@BrettVaughnB100 Thank you for sharing with us. I know a lot of utube creators live on reviews of products & you are not at all about that cheap sheet life style, that's EXACTLY what makes you genuine (the real deal) &, why we want to know what gear you truly use. Thanks man

Brett, thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. I love learning about the mules and how you do things and why. You definitely are one of the best channels on here and you're only getting better! Hope you're having a wonderful evening 🙏🏼
Oooooo love the Pemmican recipe . That is unique ❤. Great packing reminders. I love those hobbles, too. Ken at k&S in Washington God rest his soul, came up with that style of fish hook leather back in 2008? I was walking in his shop he came out just made a prototype and came over and asked me what I thought? It was kool it doesn't hurt your hands on freezing morning to take off. I bought one of his first one's when he sold them, still have to this day. Tested by my escape artist arab mare and they held up. He used leather that felt like butter. Just beautiful to use...Glad you like em too....small world ❤
Some people think that they’ve been everywhere but the electric chair! Don’t listen to em. I grew up on a farm, the old kind of farm. Feeder heifers, hogs, chickens, sheep to mow the grass. Grew up around animals. You do a great job with your animals. Enjoy watching keep up the good stuff. Thanks

I really do enjoy doing this .. riding my mules and trying to film and show how much I like getting out .. and the good comments I get sure help .. thank you
I really enjoyed this video. You have a down-to-earth way to talk about your passion of adventuring on mules. I agree, yours is the best UA-cam channel going. I can’t wait until you head off on one of your multi day adventures. Stay safe and stay humble, and for sure watch your topknot. There are a lot of crazies out there these days.0
I had a mule named Big Ben I had him hobbled one day went inside and fell asleep after lunch I come out and he was nowhere to be seen. My neighbors about a mile or so up the road had a maier that was in heat. He traveled over a mile hobbled to go up there and visit while I was taking a nap😊
Don't worry about what ignorant people have to say. I appreciate your videoes very much. They take me back to the 1980's when I had four horses and a mule. My wife and I spent every weekend that wasn't winter, in the mouintains packing and trail riding and camping. Some of the best times of our life together. I believe those times contributed to binidng us together for life. 46 years and still make each other laugh.
Complainers complain no matter what. Best to ignore them if ya can. I think you and this channel is the best thing I’ve found on UA-cam! Thanks for the gear video❤ be blessed

When our boys were still at home we camped all the time, sometimes at a state park or camp ground, sometimes on a river bank or just in the woods.. Gear's a lot better nowadays. I guess 1985 or 86 was the last time we camped out.
Great information on your camp and pack system. At 71 it don't camp much anymore but I like to be prepared and you have great ideas. Your animal care and personal preparedness is impressive. Thanks for sharing your equipment picks. Helps me prepare for the future. Love your channel.
Hey I’m from Missouri about 2 hours south of STL I’m just a good old country boy…. I want to tell you something sir you are now my new (HERO)… I been binge watching you Brett for about a week now I really really enjoy and absolutely love your videos you put a lot of hard work into your content you are amazing man tough as they come knowledgeable, very inspirational, and I truly mean that the way you know all of your animals the way you take care of them it is really awesome to watch you it’s a beautiful bond between you and all your animals!!!! This is the best channel on UA-cam period it brings back so many memories of me growing up like you when you was a kid growing up my horses was my freedom and I rode bareback a lot myself but I really liked riding bareback the only time my grandpa didn’t let me use a saddle or I just didn’t use a saddle is when they was getting close to throwing a colt… I didn’t even put a bit in there mouth most of the time if I wasn’t leaving the farm or doing something like grandpa having me move and separate the cattle we had about 80 to 120 head all the time we had a 425 acre farm in Washington county Missouri… I’m 47 we raised just quarter horse’s and mostly impressive’s with a little doc bar back ground and I know you probably don’t like them a lot people don’t like a impressive they can stand up to that bad rep they have and get if you let them we raised all of our horses besides grandpa buying a couple good Mares when I was about 6 or 7 and I done most of the breaking my grandpa supervised he taught me well and we broke all of our horses mostly for trail riding!!!! I did some team penning with them Brett they did make very good cutting horses for me and I also showed all my colts cause I really enjoyed that growing up!!!! I was a member of the saddle club and American quarter horse association my grandfather got me into that instead of 4H I was really involved with the saddle club and I also started riding bulls at a young age did that for about 12 years with my best friend up until my early 20’s…. Now a little bit more about myself and why you are my hero I’m disabled paralyzed double leg amputee from a car accident in 2004 we won’t go into details now but it was bad…. I grew up doing the same thing I didn’t hunt dogs but had my blue healer, red healer, and little black and white shepherd mixed with husky that loved to tree squirrels with me all the time lol…. So riding and some dogs with ya just goes together of course the country there is different for sure but we as cowboys are the same getting out here deep as we possibly can into the country side just trying to feed our souls nothing like being out there by yourself peace and quiet no BS and that gets more important to us as we get older….. Brett again I want to thank you cause I can’t get out on a horse no more and do my thing and I always wanted to go all the way from one side of the country to the other and then hit all the cool trails after but I’m here supporting, watching, and rooting you on to finish all the adventures you have planned I’m excited for the future I have a lot of respect for you and your much appreciated my friend!!!!!💯🤙🏼

Always have a hard time deciding ' watch the wild horses in Western Alberta or head up to the lakes in Northern Saskatchewan for some canoeing and fishing. I can't wait to go ' and you make it harder . 😂
Love your videos
Thanks for all your hard work .
There's a huge mule farm in Mt. PLeasant, Michigan.

Just found your channel recently and subscribed. I love the content and it’s inspired me to get out and find some country to explore. Gotta get me a mule one day! Hey I gotta ask what brand of shades are the round frames I see you wearing sometimes? Man I love those and need a pair! Take care and keep riding on!
Xcellent time 😊

@@BrettVaughnB100 I said it several times, but old Clyde is a looker. From the rear view a guy would think he was a roping horse. He may need to be rode more than packed. Rest well friend.
Love this video. ✅. Thank you Brett 🙏
Great content thank you
Good job Brett !!!
Some people do nothing but complain . I think all of your animals look happy and healthy . Where did you get your hat ? I want one like it !
Agree on the crouper 100%.
Oh man just doesn't seem like it would be comfortable lol Thanks
Very interesting how guys carry stuff. Stuff for this or stuff for that. You never know when you will need stuff. Stuff doesn’t do any good if left in the truck.
Onward and upwards
God Bless 🙏

What is that "politically incorrect" name for your buck a& roll "thing a ma jig?" I'm not at ALL into horses or mules, but your channel just randomly popped up, so I thought I would watch it! AND? You seem to be a pretty nice laid back individual who believes in prayer and peaceful outdoor solitary adventure, so I subscribed! 😊
Oh, and I like Pemmican I made it as a kid.
I want to know where you get them cool sunglasses with the blue lenses ? They look heavy duty 😊
Hi Brett, love your videos and commentary. Glad you tell it like it is, and no need to apologize to the woke crowd. Ride On!
You need to look at quick draw tie line
I’m crippled a little so I quad camp been making jerky from 95/5 hamburger fast cheap and delicious also nut and seed bread. Both super healthy
I would like to try this.
Pemmican goes back tens of thousands of years. From what I read, it will last a long time. I’ve never had it. But I’ve always read about it. You should make it and sell it.
Brett, I’m still up for funding a rain awning for you. If your not comfortable with me funding the whole thing I can do 75/25 or 50/50 or what ever works for you. Keep on doing what you do. I appreciate you.
Love your content, what brand or size dehydrator are you using, I need a bigger one like that.
