  • We’ll I said I would post longer videos, so here we are. I recently picked up a 592 and have been running it at different elevations while cutting timber. I posted some clips of the saw at work as well. The first cutting clip is at around 8,000 ft and it runs strong but it wasn’t as quick as I thought it would be. It also only had a tank or two through it. It started to break in a little more as the day progressed. By the way the saw is not stock, it was built by the wizard Gregg Brewer. The other clips are me talking a bit more. The last clips are from a day I did on the Mosquito fire and it was around 3,800 ft elevation. The auto tune kicked in and man it really really woke up. I have to say I’m super impressed and stoked to be running this saw. I did a little mod on the suspension of the saw to stiffen it up just a little bit. When I picked it up it seemed a little flimsy and loose in the hands. I added a rubber grommet to stiffen it up and it didn’t mess with the anti vibe system one bit. I also added a @mortalitool air filter to help her breathe more. The stock dogs aren’t bad but they don’t work the greatest in thick flakey bark. I usually run the @westcoastsaw1368 three point dogs so I ordered those up and will be putting them in this week.
    Hope you enjoy and this helps out. In the field testing and not just cutting a piece of firewood.

    I use husky , 572 and 592 for over 2 yrs , i mostly cut eastern hardwood , the 592 i put an 8 pin on it , over revved with 28 in bar with full skip in w.oak beech ect , has been good so far , like the auto tune and fuel injection , screamer for shizzle .

    Beautiful saw! How did you get started doing this? Next month I’m heading up to Mendocino to help out a mutual friend with a redwood. Thankfully his company is still able to log them. It’s going to be the biggest tree I’ve ever cut!

    Sounds like it’s got the good low end torque.. how you likin it compared to your WCS 661?

    • @matthewmeckley
      @matthewmeckley  Рік тому +2

      It actually is pretty comparable. When it finally woke up the chain speed was fast with amazing torque. Nothing will ever be like that 661 but R.I.P. to it.

      @@matthewmeckley these newer huskys are really impressive, Gordy built me a 661 last year, hard to imagine a better saw. But your 592 sounds like a badass workhorse.

      Badass saw, I think the elevation change might make it snappier like you mentioned. Good review! Touched all the bases I was curious on. We use a 661 at work, it’s snappy

      @@jacobhernandez8786 I’m glad you think this was good haha. I tried lol, the 592 is now my favorite big saw.

      @@matthewmeckley I’ll have to harp on some people to buy one of these lmao. I do tree work so we use the big saws when it’s removal time, but we trim a lot so it’s smaller ones obviously. We have the 500i as well which is doopeeee but we literally have no husky’s so. I’m curious though, I wanna try one

      I don’t really work on a crew, just bounce around. Hit up Atlas tree in California.

    Hmm? About the only thing impressive I see on that saw is the Cannon Bar.
