biking and hiking in stunning landscape.
What a potential on this one. This one has the charm and versatility and a possibility here to build an outdoor activity dream. With a huge bike garage. Really like this one.
Just so fabulous. Love the mountains and the historic town. Great apartment. Very roomy, comfortable and interesting abode. Character. My husband and I are crazy about it. Wish circumstances were different. We’d love this place.
Massive potential with this property. Would make a nice multigenerational home or BnB. Even if all the works were €100,000 it would still be a bargain. Beautiful area, close to coast and ski.
Ciao Dave, the town is stunning, I absolutely love it, the house does need some renovation, but always keeping with the time period of when it was built. I would make the lower bedroom the dining room, closer to the kitchen, and make the lounge where the dining room is now. a lot of reconfiguring to get another bathroom in the house, but it can be done, I see where without writing a book in the comments. I like it. Being Italian I love pasta, what could be better. Thanks for showing it.
Beautiful town. During my last trip to Abruzzo, I visited this area which is also home to De Cecco pasta and Del Verde pasta companies two of the best commercial pasta companies in Italy. The water comes from the Majella mountains which is approximately 40 K from the Adriatic coast.
I'm glad you mentioned the buses because Google maps doesn't seem to want to get me anywhere by it. Just when I start thinking I should go for a smaller space for just me, you show us this place! Beautiful!
Rome2Rio also reports no bus stop. In order to access bus or train one has to take a 85 to 110 euro taxi ride each way to a place with stations. I gave up on looking at Abruzzo villages due to a lack of public transportation. I bought property in Marche which has very good bus service.
Dont believe all those out of date websites! There has been at least twice daily bus service for years originating further inland at Roccaraso and Palena and heading to Lanciano that pass thru (and stop) in Fara. It even stops in Civitella at top of hill seen in vid before travelling down to Fara. And then there are at least the same number of return trips coming back thru from Lanciano.
At EU49,995 it wouldn't hurt one's pocket to put an additional EU50+ to complete updates to the kitchen and bathroom, adjust a few walls, perhaps another 1/2 or full bath upstairs. Love all the balconies and your idea of switching the purposes of the rooms around is 👌. I can just imagine the kitchen patio improvement and my lounger is already setup on the rooftop terrace😁 [PS - I luv all the floor tiles - really workable and in excellent condition] Great find.
I absolutely love the Mountain View's so much! Is there any chance or has there ever been a landslide on those mountains? They look pretty solid, but just wondering. Love this property and it would be nice with a couple of added bathrooms, replace the windows, some doors and expose the vaulted ceilings. I would totally redo the kitchen with Carrara marble and some new cabinets. Renovated this place would be really extra stunning!
I'm thinking of snowstorms coming down those mountains... It's a lovely town though! Some of my Greatgrandparents were from Pescocostanza. I've been thinking of returning to Abruzzo.
Have to congratulate you here, David - a house well worthy of that favourite adjective. Strongly tempted to contact you. (By the way, three other phrases that came to me in the course of your video: really extraordinary, sweeping/panoramic, quite staggering.)
This property has potential to be a great family home for a young couple with children. Beautiful town great location unfortunately I don’t think it would for seniors, too many stairs. I always enjoy your videos. I have a curious question. Do you speak Italian until your next video? Thanks.
I’m the lucky one with EU passport. Now it’s hard to renew Canadian one. I applied and since Federal workers are on strike, no one knows what is the status of it.
@RB Also, from an email from David Benton to me in March 2023: "As for your comments on Canadians buying, I have tried 3 notaries and all have said the same that they cannot do it. It is very frustrating but I cannot see a way around it unless you have a visa to live here." So, because the Canadian law exempts permanent residents, that is it still allows foreigners who live in Canada with permanent resident status to buy homes in Canada, then Canadians who have Italian visas allowing them to live in Italy, not just visit, are not barred from buying in Italy.
Gorgeous! I am terribly afraid of snow and slippery surfaces so when you said 40 minutes from skiing I knew I could not manage a house there. But I am curious about how many times per day the chuch bells ring everyday. Or even if they do ring everyday or just on Sunday like they usually do here in the US. So much to see.
God how mutch i love this one 2 !! Fara san Martino i think i like that village very mutch. soooo beautyful and the space here, in this house, the view's wow , the price super !! Can't wait too explore this village/town also!! I By the way... i can't find that propperty with the waterfall . Does anyone knows the ref. off that one ?

As a fellow sufferer of vertigo, I love that you don't look down from any height.
I love the vintage vibe! 😍 lovely place, amazing price! Now, to convince my family to move to Italy
This is a beautiful quiet little town. It's the reason I first came to Abruzzo. If I didn't have my place in Sulmona, I'd buy this in a second!
I just bought some DeCecco pasta here in USA!
Thought of this place while I was cooking dinner, this is one of my favorites.
Why not just keep it EXACTLY like it is? It’s just magnificent in its uniqueness.: a time capsule. Beaucoup du character mon dieu.
Whoever buys this property is very, very lucky indeed!
My family lives there, I want to move there, you have given me the incentive I needed. I'm related to the pasta King!❤
One of the most beautiful town I’ve seen……those mountains are…….amazing
As an archaeologist whose family roots originate from Abbruzo, I simply HAVE to moove back there!
The potential that this place has! Stunning indeed!
Oh I get sooo happy when I see a new video from you. Grazie da Texas come sempre. Non vedo l’ora di abitare in italia!! Un sogno. A dream

