Congrats Kent and Shannon on 1M subscribers. You bring joy and laughter, and good food to so many of us.
Gosh if they had a million subscribers 4 years ago wonder how many they have now in 2024!!!!!?????
People like Kent and Shannon are true gems!
Congratulations Kent and Shann on the million mark
I'm a bit late to this video, but my grandma made the best salmon patties. I make them better than my mom now. Her recipe has canned salmon, raw onion, egg, canned creamed corn, and cracker meal (powdered saltine crackers). Mix by hand until it's nice and clumpy. My grandma always used a small ice cream scoop to measure. They are best eaten cold in the middle of the night, straight from the fridge. My grandparents were planning to go out on their 50th anniversary and were snowed in, so my grandma made salmon patties and mac and cheese for dinner.
You are right on!!
Snacking on them later is the best!
❤❤❤
This is so awesome. I get home from work and my wife is frying salmon patties. Great minds think alike.
love watching your videos not just for the food but your down to earth humor which makes all the trouble our country is going thru right now, kinda helps put that on hold, God bless you Cowboy Kent and your lovely wife Shannon and family!
Hello my fellow Okie, my grannie made this for me all the time growing up she turns 96 tomorrow. Now I make it for her it’s one of her favorites.
When I first moved out on my own I didn’t have much money and couldn’t afford salmon @$3 a can, so I used Mackeral @$1 a can. Upped the spices and it turned out good. Made me enough for 3-4 meals!
My mom always made these with Jack Mackerel. Brings back many happy memory. Thanks so much, love your videos.
Much better now hello from Missouri cowboy
So your mom always made Salmon Patties with Mackerel? Now that's clever!
I make much the same thing with canned mackerel, but I wrap it around a cube of cheese. The cheese melts and leaves a hole inside so we call it "holy mackerel". I sometimes roll it in instant potato flakes and it fries really crisp.
I did not watch this live, but still enjoyed it. Would love to see more like this. Awesome job.
I’ve been making this for my girlfriend for the past 6 years we’ve lived together. My mom and grandma would cook this almost every week when I was growing up. Definitely a few times a month at the very least. Can’t go wrong with some good salmon patties and whatever sides you like. I’ve been eatin it for 28 years lol
Good eating they are
@CowboyKentRollins 😊

While I love your at camp videos and seeing the beautiful countryside, being invited into your home is very special to me. It feels like friendship and being a neighbor. Thank you so much! Love the cooking, the stories, and most of all you, Shannon and the puppies! God Bless!
Afternoon Kent and Shannon I just made these with tuna and used Old Bay season. Came out great, thanks for the videos.
Where haves these been all my life!!! I have never even thought of using canned salmon but you can bet after making these my pantry will be stocked!!!! So easy and inexpensive!!!! Love it!!!!
I knew how much my Granny loved me when she made her famous homemade biscuits with salmon patties and a slice of tomato from the garden when we was lucky enough to have 'em. Yours looks just like hers did except we had to stretch ours with some mashed up saltine crackers to make a can go further.
What a blessing to be in your kitchen! Thank you for sharing with us!
Man this takes me back to my Mam (grandmother) who grew up in SW MissouRAH. Salmon Patties and salmon soup are still favorites of me and my daughters to this day.
My wife and I just love to watch you guys. Great
Ideas and so darn cute in the delivery!!
😊😊😊
They say protect this woman at all cost.

Having been a commercial fishermsn for salmon in Alaska I have made these many times. When I have it my favorite salmon is the sockeye or red salmon. But I have used tuna as well and it is good too.
What's the best canned salmon
@@pantsbeontheground1620 sockeye, hands down.

I saw another post from an Alaskan and he commented that he wouldn't feed pink salmon to his dog!! It's that bad!! 35:30
Love your videos kent. I'm 62 years old. When I was younger my mom used to make them out of mackerel. Pour some pepper sauce over them mighty fine groceries son. Take care and God bless you are a ray of sunshine in these dark days.

Howdy! My grandma used to make these with her fried potatoes, and homemade beans. It brings back good memories! Always a family favorite! Much love from the panhandle of Texas! God bless y’all ✝️ 🇲🇽 ⭐️🇺🇸
Here where I live. You can catch fresh salmon at certain times of the year. The biggest one I caught was 25 lbs. Salmon is my favorite fish. The best way I have had it. The way the Native Americans cook it on a stick . It is over an open pit in the ground. I will have to try this and thank you again. May Jesus richly bless the both of you
Sounds good Rita, and God bless you
You are a Classic Kent! This is excellent, looking for a Salmon Pattie recipe. Thank you. And Bless you all! Pups ❤️

We love salmon patties. And, I like this format very much.
Can you imagine, if you're a working cowboy on a ranch, and the boss man says "oh and we've got a cowboy named Kent Rollins who'll be doing all the cooking during the roundup"? Man I think I'd be willing to work for free.

Terry Porche, I thought the same thing about Old Bay! Poor Man's crab cakes :)
gonna try it today . had the same idea with some old bays .
Your videos just get better and better!
I was raised on salmon patties here in GA. My mom always served them smothered in milk gravy and fried squash. Milk gravy and squash make it the perfect meal so I have continued the way my mom always made them.
Sounds good
I'm from GA also and we eat them with grits, for breakfast.
Loved it! Just add fried okra and some Mac-N-Cheese! Thanks for the fun.
Up here in the northwest we have done that with smoked salmon... mmmm good. Thanks for the content.
made these tonight, good twist on salmon patties, I used baked salmon from last night. I am blessed with lot's of frozen salmon in the freezer. Never had salmon patties made with flour, always bread crumbs and no baking powder, baking powder and flour changes the whole thing. they were good and my son said dad you can make those again.
Glad yall enjoyed
salmon patties , as a kid some 70 odd years ago ,my mom and grand ma did those ,and they were killer to die for, thanks for the reminder of the(my) days of being a kid of 10, thanks Ken......
Good afternoon Kent, and here I thought I had the best salmon patty recipe. I was wrong. I think the baking powder is a really good tip. These have great taste with no fishy smell in the house. Thanks for the video. Always appreciate your tips, tricks, and techniques. And to top it off, I eat alot better. Good luck and stay healthy.
Kent is my cowboy idol!
Just found your channel and you make me feel as I am in the kitchen with you. Love your personality and your recipes too.
Hey Cowboy Kent
My mom made the same Salmon or Mackerel Patties from the can. It was hard times in the 1970's so My mom made great food on the cheap. I'm not telling you anything you don't know! It was hard in the 70"s and I was a small kid and my parents worked there butts off to give my sister and me the best food that can afford! So I really love this video. That said I saw the live Video almost 2 years ago and I loved it. I'm going to Wally World tomorrow and buy some Salmon or Mackerel in the can.
Good eating it is, and those were sure good times
Love these videos. We all need this especially now. Can’t wait to see what ya cook up next. Thanks Kent and Shan

My mom sometimes substitutes Mackerel in the patties.
Hey, I was thinking the same thing...
@@Texasboy1960 Many times my mother used Mackerel also. With the large family we had, the Mackerel went further and was cheaper than the Salmon.
I just made tuna patties Friday! You can even use canned chicken too.
