Tons of really great and interesting varieties growing over there. Going to be a fun grow year. The Terra Cota tomato was one that had me and Angel triggered big time late last year. We have a friend that grows in zone 3b Canada and the Terra Cota was a cold tolerating type that lasted alot longer than her others. It may be one that keeps giving late into the Fall. The Dark Galaxy is really unique as well and high on our 'grow bucket' list someday. Lots of cool stuff. Thanks for the share!
Thanks, UT!! Yes, very fun...as long as the weather cooperates this year, haha! So you both loved the Terra Cotta? It seems so interesting to me! Yeah, I've got quite the Grow bucket list of tomatoes! Haha! So fun. We'll never get tired of trying new ones it sounds like. Thanks for watching, friend!
Nice job on the tomato plants...I rarely post videos about my gardening, I guess because I'm better at gardening than talking. LOL. Kohlrabi is bulbing up quite nicely and have already harvested one the size of a softball. These are the Kossak variety so they are supposed to get about as big as your head, so I'm looking forward to that in the next couple weeks. Squash plants I planted have already bloomed out and my girlfriend has already harvested the first squash off of it. I kinda spaced out the planting of those because I didn't want to be harvesting more squash than we can eat all at once, so I planted two plants at the start of April and waited 3 weeks before I planted the other two plants. My tomato plants are just a mixture of 3 different varieties. 5 Hossinator from Hoss Tools, 6 Mountain Fresh, and 5 Celebrity. All of which are a determinant variety so once they make, the plants will die off and I can start planting something else in those spots for an early fall crop. I've also got 9 pepper plants started, anywhere from Yellow Jalapeno, Gouchujang, Habanero, Sweet Paprika, to a Red Round type pepper that I forgot the name of.LOL Cucumbers are just now reaching the trellis, Peas are half way up the cattlepanel trellis, and onions are coming out of the ground tomorrow. Some have started going to seed, so I'm told they need to be gotten up. My Pak Choi i think did the best this year than any other year. I mixed up my own seed starting mix and it did so well, that I decided to plant the entire batch of pak choi in a 2 gallon pot with it and they all did great. Pssst.....My seed starter mix is simple....1 equal part of peat moss to 1 bag black kow compost and 1 quart of pearlite. Mix thoroughly in a wheel barrow and you'll have LOTS of seed starting mix to start all your plants. I think you'll be surprised at the grow rate. But yea, thats about it for now, I guess I kinda dragged this comment out. Best of Luck in your garden this year.
