A sharp chain is everything
got to say that Husky 592 looks and cuts great
Huski en iyisi
I have a ported 395XP with 42" bar.
I run a skiptooth 404 chain on it for best results.
It is an absolute beast.
The 592 XP sounds a bit tinny, but they are getting a good reputation in the woods I believe.
I do like how Bucking has become like the old wise funky master of chainsaw stuff on UA-cam.
100% 👍🏼
He definitely makes a good "sage elder"
Im 12 and I adore your videos, We have a 362 and a 261 and theyre amazing, We also have a husqavarna but I dont know what its called.

Hi 👍🏼
Stihl MS 661 the best saw
Best thing to do with rounds that size is rip them down with the saw into smaller pieces. Be so much easier to split them then
Great idea, thanks Matt 👍🏼
Those are some nice saws James and at 1:54 I seem to hear that a lot from the missus. 🥵😲
It good to have big wood John! 😂😂
🤣😳🤣
What a work - out impressive !!!
It was for sure Bill, I was knackard 😂
Husqvarna 592 xp vs 3120 xp vs Stihl MS 881 🤔🤔?
a couple of new workbench table tops there
Yeah you could make some decent stuff out of it. I need a mill and a decent size thicknesser 😂
just got my 592xpg from you guys only ordered at beginning of the year 🙂 lovely toastie warm hands. It defiantely loves the 8 pin with the short bars. Similar to my 500i with barkbox.
What about with a 28" bar?
@@Dan-zi4 I run mine only with a 28” bar. Works great.
Great video ! Some seriously sized timber and saws 😱. That 42” also looks to have a Hard nose / stellite tip which will dramatically reduce power output and cutting speed in the sense the chain is running over the tip of the bar soaking up power, as opposed to a sprocket nose bar which has a sprocket and bearing. Also to note with hard nose bars is the chain needs to be run with slightly more slack to account for the steel on stellite and it’s associated friction, winding the oil pump out helps too 😁. Are you going to saltex on the 2nd ?
Thanks Rhys, Your right a sprocket nose bar would of been better, the oil pump was wound out all the way. Yes we will be at Saltex both days. Are you going?
@@MachineryNation aye, though still impressive and shows the capability of the 592 even in sub optimal circumstances. Get yourself a “cannon super bar” or a “cannon duralite” check them out, Have to sell a kidney but by Christ are they worth it ! All hand made @ cannon bar works Langley BC Canada from a solid billet of steel ! Non of this 3 piece glued or spot welded shite like most other manufacturers seem to be producing these days 😢. And they will custom make anything you require. Yes I’ll be going on the 2nd would be great to meet you
@@theautisticarborist6846 ideal man, thanks for the advice 👍🏼 yeah please come and say hello, even if we are filming. You have permission to but in 🤩😎
Nice One James That's a big bar both saws worked well Thanks again
Thank you Darren 😎
I want to make sawdust angels in those piles of chips 🙃
James great video. 👍
Let me at that meatie piece of timber with my old reliable 395xp
A seriously great video. I now want a 661 to compliment my 461! Cheers!!
Thank you Garrett it certainly would compliment your 461 🤩
I have 661 thats strong saw and ms 880 and ms 260
So it looks like the Husqvarna beat the Stihl by about 6 seconds on the first cut : I did account for the pause when adjusting the safety mask.
Interesting 🤨
Anytime I cut from both sides it always cuts the web horrible because you can’t get both perfect and binds even a sharp chain😅
Right pain in the Ar£e! Should of just gone with the big bar to start with haha 😅😂
James great video. 👍 Question. Usually on a bigger saw. Why is RPMs lower better? And on a smaller saw RPMs are better? 🤔 Or do you think they should all scream? 🤔
Got to love a screamer 😂
I love the Sound of the stihl ☺️🤤
Good one James well done
Thank You Nev 👍🏼
Awesome
So what are you going to do with all that wood then?
The slabs I’ve cut up I will split and burn and then the rest of it we may mill some and log the rest 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation do you think you will repeat this same treat with a softer wood in the future or do you only have Oak?
It would be a good comparison to chop up a lump of to see how much easier it was on the blades that were cut "differently" 👍
@@therealdojj yeah for sure, I’m trying to get hold of some decent size Poplar to use in the tests 👍🏼
Should've made a fresh cut with the new bar and chain. The bar was twisted across the multiple cuts
Completely agree, I really should have 🤦🏻♂️😂
Use the attack and bore cut through the whole way and come up from the bottom wedge not necessarily
Thank you for the advice, learning every day 👍🏼
+oil on husqvarna bigg bar...
She was turned up on high 🤩
Loverly saws
Thought you might like the sound of these Al 🤩
@@MachineryNation oh yes, music to my ears 😁
you realy should break a saw in on smaller wood first first before busting it into some heavy stuff
I complete agree Russell, she had been run for a bit already prior to digging into the big wood 👍🏼
Well done James- yep i always use my felling wedges for cross cutting big wood!👍
It helped massively, thanks Mark 👍🏼

What brand of mixing oil are you use for 661 ?
Run on Motomix why’s that?
@@MachineryNation because everyone has a different opinion regarding the mixing oil and its ratio
@@southofheaven-gardening true story haha 😂😂
Here in America, we would have put the longest bar and chain on to begin with. As you found out, connecting the opposing saw kerfs is next to impossible.
Me likey ... 👌
Vedi le non taglia
That 42" Bar is sexy
She was although Husqvarna only rate that saw up to 36” she handled it well 😎
Cutting a butt off of a tree isn’t logging.