It is... brilliant!!! Thanks again for your support buying my house, to live MY dream!
It looks very homey. Positive energy.
There’s a lot of space and potential for updating in this one. The views are worth a million dollars!!
An important piece of info that you could have added is that this place is just an hour drive from the Abruzzo international airport in Pescara.
This is Stunning as you say. Take absolutely magical. What great energy here.
What an amazing property with so much potential.. I was sold on just the views before you even started on the property itself! Keep them coming Dave.. I’ll get there one day.. have a great weekend 🇮🇹🇦🇺

beautiful place, beautiful . when I saw on the wall a thing with the name of my country Venezuela how beautiful❤😮❤
A spectacular town, spectacular property, I can't see this one lingering on the market for long!
Stunning views from every window and the terraces. Quirky place with lots of potential, garage...and groovy floors! Biking and hiking in stunning landscape.
great property! and the mountains are truly stunning! the house is charming but those steep stairs.....
Brilliant! Superb! Stunning!
This has got me thinking... So much potential
You find some real gems apparently because I have only watched two of your videos so far and each has been amazing 👍🏻
And I must say……STUNNING !!!!!
What a great deal in a gorgeous town. Thank you for sharing
I have fallen in love with this property. It has so much character which is unspoilt. Fingers crossed we have a little win on the lottery.
What a gorgeous place. Needs some work but it would be worth it
Beautiful town, like it’s just set down in the middle of a Mountain. Sold me on this one.❤️💥💫🌟
What a potential on this one. This one has the charm and versatility and a possibility here to build an outdoor activity dream. With a huge bike garage. Really like this one.
I cycled through the town a few years ago, on the way to Pescara from Rome. Its a fantastic region for biking.
Just so fabulous. Love the mountains and the historic town. Great apartment. Very roomy, comfortable and interesting abode. Character. My husband and I are crazy about it. Wish circumstances were different. We’d love this place.
Someone will jump on this.
Would be fun to update.
Love it. Thank you
This is also the region my grandparents are from. ❤❤❤
Beautiful town! The terrace is something for sure
It just needs to be cleaned up and decorated. And another bathroom. Great house, excellent price!
Amazingly stunning views!!!
Beautiful little town!
Massive potential with this property. Would make a nice multigenerational home or BnB. Even if all the works were €100,000 it would still be a bargain. Beautiful area, close to coast and ski.
So much potential in this beautiful home
There is no down side to this! Absolutely stunning views. The rooms are large. Location is great! Just have to figure out how to make this work for me

5:10 That is what the heavenly clear springs and their runs of North Central Florida look like.
Love it! So much potential.

I love the vintage tile flooring! I'd update some things, but wouldn't touch the floors.
I love 💗 Italy … this place is heavenly
What a find! So enjoyed this video fantasy. If only I was 20 years younger.
A stunning narrative
Such a beautiful property. Thanks for sharing 🎉
I love your Stunning's and had a laugh at the lads doing shots every time you say it ..
Interesting place...
Italian buildings are like Jenga! I love looking at the towns and older buildings. Armchair tourist!
Sadece Banyo ve Mutfağını yenileyeceksiniz..Harika bir Ev olacak..Potansiyeli olan bir ev.Yerdeki Karo Taşlara bayıldım❤
I will be dreaming of this.
I'm glad you mentioned the buses because Google maps doesn't seem to want to get me anywhere by it.

Beautiful, I would buy it
Such a nice place. With 60k could become a stunning townhouse.

Absolutely stunning. Is it still available?
Stunning
I'm thinking of snowstorms coming down those mountains...
It's a lovely town though!
Some of my Greatgrandparents were from Pescocostanza. I've been thinking of returning to Abruzzo.
We hardly get any snow, I live 10 minutes from there and we are lucky if we get a week of it.
Thank you for sharing.
That's right lovely.
gorgeous!
Have to congratulate you here, David - a house well worthy of that favourite adjective. Strongly tempted to contact you. (By the way, three other phrases that came to me in the course of your video: really extraordinary, sweeping/panoramic, quite staggering.)
Beautiful. Lots of potential. I would make 3 master suites with bathrooms and I would put a hot tub on the roof terrace with string lighting. Cheers🍷
Love it❤️
Wouldn't it make more sense to have the dining room direct across from the kitchen?
Great video!
My Goodness,
This one is really great. Still available David?
loved this one.
I have been looking for a place in the area!!!
Love it 😊
I want this!!!🤩🤩
You should come to Castel del Giudice 1 hour away from Chieti, there are 150 people here it’s near of Roccaraso
What a lovely little place. I could see the tool marks on the blocks. Must have been built in the 1800’s.
This property has potential to be a great family home for a young couple with children. Beautiful town great location unfortunately I don’t think it would for seniors, too many stairs. I always enjoy your videos. I have a curious question. Do you speak Italian until your next video? Thanks.
It’s an amazing place and location! Hope to find something interesting like this one when I come to Italy in two months. Greetings from Canada.
Hope you have a second passport. We Canadians are barred from buying houses in Italy now.
I’m the lucky one with EU passport. Now it’s hard to renew Canadian one. I applied and since Federal workers are on strike, no one knows what is the status of it.
@@maxwolpert2104 🇨🇦 barred from purchasing in Italy? Can you provide a source for this information?
